Satisfactory poke place My wife and I are exploring poke places in the area and decided to drop by poke bop. Not the biggest shop but ample seating. Good service. They had scallops which was a cool protein option and sprouts but some other items like seaweed salad and imitation crab meat were extra $. They had green tea rice which is an interesting marketing device but didn't taste too different to me and didn't stand out as much as regular sushi rice. About $15 a person for 2 protein scoops. Not bad, would come again if I was in the mood for poke and didn't want to drive too far but I'd say Poke Sushi Roll is better.
Decent poke spot! Good spot if you are in a pinch and need something healthy! Love that they give you a decent portion of for you ask for something extra on the bowl!
If you want something that you can actually swallow and put down- DO NOT COME HERE. I've never had more ROTTEN tasting fish than this in my whole entire life. The awful taste of the fish is still in my mouth- almost as if it had been sitting out there for a week. The customer service was great I had no issues there but I had to give it a 1 because I almost threw up after eating it. I got a mango milk drink too and that's a big No for me too. Just don't waste your money here! I was so looking forward to it too. It's such a disappointment.

Love their build your own bowl option. You can choose regular or large. The large is three scoops of protein. You pick a base between rice or greens, protein, then other toppings. I get salmon and imitation crab. Don't forget the crispy rice puff at the end. Service is always friendly. Ambience is fast go food but there are seatings. It's a family friendly place
I was so excited to find a place with poke but this place was more more of drop than a bop. I got the build your own poke bowl in the poke ritto seaweed wrap with the spicy tuna and cured salmon from the online system. They only allowed one sauce so I got the sriracha aioli sauce with some toppings inside. When I started to eat my wrap, I honestly could barely taste anything aside from rice. They give so little meat or toppings which was pretty disappointing. I finished the wrap barely having tasted anything aside from rice. There really was nothing memorable about this wrap. The sauce didn't help the flavor much either and the whole wrap was like dried rice. Next time I think I might go in person and ask for little rice and more meat/sauce.
Stopped in here for a healthy option before the gym and I was more than amazed. I did the build your own bowl with scallops and tuna. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and gave fair portions. And the food was amazing. Great healthy quick option.
This place is Top Notch! As it has Grade A Ahi Tuna, Great Quantity, and isn't over priced! Quality Poke, Clean Atmosphere, Priced just right! There is a reason this is one of my Top Ranking Poke spots in DFW!
Best poke in dallas hands down. Been a lot of other places but I've stopped bc nothing compares to here. My favorite bowl is the shrimp and scallops and I love adding pineapple, seaweed salad, edamame, and ginger. My boyfriend loves the satoshi spicy tuna and he loves the edamame as well as the radish sprouts. The green tea rice is the best filler imo. Bowls are like $13 but you get so much that it's totally worth it. Come here if you want some quality poke with ample portion sizes. Some places seriously skimp on toppings but not this place.
3.5/5. I visited Poke Bop on a Friday evening around 6ish, as was surprised to see the store devoid of patrons, being populated only by the 4 or so employees working. Was a little sketched out at first thought, since there are so many good yelp reviews of this place -- why would a place so highly rated and seemingly popular be so empty on a Friday night? The employees were really nice, helpful, and patient, although they did take their time with our order. The organic green tea rice is an interesting option, as it's not something you see quite often, but I am sad to say that I wasn't a fan. It tasted not very different from how regular white rice tastes -- the green tea flavor didn't seem to soak into the rice, even though the rice is visibly green. The rice was also fairly soggy, probably from being cooked/soaked in the green tea. Even though we got a large bowl with 3 scoops of protein, it seemed like there wasn't enough fish to last through the entire bowl. Don't get me wrong, a large bowl is a ton of food and enough for 2 to enjoy, but the scoops of fish seemed to be rather skimpy. All in all, this place is pretty decent. Really clean inside and nice employees, but the food was just subpar to other poke places I've eaten and it was on the pricier end.

With endless menu creations and so many fresh seafood options, you can't go wrong. A large bowl full of delicious fresh tuna and all the finishings is only about 12 dollars. The service was super quick and the restaurant was very clean. I can't wait to go back! read more

Poke' Bop rocks! Great little restaurant, if your up for a Poke Bowl. Curious why you are seeing more Poke restaurants? It is the fact that all they need is a rice cooker and refrigeration. So Poke restaurants are cheaper to open than convention restaurants, with full kitchens. This restaurant has a variety of Poke Bowls, so the options to choose from are nice. I selected the Salmon Crunch Bowl, with salmon, corn, cucumber, Kaiser, onion crisps, rice puffs, garlic oil sauce, with jalapeno, on green tea rice. Great flavors, delicious food, and very healthy! Sushi bowls ! Small little sushi spot off of Lemmon Ave. It is not very noticeable from the street but it's next to a very busy Starbucks. This is a first for me, it's sushi but in a bowl. So you start with green tea rice, brown rice, greens or quinoa mix. Then you select your protein which can be tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, shrimp, scallops, chicken or tofu. The rest is all up to your customization really, and they have a variety of choices you just have to see. I chose the easier choice and I picked one of their pre-customized choices. I decided to pick the Poké Bop Classic bowl. It comes with green tea rice, 2 scoops of tuna marinated in a soy sauce, chopped sweet onion, scallions, hijiki seaweed, soy marinated cucumber, kaiware, sesame oil, sesame seeds and soy sauce. The only thing I did different was add seaweed salad because it tastes so good. They prep everything in front of you, much similar to other places and hand it to you once done. The bowl that i got was $11.95 and it was, well, smaller than I thought but hey I'm new to this so I tried it out. The ingredients definitely tasted fresh, and the flavors were good, but not great. For me personally it did not fill me up but I wouldn't be against trying it again. The place is very clean and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place and I will come back but probably for lunch, not for dinner. read more
My husband is from Portland and has spent a great deal of time in Maui the last 10 years. We've been looking for a poke place that can compare to Maui or the fresh fish from the Pacific North West - and we've found it here at Poke Bop! The combinations of the food are not traditional Hawaiian but they don't claim to be, which we both ended loving that about this place. They have taken Poke and elevated it! The fish is FRESH, the cuts of fish are perfectly sized and portioned. The flavors of the sauces are loud enough to notice but don't overpower the fish. Every element of the bowls we got did not disappoint. The green tea rice is something I've never experienced before and it was heaven. Perfectly sticky and flavored. We got The Hawaiian bowl and the Spicy Tuna Bowl. I highly recommend either for your first try here. We can't wait to go back. The staff here is very welcoming and cheery. Krystal gave me her honest about the menu and recommendations. She also recommended I add the tempura crunch bits and fried garlic. It completed my bowl perfectly. Well done, Poke Bop! read more

TL;DR - Poke bowls here are just okay. There are many other better options for poke around the Dallas area. Avoid the poke donut. Would not recommend. Go to Go Fish Poke! I can't keep up with all the pokē places popping up in the DFW. Finally made my way around to Poke Bop mostly because I wanted a cute picture of the poke donut for my Instagram. I had a feeling the donut wouldn't taste so great but I fell for the novelty of it and guess what? The donut I got was like the reject donut - forgotten and pushed to the back of the fridge. The majority of the masago and tobiko had fallen off and the donut itself just didn't look presentable at all...sloppy and unappetizing. The donut I was given must have been sitting in the fridge for awhile because the rice was really hard. The rice that made up the donut was mixed with a few pieces of crab (about 95% rice, 5% crab). It also came with two very thin slices of salmon and two very thin slices of tuna. The quality of the raw fish was meh - don't come in expecting high quality fish. I highly recommend passing on the donut. $7.95? Not worth. Poke donut = 1/5. Not edible. Side note: I spoke with the manager about selling me a terrible product. He was minimally apologetic and said "I do eat them all the time and they are far better than any sushi roll in Dallas that I have had." The manager clearly does not have a grasp of what good sushi is. I also got a regular bowl with their green tea white rice, salmon, and spicy tuna. I liked that they offered a variety add-ins and toppings. I didn't like that the crab meat was an extra $1 and thought it seemed a tad unreasonable as it did not seem quality enough to cost that much. The $11.95 price for a REGULAR bowl sans crab was already pretty steep but I figured it was so expensive because of the location. At least the mango isn't extra. The mangos were very sweet and fresh. Cucumbers were all dried out. The ordering system is similar to Subway in which you go on down the line telling them what toppings and add-ins you want. Overall I would give my pokebowl a 3/5 - not bad but the stingy Asian in me is just thrown off by the $1 extra charge for crab meat. $12.95 is more than enough for me to get a LARGE bowl from other poke places and have the crab meat included! Will I be back? NOPE. read more
My husband and I waited for months for Poke Bop to open and we are so glad it finally did! It's super convenient for us since we live just 2 blocks away. So happy to see more Poke joints opening up in the DFW area. First thing I noticed off the bat was the staff at Poke Bop could not be more welcoming and friendly. It is an assembly line type of place where you can order one of their signature bowls, or build your own. Since this place is rather new, I think they are still working out the logistics/efficiency of the place - so give yourself some extra time as the line does not move very fast. The portions are big, and they definitely don't skimp on anything! Love the fact that their larger bowl isn't just a bigger physical bowl, it just means 3 scoops of protein instead of 2 (so that means they're not giving your more rice, etc. - very fair). They have a variety of fresh toppings you can choose from - unlimited, with just a few of those items that cost extra, like avocado, crab salad, etc. For the base, they have green tea white rice, brown rice, mixed greens and/or quinoa to choose from. Everything was fresh, tasty, and delicious at a VERY reasonable price point. I can totally see myself going there and getting just protein, greens and quinoa on those days I just don't feel like cooking. Looking forward to going back soon! read more
With all the poke shops popping up around Dallas, it's pretty exciting to try and catch 'em all! Poke' Bop finally opened up on Lemmon, so Alex H, GC, and I stopped by to check it out. The location makes it a really convenient stop driving from campus or surrounding areas. Like how most poke shops work, pick a signature bowl (no extra effort required) from the menu, or make your own bowl and choose your proteins, base, toppings, etc. like how you would at Subway or Chipotle. The starting regular (2 scoops of protein) bowl price is a bit steep ($12), but the bowls start out pretty big! The workers were all genuinely really nice and patiently explain anything you have questions about :D You can choose half and half for the base (e.g. half vegetable salad, half white rice). Love how there's no topping limit like at Pok Bar :) They are also people-who-are-scared-of-eating-raw-things and vegetarian-friendly! Tofu, chicken, and sous vide (water bath cooked) scallops and shrimp are offered as well. And poke-rittos, which are like sushi-rittos/burritos with white rice instead of tortilla. Definitely the first place I've seen offering chicken or quinoa as a base~ Oh! And they have poke donuts, which are rings of rice topped with sashimi ^^b The fish (salmon was my favorite) is so delicious! Almost a melt-in-your-mouth quality that makes you smile ^o^ A touch disappointed about how tiny the scoops for protein were~ Some of the pieces aren't entirely cut and separated, meaning two pieces would sort of dangle together or have to be separated yourself-- first world problems, I know! Some of the other toppings, like the green onion, also had the same problem. The effort is there (you can see all the cuts), but it still ends up being a chunk of green onion. Small point, but attention to details can make a place stand out, no? :) There are tables and also window seating for solo-diners. Self-served cucumber and lemon-flavored waters are available on the side. Ramune (Japanese sodas), Mochi ice cream, matcha/vanilla ice cream sandwhiches, and even Bungeoppang (Korean fish-shaped vanilla and adzuki/sweet red bean paste ice cream sandwiches) are offered to end your meal on a sweet note ^_^ All in all, Poke Bop has a great start with its service, location, flavor, and awesome toppings with room to grow. It's a great and non-intimidating place to be introduced to poke or hang out~ Find this cute poke shop across from Buffalo Wild Wings! Parking is a bit of a challenge, but feel free to park in the neighborhood streets. If you're in the area with a hungry belly, check this place out for a fresh, casual, and delicious meal! :D read more

As a poke lover, I'm happy to have found such a good poke spot in Dallas on my first try! With generous portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and plenty of options, it's safe to say I will be returning here for lunch several more times in the future. I really enjoyed my spicy salmon and tuna proteins, as well as the wasabi aioli sauce (not too spicy, for anybody who is worried about that!). The green tea rice was also surprisingly delicious-- it was slightly sweet and I can't say I tasted much green tea in it, but I still thought it was a great base. The seaweed salad and crab salad were probably my favorite add-ins, and the rice puffs were a great "crunchy" to finish the bowl with! My boyfriend got a similar bowl but with the Korean BiBim sauce, which he said had quite the kick to it (but in a good way). read more
An Instagram pic of the sushi-ritto brought me to this spot last week! And I am so happy that not only is this food Instagrammable but the flavor holds up great. It's a small well lit casual place. You start by choosing your base, which in my case was the seaweed wrap and get your proteins and other add-ons. I got two scoops of Tofu and added cucumber, edamame, corn, avocado and cilantro. A heavily tatted guy rolled the wrap with dexterity. I don't know why I expected Asians at this place. I know, I'm terrible. I'm sorry I doubted you earlier Tat guy! You were awesome. The girl at the counter was so helpful and her suggestions for sauces were on point. She packed us some extra samples of sauces so we could decide what we liked best. Please get the wasabi aioli and the korean bibim sauce. Those sauces are winners!!! She even convinced us to get the half-off sake bottles! She deserves a 5 star. Now the poke-ritto itself was so so amazing. Its everything you expect from a sushi and more. My friends loved the meaty options they tried. It's a big size roll that I finished in no time. I'll recommend this place to everyone I know and I can't wait to go back here. read more

Poke Bop kicks butt. This is the happiest and most reasonably priced poke place I've come across in Uptown area. I would choose it any day of the week over Pok in West Village. Bowls are colorful, just look at the pics *wow*. Big fan of the seaweed salad. Portions are generous and definitely shareable. Staff doesn't side-eye you when you go overboard on toppings and sauces. Bowls are packaged very safely for to-go travel with individual sauce/topping containers. Very friendly place! I've been back multiple times and am always impressed. Word on the street is they're opening a Lakewood location too. read more

$13.94 plus tip for a poke bowl where seaweed and crab are extra? I think not. Plus a queezy stomach afterwards. This has unfortunately not been a good experience. There are better less expensive options out there... so "bop" into another poke place! read more

Wow,Wow,Wow and Wow. my son went and picked up a bowl of food from Poke Bop on lemmon ave. and all i can say is that I was delight with the great taste of ingredients in the bowl. The bowl had fresh chicken , scrumptious shrimp, tasty avocado, fresh pineapple, perfectly cooked rice, crunchy cucumbers etc..it was stacked so high that i have enough for a midnight snack, "now thats what Im talking bout"...all i can say is that you got to go in and try it out yourself and just like a fish you will be hooked.. thanks for the great food Poke Bop..catch you later. read more

I ordered the create your own poke bowl (from Uber eats) which was tasty, however, portions were very small. I had the regular bowl that looked like an extra small kids bowl. The bowl had maybe 5 mini sized shrimps and maybe a tablespoon of small cut up spicy tuna. Perhaps I should have ordered a large. The miso soup wasn't good at all, I consumed about 3 spoonful and put it down the drain. I never received my mango boba which was very disappointing because that was part of my main reason for ordering here. Uber Eats did however refund me my money for the missed item. I would consider ordering again based on the taste of the food. read more

After a good workout, I decided to stop by and try Poke' Bop down Lemmon Ave. I ordered the regular bow with Green tea rice and a scoop of Spicy Tuna and Seared Salmon. Then added corn, cucumber, Jalapenos, and diced mango. Topped it off with Sriracha Aioli, Garlic Aioli, and some onion crisps. My first experience trying a Poke Bowl and it was impeccable. Food was fresh, light and tasty. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely see you again Poke' Bop. read more

My daughter and I were very pleased with the overall meals we had. I ate the original Poke Bop bowl and it was delicious, fresh and the speed at which we received our meal was fantastic. My daughter ate the sushi bagel which she has wanted to try for a while. Servings could be a bit larger but overall we would recommend Poke. Back parking is available but was still full but we had no problem parking on the street. read more
So yummy! Light and filling. A little pricey, but I'm learning that's the price you pay for good poke. Parking here is a little tricky, but there's street parking in the neighborhood of the parking lot in front and behind is full. I had a tuna and salmon regular bowl with seaweed, crab mix ($1 extra), avocado (also $1 extra), edamame, green tea rice and Sriracha aioli. Also tried the poke donut (just because I could). I'll be back! Great for lunch. read more

Awesome restaurant! I came here for dinner and ended up creating my own bowl with the spicy tuna and salmon. The fish was flavorful and of really good quality! I'd say the same for both their veggies and their sauces available. All the ingredients were very fresh and the level of customization was awesome! read more
