Just when I said I would stop spending money on eating out....I discover Poke Express. The pure joy and anticipation I felt when I read the menu made my heart sing! I've been willing the universe to open a fresh pop-in-joint such as this in the valley for YEARS. I ordered a poke bowl over spinach spring mix with spicy salmon and fresh ahi. My sauces were the spicy mayo and house poke sauce. Toppings were edamame, avocado, green onions, red onions and crunchy onions (dang I guess I like onions). The ingredients were extremely fresh and the bowl was filling. It had the right amount of savory spiciness from the sauces. You could really do the fresh poke and get all the spice you need from the sauces. My one small complaint was that the size "small" is pointless. The scoop size is so tiny (think half of an ice cream scoop) that it almost requires you to go for large (4 scoops) to get a decent poke serving. Nevertheless, I happily paid. It was so good and I literally cannot wait to go back and make this place a part of a lunchtime routine. Also looking forward to trying out their rolled ice cream. Another patron was there eating some and wow. It looked phenomenal. All in all, a fabulous healthy addition to valley food options and I hope more places like this are to come! read more

The store was very clean and the customer service was amazing. Coming from California I was worried that the fish might not be the freshest but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely amazing and all the produce looked fresh as well. I am looking forward to my next visit! read more

Poke was barley ok, tho overpriced, rice wasn't fully cooked, and skimped toppings it filled me up. The ice cream on the other hand, don't waste your time. Did not come out remotely close to the picture. My strawberry ice cream has half a strawberry mixed in, with a slice of kiwi on top. WAY overpriced. read more

Flavor was ok. Expensive for what you get. I'm used to lots of Poke places , pickins are slim in this area. It will do for my poke fix. Employee needs to work on his customer skills, very unfriendly, hard to communicate. As he was scooping our bowl, he was putting the tiniest amounts of each item........would not help us with sauces......had to keep asking what was spicy, what they were. Horrible customer service. You never show yourself yelling at your employees in front of your customers. It looked like the owner (or the manager) worked this afternoon had no idea what the very basic of customer service. The whole time I was in there, I was so embarrassed and felt terribly sorry for the employee who got yelled at by him. Not going back at all. Not recommending here either. read more

Went there to get Rolled Ice cream and it was an awful experience. The young man working was literally pissed we were there. He was rude and very short with us. He was just annoyed that he had to take our order. Wouldn't explain anything. They left out two of the ingredients for my order. My mom pointed out to me there were two huge filets of salmon sitting in the back on a pan, not refrigerated, it was very warm out, I would be afraid to eat the poke with the fish not being refridgerated properly. My family was so uncomfortable with the hostile attitude they ate their ice cream in the parking lot and wouldn't go in and sit down. I love poke bowls but am dissatisfied with the inconsistency of this place. The portions are always different each time I order and the quantity is always different. I've ordered the large many times and the portions may seem smaller than other times. This time I ordered, they put barely any sauce. For the price, it's not worth it. read more

I stopped at Poke Express for lunch. To be fair, I don't eat raw fish. Years ago one of my teaching colleagues showed me sushi under a microscope and I was done. I haven't knowingly eaten raw fish since. I suspect sashimi enthusiasts would find the salmon and ahi bowls quite a value. I had the small chicken bowl that seemed a little pricey at $11.50 out the door. Still, the place was clean, the toppings were fresh and generously supplied. The carrots were too bulky and hard but they were the only thing left when I finished. All of this was served up by an eleven year-old boy with just enough attitude to keep you honest, on your toes and let you know he's going to be somebody. All bowls are cold and definitely worthy of a try for sushi and sashimi tans. read more

The restaurant was cute and had a nice set-up when we walked in. While we were waiting to order, one of the two employees was on the phone for 10 minutes. Another employee came out, served and rung up the person in front of us, then served us. I ordered a milk bubble tea, and when I tried it, I must say I was very disappointed. It was pretty disgusting, waaaaay over the top sweet, and the boba was not great either. I was expecting a higher quality drink and it was definitely under my expectations. I have gotten rolled ice cream as well from here before, and I was very disappointed in it as well. If you come and get bubble tea, I recommend getting it low sugar or no sugar, as I ending up pouring out half the drink because I could not longer stand the sweetness. Absolutely love this place!!!!! I grab a poke bowl to go nearly 3 times a week on my lunch break. I'm so glad they opened close to my work! I have yet to try their ice cream, but it looks pretty good too. Definitely give the poke a try, you will love it! read more

In general, I like this restaurant. The decor is nice. The food genre is a welcome change from others in the area. I feel it is a little spendy for what you get and that the staff is not helpful at all if you've never had Poke (likely due to language barriers), but the flavors are nice and I find myself wanting to eat here fairly regularly because it is something unique for lunch. read more

I am going to be honest and say this was some of the worst poke I have ever had. I go to poke at least once a week. This was the first time I've been to this location and will easily say it will be my last as well. Walking in looking at the toppings bar the avocado was very brown which was an immediate turn off. The girl was obviously new as she told me it would be an extra charge for the toppings I had placed on my poke bowl, after she counted them she realized she made a mistake, no big deal. The irritating part was more of when I told her I had gotten six but she didn't believe me. Either way once I dug into my bowl you could tell the fish had been sitting there for quite some time as it was very fishy. I had a couple of more bites but could not keep eating it. We just moved to the area from where we had a large variety of poke restaurants to choose from and also rolled ice cream. We were so lucky to move into a house just down the street from Poke Express! Everything is so fresh and the employees are wonderful. Don't be afraid to try new things here, unagi (eel) is fantastic and the daikon (yellow radish) is to die for! All of the sauces are flavorful and they give a generous helping. Perfect for a change from typical fast food, go visit! read more

Great Poke !!! My daughter and I ate here on 9-29-19 around 1:00 and we were only surrounded by one single other patron. This place should be busier, they had very fresh fish and eel, great crisp greens and their sauces were extremely flavorful. The only thing I was not impressed with was some of the staff. The person that helped us was not friendly and just seemed like she needed us to hurry and order so she could get back on a phone call she was holding in her hand the entire time. As soon as we finished up, she headed back over into the corner table and continues her Call instead of heading for the back room. We will try it again, but hope they work on their service which will make it a rounded experience. The food was very good. read more

We have been waiting for the Poki revolution here in Spokane and it appears it is slowly arriving. My wife and i stopped in at the Poki Express for lunch the other day and thought that the bowls were fresh and tasty. Perhaps a little too expensive for most for lunch but I'm sure it's not easy or cheap to keep a fresh stock of sashimi grade tuna and salmon here in the inland NW. We got a little spoiled having lived in the SF Bay Area where there are almost as many poki bowl places as McDonalds but for those who have never tried it before I would certainly recommend this place. read more

Been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally had the time to make it in. The food was amazing and everything tasted really fresh. I was very surprised at how big the bowls were for the price as well. I ordered a large bowl with white rice, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, octopus, salmon, yellow radish, scallions, mango, edamame, cucumber, and poke sauce topped with crispy dried onions. Was super excited to try this place. Arrive and barely greeted by a young lady. Right off the bat told her we were first time visitors and needed some help on the products. She had no response and no attempt to explain to us how their selection process works when ordering. After that extremely awkward moment where i asked the young lady what was on a the octopus and she said she had no idea "it comes in a bag. Then the owner lady came in and offered little to no contact nor an attempt to answer questions. She seemed annoyed by our presence. Interestingly enough the place was empty. It appeared to be the owners son was working in the store guessing he was 10 or so, very pleasant and actually thanked us. May consider trying the other franchise in Spokane and hoping it has a different owner. Torn on whether to go with two stars. The taste was good but our bill for two was $35.00 that's a lot for a bowl of rice and two or four micro scoops of fish. read more

The female employee was wearing a Hong Kong Buffet shirt? She was so unfriendly and had the worst attitude. She didn't say hello or anything when we came in. Didn't say thank you when we left. We went in so the ice cream rolls. We love the yummy location downtown. We get there and the girl who is behind the counter is more worried about her co worker being late, not a big deal. The late co worker shows up hair down, her work shirt was tied in a knot with her stomach showing. I don't see her wash her hands only set down her stuff. She makes our order (with gloves on). Her on the other lady were busy talking about how they got drunk last night and there horrible hangovers. We finally get our ice cream 15 min later. There is a long piece of her hair in one of my ice cream rolls. I made the manager aware he offered to remake mine I declined and asked for my money.
