I get the large bowl, with the creamy wasabi ahi, rice, and imitation crab topped with edamame, kale, masago (roe), crunchy garlic, and sweet onion. I add my own extra cucumber, kale, and avocado. And this is by far the closest tasting to what you can get out in Hawaii. Some of the reviews were complaining about portions but I've been twice so far and the portion is very large. Well, there's nothing wrong with their food. It's the service changed. I used to go in there and they would hook it up with food not being stingy with the way they would put a scoop. I went in today and supposedly it's under new management and I feel like I got half the food that I usually get but paid more. I got this order picked up by someone else so I can't really comment on the service and ambiance... but the food was pretty good. I think the only downside for me was the scallop. Came here when they were almost closing but were still welcomed in and treated amazingly. I wasn't sure what to get but the staff member was very helpful. It was very clean and everything looked fresh. The food was delicious, the spicy tuna was so good. It had so much flavor and was actually spicy. The Sauces they have to add were great. The concept may not be original (choose your base + protein + mix ins + sauce + sides + extras + crunch), but the food is fresh and tasty. I did a medium bowl (3 protein + 2 side): spicy tuna + salmon + octopus over brown rice. The price is fair and you get a decent amount of food. Normally a good go to spot but today ordered online and received the worst bowl ever! The chili powder looked as if the top fell off of it and piled super thick on top. So bad to the point that i tried to scrape it off but could not eat it. Couldn't taste anything past the chili powder. I was craving poke for dinner and we happened to be by Poke Bar. There are plenty of different places to eat right off 83rd and Bell but poke was calling my name. There was no one there when we walked in and the guy working was super friendly and helpful. For a medium bowl and 2 macaron ice cream sandwiches it came to $20. The poke bowl was a good size and the protein and veggies tasted fresh. The krab mix was weird though it wasn't a salad but dried shredded imitation crab. It was just dry and didn't mix well with everything else. The food was fresh but was not my favorite but everyone's taste is different. This is definitely no poke bowl from Haiwai but for the price and the portion size, you definitely cannot complain. Not living in Hawaii and as a native New Yorker, I am accustomed to paying double the price for half the portion comparatively to Poke Bar. I got the medium bowl thinking this should be a-ok for me and BOY, was that a surprise. With the 10+ toppings you can add, on top of the rice/salad and 3 choices of protein, you are looking at a whopping few pounds worth of food. I picked all the toppings with Hawaiian tuna and spicy tuna and the decision was non-regrettable. The seafood will never be as fresh as you desire because this is Arizona and most of the seafood arrive flash-frozen but the marinate they utilize is spot on. They have the usual here, a variety of types of marinated tuna, octopus, salmon, shrimp, and tofu but no crab! I love poke with crab. They only have imitation crab as a topping. So I tried their specialty tuna marinades and they were good, one in particular was memorable it was a sweet Hawaiian marination. As for toppings, they carry the usual but they lacked pickled toppings, they only have pickeled ginger. Most places have a couple of pickled items to choose from. I was not too fond of their seaweed, maybe it's their marination. I usually love seaweed. Wouldn't be my go-to poke place as there are better ones in the valley but if I'm in the area and craving poke then I'll head back in. read more

I would give more stars, however the last few times I have been in, there is a gentleman who gives inconsistent portions sizes and takes forever to get the line down. While getting my walk on near my hotel, I noticed they were opened. A fairly good amount of protein selections to choose from. They have three size to choose from. Two protein, Three protein and Four protein. I decided on salmon and octopus on spring mix. For mix in I pretty much add everything except the pineapple. For add on, I added the crab meat and seaweed. For sauce, I requested spicy mayo , ponzu and the spicy house sause. I think she didn't hear me asking for spicy mayo because it doesn't taste like there were any but that's ok. My bowel was very tasty and healthy. Might come back since I have another week in town but I'm trying to spread the money around to help business during this Coronavirus. read more
