First time here today I got to try all the flavor so. Oyster and sweet and spicy are definitely my favorite. Most places spicy mayo is more creamy but here it's not too creamy even though it's drenched in sauce. All the flavors are rich in taste and the price and quantity are definitely reasonable. So gross and disappointing. I just walked in and the usual older man that always assists me during lunch time, was behind the counter mopping. He asked me for my order & I told mentioned it to him. As he starts to start serving rice immediately, I asked him "weren't you just mopping?"! He chuckled and quickly admitted he was. I said never mind & I just walked out! I was dragged here by a co-worker who had tried to find this mysterious place about five times before. It is located in a strip mall with just a white tarp sign on the front window. The whole mall looks quite sketchy so I was very skeptical about the quality of this poke. When you go into the store, the poke counter is at the back. If you just look in, you would think this was just your little liquor store or somewhere to buy ciggies and lotto. This might be why my co-worker missed it the first five times. Well, I was in for a very pleasant surprise. They have about 8 different varieties of poke and they were all pretty delicious. The varieties they had when I went in were wasabi, original, spicy with mayo, spicy without mayo, oyster sauce, limu, kimchee, and one or two others I cannot recall. All of these flavors can be made using ahi or salmon. I really liked the salmon over the ahi but just personal preference. They also let you sample their flavors before you buy! How awesome is that??? On top of the whole deal is that the people who run the place are super sweet. The poke can come in a bowl with rice ($7.50) or by the pound. They also have spam musubi but not sure how good that one was...for $1.95, it's worth trying though. This place takes cards and has plenty of parking. read more

This was the first time we have been at this location. It was small yet friendly and great service. They provided several samples in order for us to make a choice. We both had Ginger Poke and Adobe Chicken with Rice and a Hawaiian Drink. The taste of the food was amazing and the chicken was oft and very tasty. I sat next to a gentleman who comes from Beverly Hills and was a pleasure having lunch. The atmosphere was very down to earth and a great place to have a meal. The price was very reasonable. Poke flavors were good. Fish was a little fishy but was pretty good. Fresh, great color and no veins but seemed too cold and almost frozen. I would not go back but maybe my expectations are too high. This is my new favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. Tucked away in the back of a market, you'll find mouth watering home made Hawaiian cuisine fresh and superbly tasty. There is no seating area. This is a to go place. But if you are a food lover, the food is second to none. I came by not knowing anything about poke, but I was at the ikea Down the street and did a search for the highest rated food nearby. They gave me samples of several types of Poke and I selected a combo that came with poke + some Hawaiian pork and cabbage+ rice. Fantastic!!. Now I'm thinking I'm going to be driving regularly to Carson from DTLA just to eat at this place. read more

BEST POKE' in the South Bay! Poke' Etc is my favorite lunch spot to get fresh Ahi Poke'. They use fresh fish from Hawaii to make a wide selection of Limu, Spicy Mayo, Oyster Sauce, Garlic and Kimchi Poke'. They also make great Curry Chicken and Chicken Katsu plates. They have taco poke', seaweed salad, musubi and a wide selection of other Hawaiian style treats! The aloha spirit is strong in this family style business and I definitely recommend this spot for the freshest poke in town! read more

Nothing has changed, this place is still a great poke place in Carson. I just wanted to add that I tried the longonisa Illocos style and I WASN'T a fan. I liked the vinegar taste, but I didn't like the texture of the meat inside nor the chunks of fat. I will stick to the traditional longonisa that I grew up with, sweet and garlicy. read more

I prefer this Hawaiian style where they create the combination for you over the "Chipotle" style where you have to choose everything. I've had the Cali Hawaiian (basically a California roll poke with tuna, crab, about, and mayo) and Ahi Limu (more traditional style Hawaiian poke). They're super nice and let you sample if you're not sure. They offer brown or white rice or salad as a base. I haven't tried their combo plates (another meat entree +rice+poke) but I definitely would love to! read more

This foodchain is by far the best poke. i was numbed out since living in torrance, the nearest was long beach. when i found out there was an opening near Carson it was a must! food has reasonable pricing & poportion. MUST TRY SPICY MAYO. They run out fast so that's a downfall :/ read more

Found this place on yelp while in the area visiting my eye doctor. We loved the spicy poke without mayo and the Kim chee poke/lau lau plate. :-) yum! The limu poke was good, but could have used a bit more soy. The lady behind the counter was nice, but a bit hard to understand. We will be back soon to try their poke bowls. read more

Hit this place up on the way to LAX. Loved the local vibe. As we entered we were greeted by singing coming from the kitchen in the back. Although they were pretty busy for a rainy day, the owner (I'm assuming) was super friendly and nice, and the food just as good. We got the poke bowls. Was actually going to get Filipino food for lunch, but got side tracked when I noticed this place. Got myself the poke bowl and chose the spicy mayo. Should have guessed as much how poor the quality was with my lunch priced at $6.95 for a poke bowl! It was too good to be true. Good gracious the ahi was not fresh at all! It was very chewy and a lot of gristle. I'm surprised how many people on here think this place is at all good. I'm assuming they've yet to have had the chance to try amazing fresh quality poke. What a shame! But then again it is Carson. Never will I stray again when I go get my Filipino food! read more
