    Beef Pho
    Linda I.

Approachable Vietnamese semi-fusion-y spot with a varied menu that feels like there's something for everyone! I noticed a good selection of vegan options as well. Better pricing and vibes than the previous Taste Kitchen for more people, I think. They have a pho special where if you order a pho, you can get a second pho to go for 40% off. Kind of a no brainer. - Beef pho was good! Nice broth. The meat and noodles were not the best I've had in Ann Arbor though. - Shaking beef was delicious. Highly recommend. Doesn't look like there's a ton of beef, but it felt like we kept finding pieces and it was good for sharing. - Vegan Laksa was very tasty! Came out not super warm though, would've liked this to be hot - Mushroom dumplings are DELICIOUS. Highly recommend this one as well. - Meatball bahn mi was fun! I've never had a bahn mi quite like this before, but I did enjoy. The bread was good. - Tofu summer rolls (not pictured) were light with a very nice sauce as well! Highly recommend going in a group so you can try a little of a lot of things! I will definitely be back.

Tuesday special 1/2 pho and 1/2 banh mi
    Dia D.

They now have a Tuesday Special of half of a bowl of pho and half of a banh mi. I liked the idea and it was tasty, but I wish that the pho had had some noodles and bean sprouts to make the combo lunch more filling.

I tried the vegan laksa, shaking beef, and pho. Very average food that is pretty expensive. I did not dislike any of the dishes, but would not choose to come back. They had a selection of mocktails, I tried the non alcoholic negroni and I did not enjoy it at all - would not recommend.

When I asked her how I can leave a tip (because there was no option to), she explained that this is a self-serve place, so tip is not needed. The stores at the airport even asks for tip, so I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated the notion. I ordered their pho dac biet. I was asked if I wanted a lot of noodles or not. I was taken aback by the question, so I told her just the normal amount is fine. She then shares that their portion is not big which is what she asks all her customers when they order pho. The bowl was quite sad looking, lacked green onions, cilantro, meats, and no kidding on the noodles. The broth was clean but lacked that beefy richness. The herbs were fresh and they offered jalapeno slices and a line wedge unlike the place I went to on Sunday. But for the price, I could not expect more.

It was a long day with meetings lasting 5 hours of my day, so I was ready to decompress with a bowl of pho. I can eat meat again on Monday, 12/28 so currently I am abiding the 49 days of not eating meat to honor and to help my uncle. I was the only one there, parking wasn't an issue, and food came out relatively quick. I ordered their vegetarian pho (pho chay). The mint and bean sprouts helped meld the flavors together, but I wish I can taste the charred ginger and star anise. I am from San Jose, CA so my standards are pretty high. The herbs were fresh and the broth was very hot which helped warm me up and comforted me as I am recovering from the flu and from the time difference.

We came here on a search from a horrible asian restaurant, PF Changs. We sat at the table without being acknowledged by anyone, no water, no "I'll be right with you," nothing for over 15 minutes. I used the dead time and searched out other asian restaurants and came across this one and we decided to give it a shot, we are so glad we did. We were greeted and shown to a table immediately, received water and menus within a minute, then they even brought out extra menus with photos; you always wonder if the ordered food looks like the photos, it was better! My wife ordered the chicken lo mein and it was incredible; she was thankful that she is a light eater, but even so, she got four meals out of it. I ordered the chicken pho and it was enormous, so much so, that they serve it with a ladle and offer smaller bowls to serve it into. The pho was full of flavor, had plenty of chicken and the incredible noodles along with all the additives you can put in if you choose. We are minimum of once a month in Ann Arbor, and this is now our go to spot. We simply can not recommend it enough!

IMHO, this is pretty good Asian cuisine but not nearly the best in Ann Arbor. My Bulgogi Beef was very satisfying, the girls both got ramen bowls that they enjoyed. The service was less than impressive. One check on us, not even topping off the water visits and not really speaking to us at all. Disappointing. I think that's a fluke and want to return and add stars. It's fine if you're looking for an informal sit-down at an inexpensive price. I wouldn't bring someone here that you want to impress. 08/25

My top order is a hojicha latte with grass jelly or regular boba. Also love a jasmine milk tea with coconut and strawberry jellies. Also a fan of the dragon fruit sparkling tea drink! This is quality stuff, folks!! Due to this I think it's a bit pricier than Coco and the other boba places around town. They've started offering onigiri recently which is awesome. I find them to be quite authentic. A lovely quick snack. Their macarons are also a nice treat! Very nice staff, HUGE menu with tons of options, pretty quick service unless it's busy. Eggs were perfectly runny for the rancheros and folded egg omelet was not dry on the sandwich. Crispy tortillas on the rancheros and house made chorizo was flavorful and not greasy.
