I wish I saw the other person reviews from 6 days ago who also delat with the sngry girl eith glasse ( i assume her name is Joyce bc her name was on the receipt). I took pics of the poke as I was waiting for my friend to tell me what she wanted. I asked the cashier for a sample of the ginger and she gave me one. I then ordered for myself a pound of ginger poke. When I asked the cashier for more time she seemed annoyed, mind you there was only one other person and she was waiting for her friend to call back because she also was doing the same and waiting for a text based upon pictures. The cashier acted annoyed that the both of us were waiting for text before finalizing our order. Meanwhile? I had asked for another sample of the oyster but she curtly told me that there's only one sample per person (this should have been posted). The cashier Joyce was unpleasant in her demeanor and didn't bother to say thank you for your purchase and I had to request for a receipt of the over $40 worth of poe I had just made. Came on a weekday during lunch and there were a few people in line. No one came to take our order for awhile so I was a little confused. A person came up and took like 5 orders at once and made all the bowls. I got the salmon shoyu poke bowl and it was pretty good. The fish had a nice texture but some parts were a little too salty for me. I wish they had more salmon options because I think there was only 2. They had a so many good sounding tuna options tho!! I've been coming here for years, and I must say they are the only one that are very close to authentic Hawaiian style poke. Fresh and delicious. The Kama'aina Plate with lau lau & kalua pork with fresh Ginger Poke. The lau lau is a little salty, but the meat was tender. Kalua Pork was so moist and juicy. The Poke was as close to oyster sauce style as I could get. Mini cubes were nice and fresh. they only had a couple with that white connective tissue. Took a pic of their Musubi lineup but did not buy any. But I've noticed that the service has gone down lately. The poke is always the best. This place is among the top places for poke. I only get poke by the pound, so as a plate I won't know how it would be. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and I haven't had one that was bad. I'm always getting the spicy tuna and that has always been the best one for me. read more

Poke Etc is the spot for fresh poke and they never disappoint. This has been my favorite place since their Cerritos location. There's no seating available at the restaurant, so we had to take everything to go, but it was still just as good. We got the Hawaiian Cali, our all-time favorite, with shoyu salmon and spicy mayo. The shoyu salmon was a little too salty for my liking but still tasty, and the spicy mayo had a really good kick to it. Have to update because of recent experiences. Giving them 3 Stars. Always fresh Poke. This is the bowl almost same as a plate. Love that it's a quick spot for fresh Poke. Customer Service is not out of this world just ok. It's not a sit and dine place. Don't like that they close their doors before posted closing hour of 6pm. By the time I get here after work it will be 5:30-5:45pm and they are CLOSED! This has happened on too many occasions. But I still come back. The spicy mayo poke is my favorite, along with the kimchi tako and the spam musubi. The service is solid -- the people are cool, some are more talkative than others, but always chill. Authentic Hawaiian style poke in the South Bay! I've been here a few times now and I love the poke here. I will say it's not the highest quality ahi (tuna) but the flavors and sauces that it's marinated in are so good! I usually go for the Create Your Own Plate ($13.95) which comes with two scoops of rice, up to two flavors of poke, and a small side of seaweed salad. My favorite flavors are the Spicy Mayo and Ginger. The spicy mayo is the perfect amount of spice and I love the white onions and green onions that are mixed into it. The ginger is also so flavorful and it's nice that they offer it here because it's hard to find on the mainland. It's a small little shop and more of a takeout spot. The service for the poke is quick since they scoop them out of the display fridge. The portions are huge, and you definitely get your money's worth!
