Great fresh alternative to fast food. The ingredients are fresh and vegetables are crisp. I like that you can either create your own bowl or chose a signature bowl. 7/19/21 Yesterday we looked forward to stopping at our favorite Poke spot. We walked in the door and the stench of rotten seafood hit us immediately. The smell was so strong that I couldn't bring myself to enter, let alone allow my children to eat it. I am not sure if we will be able to return and we were frequent customers. Food is fresh and fast! Love it!! A welcome addition to the surprising Mecca of asian food in Newark! The food is great. Very fresh. Lots of combinations (although I get the same thing every time). I usually ask for half the rice because it is so much. Have never had to stand in a really long line. Omggggggggg After trying my first poke bowl in NYC last weekend and having it be the nastiest and blandest thing I ever wasted $14 on I thought to myself, "that can't be right? Was that right? Really, how can something be nasty AND bland at the same time? " I'm so glad I decided to give poke another chance at Poke Bros. I'm sure the signature bowls are great, but go crazy and create your own bc the topping options are amazing and plentiful. And so are the sauce options! Everything was incredibly fresh and it was cool to have Korean options thrown in there as well; specifically the gochujang sauce was fantastic. The fish was nice and cold and fresh and the sushi rice was perfectly cooked. I'm head over heels pleased. And it was only $12.50. Suck it, NYC! read more

This place has absolutely terrible customer service. I have been going here occasionally over the past 2 years and their customer service has gotten worse and worse. The workers never smile and they never say hello until customers say hi first. They throw ingredients on your sushi bowl like they are in a hurry even when there is nobody. The general rudeness of the workers has been bothering me and I had a specific incident yesterday. I added mango into my sushi bowl. They charge 50 cents for one scoop. But the person who was making the sushi bowl put 2 pieces on my bowl. I asked her to put some more since it was not a full portion and I'm paying extra for this ingredient. She reluctantly put a little more. At this point, another worker came out and the person who was making my bowl and this new worker talked in their own language. At the end, they charged me for double scoop. When I got the receipt, I asked them why she charged me for double scoop. The worker said she charged me for double because she had to scoop it twice. So I said, I asked for more because her first scoop was not a full portion. She didn't seem to understand what I was talking about and kept saying the same thing. Because she scooped twice, she charged for double portion. Then she walked away while I was talking to her. It was extremely rude of her. Seriously, the owners need to have some standards and train their workers better so they understand what one full scoop looks like especially for ingredients that they charge extra for. They should also recognize how rude it is to walk away from a customer while the customer is talking to the worker. It is also unacceptable for workers to talk in their own language to each other in front of customers. Because of the extreme rudeness of the workers and consistent unpleasant interactions with them over 2 years and yesterday, I will never go back to this place ever again. I'm not paying a penny at this place. Owners should know they lost a customer because the rude workers. read more

I'll definitely be back! I haven't had luck finding great sushi in Newark. While this isn't sushi, it has all of the sushi ingredients packed into a bowl. Everything is fresh and high-quality. I made my own bowl with sushi rice (which is served warm), pineapple, carrot, edamame, ginger, seaweed salad, spicy tuna, and marinated tuna. It was topped with the OG sauce and the sweet soy sauce. I also added tempura flakes, wonton strips, and cashews. Wow! Sticky, spicy, sweet, crunchy, salty... it hit all the right notes. Very fresh and very filling. read more

My first time on 7/29/20 on your location on 202 in Wilmington, DE and I'm in love with their choices on how you can customized your own bowl. The food taste delicious and they make it clear some of their meat are raw I wish they would be able to cook the salmon but I was happy with their Chichen bowl. I didn't get any loyalty card unless they are not available now. I was happy with their size portion as well as what I paid is reasonable some other places you paid a lot more for less. I have been nervous about trying because I wasn't sure if I'd like poke bowls. I ordered through DoorDash yesterday for the first time. I got the Hula shrimp bowl and 4 mochi's. I was EXTREMELY surprised and quickly OBSESSED with this bowl! The portion is great and I felt that the price was fair for what I got. The mochi's are interesting. Good but strange. The food tastes great. I have never had an issue with that, the issue is with the portion sizes. They continue to shrink every time I visit. Today was extra ridiculous. The person who made it was likely the owner, he was very very fast and the portions were so small that I thought I was getting a half order. Unfortunately when he rang me up at the register, I was not paying half price. In the future, I would rather them raise prices than continue to shrink the portion sizes. read more
