This is my secret pokebowl place. The one in timonium is so much closer to my house but I always come to this one up here near Hunt valley. Everything is better and cheaper. The only bad thing is that this is literally run by a couple so I'm not sure if they can handle a big order at once. So if you put in a big order, expect to wait a little. They also never reopened dine-in tables since COVID so there is literally just a table and chair and the place is not really much to look at. Take out orders are perfectly fine with me. Unlike other places they don't skimp out on stuff if you order online. They give you the same bowl stuffed with fresh fish and usual ingredients. This certainly get a five star for value. The only reason I gave four stars to this place is I usually only give five stars to something at Michelin levels. read more

Poke Bowl is hands down my go-to place for sushi. The quality is amazing, and the price is unbeatable--it's hard to find a better deal anywhere else. Even though I've moved out of the area, I'll still drive back to this location because I enjoy it so much. Every time I've visited, the place hasn't been too busy, and there's usually just one or two people working, but they're always friendly and efficient when I order. I had driven by this place many times but finally decided to see what's what. The interior isn't much to look at but I ordered carry-out, a Sushi Delight and a Sashimi Delight. I went in and the man behind the counter was still slicing and preparing everything. The sashimi slices were some of the biggest I've ever seen and it was all very fresh and he gave me miso soup and ginger salad. The sashimi was salmon, tuna and yellowtail. The sushi included a couple pieces of broiled eel and a couple pieces of tako (octopus). I wouldn't say it's a dine-in destination but if you want good sushi/sashimi without anything fancy at a good price, give them a try! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed yet! Poke bowl is right up the street from both home and work so I get bowls fairly frequently. Staff is super nice and the portions are huge. Lots of topping and sauce choices. I think they also have pre-built bowls you can order (like menu items if you don't want to create your own-- but I always create my own!) Compared to the location in timonium, very sub par poke bowl. The fish was not as fresh, and the portions for add-ons (edamame, carrots, etc) were minimal. The saddest part was at the end when I asked for some add on sauces.. the dude added a ridiculous amount (when I quite literally asked for a small amount) which essentially made the bowl not edible and drowned out any other tastes. I probably should have just asked to remake it, but given I was in a hurry I couldn't. Overall, not a good experience and the place just isnt as good as the timo location. Yum! We have been on the hunt for decent takeout since moving to the Towson area. We have struck out a few places so have been leery about trying new places but I was craving poke and my fiancé wanted sushi. We lucked out! We ordered through DoorDash and got a build your own bowl, the red dragon roll, and the doremi roll. To our surprise, they also included a small salad and miso soup on the side for free! The $15 build your own bowl option is perfect and has so many free toppings you can add in addition to your choice of rice and protein. The ahi tuna wasn't the *best* I've ever had--but the bowl was pretty yummy and huge (will end up being 2 meals for me!) Both rolls were pretty good too! Delivery took about 40 minutes. I love poke and I wish I could give this place a better rating, but my experience was just okay. There were no other customers when I arrived in the middle of the afternoon. I opted to make my own poke bowl. The woman behind the counter was very impatient and rushed me through my order. I did not see any prices posted, but was surprised at how reasonable my large portion was--that's a big plus. On the other hand, I was told that I could only select one protein and my salmon turned out to be not so flavorful. (Most poke places I've been to give you the option to pick one, two, or three proteins!) The rice was the majority of my bowl and it definitely needed more sauce. Omg their sushi burrito options are amazing! I'm not from the area but come here occasionally and WOW, WAY WAY better than the options I have in Northern VA. Tastes delicious and super fresh. I had to review. It's my favorite poke place tbh and an hour fifteen minutes from me. Please check this place out. It looks like recent reviews haven't been favorable but our experience here was decent. I got the make-it-yourself poke bowl and loved the variety and size. The salmon tasted great and I felt like the quantity of salmon was sufficient. On the other hand, my husband got some sushi rolls wherein the non-salmon fish (namely the tuna) tasted less fresh. On Yelp, there is a free soda with check-in. Unfortunately the owner didn't seem to know anything about it but he was kind of enough to honor it for my husband and actually let me have a free soda too. It wasn't crowded at all here on a Friday night but we did see others coming for take out. We may come here for poke again but we'll probably skip the tuna rolls. read more

Great eats here! Fresh , tasty , healthy. As I was passing by to go to the Amish shopping center, I noticed this store. I have seen Poke Bowl type restaurants popping up in major city such as NYC and Philly. So I decided since it was lunch anyways and the BajaFresh branch in cockeysville is closed, I decided to give it a try. The inside is nice and IKEA design like ...contemporary designed...it is refreshing I ordered the Hunt Valley Bowl...you can either make your own Bowl (see pic- Chipolte like) or you can pick a preselected bowl. If you are not into Bowl, they do offer a full sushi menu or sushi burrito. This earns a 5 stars- Note: my rating system is based on similar priced restaurants . Obviously, this is not as good as Azumi Japanese Restaurant in the inner harbor ($$$)...but for the price point...it's 5 stars. You could tell it used to be a frozen yogurt place so the quality of the seafood was what you'd expect. She decided to build her own poke Bowl with Salmon as her protein and a bunch of good things with no rice to complete the deal. I ordered the P1- the Hunt Valley Classic: Salmon, ahi, rice, seaweed salad, cukes, mango, edamame, masago, nori strips and house sauce. The food was great! All basic food groups represented and the items were FRESH! And very tasty. It's like sushi in a bowl. I added soy sauce to boost the flavor a little. Poke Bowl is a fair value for the yuan. Service is friendly and good. Recommend. We shall return sooner than later. read more

Fresh ingredients, decent prices! This will soon be a regular lunch spot since my SO is on low carb diet, and I'm not...that way we can both get something we like which is rare. Ignore the bad reviews, most of them are from people thinking they can take a dump and then order their meal 15min before closing like this is a Subway or something. Or they just think it's a Subway and get real mad. I think if they had opened their establishment closer to Hunt Valley, they'd have a different kind of clientele and more business. They are tucked away and easy to miss if you're driving down York Rd. Poke places are *not* plentiful around this part of MD (but there are probably a lot more to choose from in Catonsville and closer to D.C. region) so shame on the one star review from the cry baby from California. If you didn't eat here, then don't hurt their business with a one star review just because you didn't like the price. It's called supply and demand. Fantastic Poke place! My sister and I both got bowls and we got a bowl to split for 2 little ones. The fish was fresh and there were so many topping options! The seaweed salad is delicious! The kids got a chicken teriyaki bowl and the chicken was so crispy and perfectly cooked. I loved the pickled radishes. Edamame was a great addition and the avocado was super fresh. When we sat down they even brought over some gyoza on the house. That was so kind of them! If we lived closer, I would be here all the time. read more

I just came here with my husband for the first time since it opened, after being convinced it couldn't possibly be any good, based on its random location. I was delightfully surprised! The fish tastes fresh as well as the rest of the ingredients. It definitely hit the spot. To address the frozen yogurt aspect, this place was, for a vey short while, a frozen yogurt place about 3 years ago. Since the frozen yogurt machines were already built in, I suppose to figured they could just capitalize. I'm not mad at it. This was our first time ordering from Poke Bowl. Not sure we will go back. We ordered two of the "popular" items, the York bowl and the crab and cream cheese appetizer. The York bowl was supposed to have tempura shrimp. Tempura is usually a light and crispy coating. This shrimp was heavily breaded and fried, definitely not tempura. I removed the breaded coating and there was only a tiny amount of shrimp (see photo of breading). The majority of the rest of the bowl was rice (picture is of 1/3 the rice). To their credit, the remainder of the bowl was tasty fresh ingredients but the overall bowl was pretty unhealthy. The appetizer was made with fake fish crab and cream cheese shaped in a roll and had the same breaded and fried coating. We ended up throwing it out. Perhaps we may try again and make our own bowl, but our first impressions were not good. read more
