I had such a lovely first experience at Sweet Salty Poke! Jin was so warm and friendly. It was easy to order and build my own bowl. They have so many protein and topping options to mix in. They give huge portions and have a variety of sauce flavors. They have a large seating area inside and drink selection. Plenty of free parking, but it does get busy since there a many other food businesses around. Overall, great experience, food tasted fresh, and I'll definitely be back! read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon and definitely carpooled with a friend because the parking in this plaza can be hectic at times. We were greeted promptly by a friendly worker and choose to dine-in on one of their small tables inside. I ordered: A Small sized bowl with salad as a base. It came with 2 different protein options, multiple veggie toppings, imitation crab, seaweed salad, masago, and ginger. It's mixed with the sauces of your choice and topped with dry mix ins, such as crunch onion and garlic, furikake, or nuts. I would recommend the Spicy House sauce mix, which included their spicy mayo (which was actually pretty spicy!) and their house sauce. Was it exceptional? Came here recently and was seriously impressed. The poke was super fresh and full of flavor everything tasted clean and high quality. What really stood out though was the owner's generosity. Been here once before and I was good. Decided to try it again. Great place. Food: It's a poke spot but it's more than that. It's amazing and the way you create you're bowl is completely customizable. The portions are great. It comes in three (3) sized (S) (M) and (L) the large is $19.25 and you get the base which I always get rice and than you get 4 proteins + all the toppings you want. They also provide sauce combinations as well and if you're not sure they have a breakdown menu for sauce combos. Everything is fresh and has great taste. NOTE: They stopped selling the nocho option. So sad because nachos under the Poke was the best. Atmosphere: The restaurant is nice and clean it's simple and welcoming. Great colors and has some seating space. Service: The staff was so nice and patient obviously having a create your own bowl takes some decision making so allowing me to make my decisions without feeling rushed was amazing. Price: Prices are good for the amount of food you get and you get a really good amount. I will say I added extra vegetables and my medium poke bowl came out $2 higher but honestly it's totally worth it. Not mad at all. Location: It's located in Gardena off Western Blvd and Redondo Blvd. In what I like to call restaurant row. Great location. So so good! Found this on DoorDash and I'm so glad I tried it. It tasted really fresh. I got the small bowl which I felt you still got a lot of food! Very good bang for your buck imo. I got the spicy tuna and spicy mayo, between the two it is really spicy so beware if you don't like a lot of spice. I can't speak on the service and ambiance since I didn't dine in but my meal was prepared and delivered pretty quickly. Miso soup was a little watered down but still really good for the price. I will be ordering from here again in the future. read more

The poke itself is really good and tastes fresh. I got the tuna and salmon with spicy mayo and enjoyed it as much as I have with other poke spots. Customer service is excellent and the store is very comfortable and relaxing to enjoy a quiet meal. My only complaint is the portion size to price ratio. It maybe be because I got a small but my total was about $17 for about half the size as other places. I really want to see this place succeed and hope the criticism can be taken into consideration. You can't beat the convenience as a gardena local in Tozai plaza. Poke 4/5 really good Customer service 5/5 mom and pop feel and hospitality Wait 5/5 Very Quick Price and portion 3/5 the only thing holding it back in my opinion I hope there's a line out the door when I come back :) read more

Moved to the area from out of state several months ago and as a sushi and poke connoisseur, I've been on the hunt for some new favorite places. I've tried a good handful of poke spots in the last few months but none really made me want to go back -- I'm very picky, especially when it comes to consuming raw fish. Today being Black Friday, I didn't want to subject myself to going outside and dealing with the craziness on the road, but I was craving poke and Sweet Salty came up in my search on Uber Eats. I'm so glad it did! I ordered a small, and I'll say they were VERY generous with the portions and sauces. What they gave me would be considered a medium or large in my old city! The quality of the fish was incredible as well. The fish was fresh and diced in good sizes, and I appreciated that the sauces didn't overpower the flavor of the fish. The rice was cooked perfectly, and I was extremely happy with the portion of imitation crab they provided -- most places I've been to are stingy with the imitation crab, but Sweet Salty gave me a portion as big as the rice scoop, and I was thrilled! Overall, excellent poke spot and definitely worth it. It's so hard to find good quality poke at a reasonable price, but Sweet Salty is a fantastic choice. I will absolutely be back and telling all of my foodie friends and family about how good this place is! read more

Lots of parking from a shared lot. Bathroom is nice but needs a code from employee to open. Always get the full of joy for the sauce profile. Tried this poke place with some friends for lunch and it was pretty good! As my base, I chose white rice. I got a small bowl, which comes with 2 different proteins. I got the tuna and salmon. For toppings, I got ginger, green onions, white onions, edamame, imitation crab, seaweed salad and masago (I did not realize they charged extra for the masago. All poke places I've been to, masago has always been included so I was surprised they charge for this topping.) For sauces, I got the house sauce and ponzu. Boy oh boy, that Ladybug Fried Chicken was amazing. The batter had so much flavor and added to the juicy chicken. Pair that with you salad and mac salad.. oh my.. youre tasting a slice of Heaven! Fair warning, there is some grinded celery in the mac salad, so if youre allergic then let them know. Otherwise, that aroma of celery added so much depth to the mac. I can't emphasize enough, there is so much love in the food and the servers take gooooood care of you. It was also amazing to see how much attention to detail the owners put in the restaurant. There is ladybug decor all throughout the place and hand drawn papers from customers. It was really neat to see how much love they receive from their customers.

The chips that came with the dip were obviously freshly-made wontons and I could have eaten a hundred of them. The dip was good but not as flavorful as I had hoped or had in the past. For the chicken bowl, the rice and cucumbers that came with the chicken were excellent. You get a ton of mac salad and it is excellent. The chicken was solid, too. Unless they are hiding in plain sight, the places that just sell fresh poke, without the bowl, are few and far between in Southern California. I love poke bowls, too, but sometimes the poke by itself (with the different sauces and seasoning) is just incredible. This spot serves delicious fresh poke and I will always be a fan.

I wanted to bring a serious issue to your attention regarding my recent order. I purchased two poke bowls, and when I got home and opened them, I found a live fly walking all over one of the plates. Given the situation, I had to throw both bowls away for health and hygiene reasons. This was a complete waste of money and extremely disappointing. I expected much higher standards, and this experience has left me unwilling to return or recommend your restaurant. I hope you take this seriously and investigate the issue to prevent it from happening to others. read more

I've been coming here for years since they opened I am not a review kinda person but I have always enjoyed the service and the food here. The owners a nice lady so today to hear she received a poor review I felt I had to step up and show my appreciation. To tell people to come on by and try great poke. A clean environment with decent prices. My favorite is the number 6 house sauce with whatever protein I feel like that day. Oh and she has kale noodles my favorite. The restaurant is spacious, brightly lit and very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We are big fans of salmon and tuna; both were fresh and tasty. There were unlimited veggies/greens as well as some additional toppings. We had a half salad half kale noodle base with "Full of Joy" sauce combination recommended by the restaurant, which was great. The shell could easily be fixed because you could rinse the egg after you peel. Also, the "chasu" was not good. Like, wrong texture and dry. I'll check back on the reviews to see if things have turned around. I should have known when I came in, by the lack of Asians dining.
