The food and the service are always great here! Everything always feels fresh and tasteful!

Delicious delicious delicious! Tried my first sushi burrito via a takeout order during the work week. I got to build my own, which was perfectly followed. I have a gluten allergy and did not have any issues (I indicated this on the order). If you haven't tried one yet, do it now!

This is my favorite spot to go for poke. All the sushi is super fresh and the workers don't skimp on the portions, even when you order to go! There are endless toppings and you can choose as many as you want. You can also order hot meals other than poke. The wall decorations are full of art that make the space lively. Highly recommend!

We just got takeout here to eat at our hotel and it was perfect, the poke was delicious, the portions were right, and we had 0 complaints!

Loved this place! Very nice staff. I can tell they work hard, cleaning tables as I was eating my bowl. I had just got back from San Diego and I was craving poke and raw tuna. I know michigan won't come close to the coast but this place did the job I was very impressed with the quality of my tuna, next time I will get extra for 2 dollars. Great price too and huge portions. Keep up the good work. I will be back! Too bad I live in Detroit but when in Ann Arbor I'll stop by.

Poke Fish in Ann Arbor is the best poke restaurant in Southeastern Michigan, no contest. This place is packed every day for lunch and takeout orders so the fish is fresher than any other poke place I've been to in the region. I personalize my bowl, typically with ahi tuna, spicy tuna, or salmon with veggies and no sauce. The price is reasonable too at under $13 for most bowls.

I came here today for lunch and got a 3 protein poke bowl with a rice base for $15. I got the marinated salmon, spicy tuna, and scallops. Proteins were fresh and excellent and I loved that there was no limit to the choices of toppings offered, which was also expansive and varied. In particular, I liked that they offered pineapple, tamago, and daikon, which are toppings that I don't always see at poke spots. The rice was also cooked well which is something that often slips through the cracks at poke places since it's not a focus. My only real gripe is that the ordering system doesn't allow for half and half bases (eg half rice half salad) but that's a very small issue. They also sell hibachi bowls and some apps/sides as well as mochi. Overall would definitely come back for my poke fix!

Really good poke bowls! They have options for set bowls and you can also make/customize your own. I always prefer to make my own so I can put exactly what I want in it. Their set bowls are really good too though! Good quality fish, and lots of options for mix ins and toppings. I will say though, I think they are reducing the amount of fish and other toppings they include over time. Overall very filling! I also like their apps and hibachi chicken for leftovers sometimes!

Still a super solid place for a build-a-bowl with good protein and fresh ingredients. My picky Little loves sushi but only salmon and very few veggies. She get double salmon protein, on rice with spring mix and cucumbers. No sauce. This is a lunch I can get behind for a growing Little. Easy to find, super fast. Not bad prices. I love the Tako balls, crab salad and all the bowl options. Very easy online ordering and takeout.

I like coming to Poke Fish for their ramen. It's the one place in Ann Arbor where you can get ramen at a good price. They have had to raise their prices after Covid, but they are much more reasonable than other local spots. To he honest, I'm not the biggest fan of poke, so I have stuck with the ramen and gyoza, which are delicious. When covid hit, they pivoted to take out. They still do a lot of take out business, so they installed kiosks to order if you come inside. The only downside is that they act nonplussed if you need to talk to them. I asked for a take out container, and they seemed quite annoyed.

Ordered a poke bowl for delivery a few weeks ago and it was delish! Brown rice, mango, edamame, seaweed, cucumber, green onions, a generous amount of crispy tempura bits and sesame seeds, and a whole lot of sumptuous, fresh salmon. And I had them douse it with spicy mayo. Perfection! The salmon was so buttery and melt in your mouth. Some of the best sushi grade salmon I've had in the area, for sure. Delivery was quick and easy. I live on the west side of town so it's a bit of a route to my house and it arrived in great condition.

A little bit outside of the main downtown area of Ann Arbor and a couple miles from the University of Michigan, Poke Fish serves quality top tier poke bowls for a very reasonable price. Ordering here is a breeze and very customizable with the 2 automated tablets in the shop. The fish is fresh, the toppings are plentiful and varied, and the portions are excellent for what you pay for. Not to mention, the service is great. Before we could ask, they immediately greeted us and asked if we wanted water cups. Everyone there was all super friendly. The ambience is decent, and since it's tucked away in a shopping mall, it is on the quieter side. Overall, the best poke bowls you can get in the area.

I order a chicken hibatchi, went there for pickup and also got a yum yum sauce. It tasted like a Dry left over chicken and the fried rice sucked too. You can't eat it without sipping on a drink. Avoid.

Hi Alekhya, we do offer vegetable ramen which is served in a miso broth. Although this option isn’t visible on the menu, you are more than welcome to call or walk in to place the order. Hope to see you soon!

The quality of the food is still amazing and worth a visit, but there were some items I wish stayed on the menu. For example, the spicy salmon crispy rice is no longer available and only available in the tuna form. The portions are also smaller, now coming in three small bites rather than the two big bites from before. The gochujang rigatoni and kimchi paella are also unavailable. Some new dishes I tried and loved were the short rib and the grilled octopus. The octopus was incredibly tender and I couldn't stop eating it! It also comes with delicious potatoes. The short rib was a larger portion and also tasted delicious. The rest of my table ordered the miso cod. The miso cod was delicious, but the portion was quite small and arguably not worth its price compared to the short rib. Cocktails that I recommend are The Gatsby and The Promised Neverland if you like sweeter drinks! For the service, we felt a bit rushed as we were dining. Normally the drinks come out followed by the appetizers, but our appetizers came first and the drinks came with our mains. I think there was a missed opportunity to sip on our drinks and chat with our party as we enjoyed the restaurant's ambience. Otherwise, the food came quickly and was well served.

It was restaurant weekend in downtown Ann Arbor and we didn't have a reservation, so we obliged, although the space was pretty empty. Once we got to the bar, the young waitress slammed menus down in front of us and acted extremely annoyed by our presence. After bothering us every minute for the next 5 minutes to order, me and my friend put in our orders in haste. We then waited for 30 minutes for our meals to arrive. I got the "Amazing Shrimp" sushi roll and my friend got the "Grilled Angus Short Rib". As noted on the menu it comes with Mashed Potatoes, Shishito Peppers, and Garlic Chives. Per my friend's request, the order did not come with the Shishito Peppers or Garlic Chives, but it also didn't have the potatoes. After asking for the potatoes, our server went back and we could hear her yelling at the kitchen staff. Minutes later she came out with a bowl of 3 potatoes, not mashed and not hot. My roll was great and I'd definitely order again if I come back, but I'm honestly not too inclined to after this experience. Lastly, the restaurant itself was freezing. It was a cold day but it was way colder inside than it should've been. We ended up keeping our coats on for most of dinner. I really do want to like it here because the vibe seemed very modern and clean, however the service, food, and level of professionalism fell short of my expectations.

There have been some hit-or-misses with the quality of the fish but, I'm Japanese and, for me, "Japanese cuisine" is a lot more than raw fish and their kitchen (as opposed to the sushi bar) has always been reliable. Not so much anymore. :( I had dinner there recently on a Friday night. Ordered the tempura appetizer and 8-9 pieces of sushi a la carte. I asked the waitperson to make sure there was grated daikon for the tempura (I've had to ask before and the tempura was cold by the time they brought it, so I was planning ahead...) I was informed that not only do they not serve it with tempura, there's simply no daikon anywhere in the restaurant to grate. Seriously? First, how does a Japanese restaurant not have any daikon?? Second, if you serve tempura, this is a necessary condiment; it's akin to not having ketchup for a burger. I opted to have fried oysters instead and they were fine. The nigiri sushi I was served *looked* beautiful. Huge pieces of fish, nicely arranged. I'm not sure why Japanese restaurants here think "bigger is better" when it comes to sushi. Nigiri sushi is intended to be eaten in ONE comfortable bite instead of having to try to bite it in half only to have it disintegrate awkwardly all over the table. Why not offer two nigiri pieces per order that's reasonably (and correctly) sized? And then there's the sushi rice. I'm not convinced that the sushi chefs there understand that what makes it "sushi" isn't the fish (or the fancy rolls) -- it's the rice. Sushi rice is supposed to be flavored, while it's steaming hot, with a sugar-vinegar-salt mixture ("sushi su"), which is what keeps the rice moist and sticky in order to keep its shape, and also provide a foil for the fish. Whenever a sushi piece falls apart, it usually means (other than the fact that it's too big) that it's not properly seasoned. It should also never be cold. My simple meal plus a serving of sake, with tip came to almost $100. That's not unreasonably high for a Japanese sushi meal but I think I should be able to count on it being made correctly.

I saw so many people posting about this place on Insta and decided to come out and see if it was worth the hype. It was very worth the hype, the food was absolutely delicious! Due to wanting to try everything, as always, I ordered tons and way too much and ended up with several boxes, bags, and meals. I had a couple drinks, I think they were the x-rated passion and the pear sakitini. They were good, very floral. We started with their soup and salad, which were standard and good. We had so much salad, I did box it up for a couple more meals. Then we tried the crispy chicken buns. They were so good. Since I had so much to eat, we each got one, and it took me two days to finish mine. The chicken was crispy, and I like how the bun was fluffy but also a bit crispy on the outside. We also tried their iconic tuna nachos. The chips were really good. I would have loved a wanton chip instead, as other places do it, but the tuna was so buttery. It was almost as good as the tuna in Hawaii and French Polynesia. I liked to roe and avocado, which was also so creamy. We had a couple sushi rolls. We got the spider roll. It was so crispy and very well make, and the California roll with the kani salad and avocado, no cucumber, which perfect since child hates cucumbers and normally picks them out. It was very fresh and delicious. We also tried their wagyu burger and fries. I personally cannot tell the difference between types of beef, but it was an extremely flavorful, well-cooked burger. We split it in three, and it took a few days to finish my portion. The real star from that meal was the tempura French fries, they were so good and crispy, and very unique. Those are really a must order. We also tried the teriyaki chicken and broccoli. We recently had some very mediocre teriyaki chicken, and I was afraid it was going to taste like that looking at the dish, but it was not. It was so well cooked and flavorful and so was the veg, don't judge a meal on it's looks. It was worth ordering again. But the real, real reason why I was here was for their famous flying lobster noodles. That was really worth the drive. Their noodles were smokey and flavorful, and a large portion it took several meals and three people to finish it. I liked the addition of shrimp with the lobster and it was not fishy, so those of us who do not eat fish could still enjoy the noodles. That is something I would order every time. Funny, I did not realize both of their children were on Food Network, but I did watch those shows at the time. I hear the noodles were in honor of the daughter's show, so thanks for allowing us to taste your amazing looking dish. On the other hand, the service was really only fair. I read other reviews and while the servers were good, they did not really seem to want to engage with us verbally or talk to us. They were very lukewarm at best, even though the rest of their service was great. They were attentive, but not friendly. I do want to come back and order it all over again and then some, so I hope to return soon. This was a really fun place.
