Tuesday special 1/2 pho and 1/2 banh mi
    Dia D.

They now have a Tuesday Special of half of a bowl of pho and half of a banh mi. I liked the idea and it was tasty, but I wish that the pho had had some noodles and bean sprouts to make the combo lunch more filling.

Tuesday special 1/2 beef pho 1/2 pork belly/pate Bahn mi.

Came here for lunch on Tuesday. Located in what I believe used to be the taste kitchen. As you enter the host/waiter allows you to sit wherever you like. All ordering is done via digital menu on your phone you can either place an order via phone to the kitchen and start a tab if you plan on ordering more items or more cocktails or you can settle the tab immediately. There was only one server in the restaurant so ordering by phone is quite important for efficiency in this restaurant. I would imagine many restaurants will adopt this strategy to cut down on costs. A pitcher of water is brought to every table by the server, and your meal after you have placed your order by phone. I settled my tab immediately as was not planning to order anymore food. You can hold off until after the meal and run a tab to ensure the service is good before tipping. With this style of ordering interaction with the server is minimal. Our small plate pork belly and shrimp summer roll does elevate the summer roll. Dipping sauces were very good everything was really fresh. My vegan laska soup was amazing the broth is absolutely addicting, I love the amount of mushrooms they add along with their firm tofu. My wife had the Tuesday special 1/2 beef pho 1/2 pork belly-pate Bahn mi. Tasting her pho it was good but not blow you away amazing for the price they charge for a full serving. The Bahn mi is taken to another level, the bread they use is the best tasting bread in town for Bahn mi. The pate with pork belly is great combination works well together. The table includes bottles of siracha and hoisin sauce. Interestingly my wife and I were planning on going next door for an after meal tea/coffee to Block & brew cafe. Only to find out it is connected to the restaurant probably owned by the same owner. Why not add all the drinks from Block & brew cafe to the restaurant I was craving more of a bubble tea since I do not drink would have been nice with the meal. A nice little spot just be prepared to spend more than your typical Vietnamese restaurant.

I tried the vegan laksa, shaking beef, and pho. Very average food that is pretty expensive. I did not dislike any of the dishes, but would not choose to come back. They had a selection of mocktails, I tried the non alcoholic negroni and I did not enjoy it at all - would not recommend.

I discovered this gem, recently opened, with wonderful pho, and so many other enticing dishes that I will definitely be back.

IMHO, this is pretty good Asian cuisine but not nearly the best in Ann Arbor. My Bulgogi Beef was very satisfying, the girls both got ramen bowls that they enjoyed. The service was less than impressive. One check on us, not even topping off the water visits and not really speaking to us at all. Disappointing. I think that's a fluke and want to return and add stars. It's fine if you're looking for an informal sit-down at an inexpensive price. I wouldn't bring someone here that you want to impress. 08/25

But we honestly could have split my ramen and we would have been just as full. Server was very honest about vegetarian/vegan options. That being said, there is only 1 vegan safe option (miso ramen) on the entire menu, so although it was tasty, this place is not the most vegetarian/vegan safe option. Flavor wise, the food delivered! Very warming meal and overall very tasty!! We were seating almost immediately, and served just as quickly by very accommodating staff. Decor is cute!

I came back today and asked the owner about it. The band is from WCC and they sometimes come to play as ambiance music (it def sounded good)! So now I know customers are welcome during that time. I ordered the Black Sugar Boba Milk Tea and it was delicious!! More importantly, the boba was made well and is chewy and delicious! They use whole milk. Their price is also great at $5 for a small! I am definitely coming back! They have a nice atmosphere inside with lots of seating and pretty blossom wall decoration. The owner was very friendly and my drink was made in a timely manner.

My top order is a hojicha latte with grass jelly or regular boba. Also love a jasmine milk tea with coconut and strawberry jellies. Also a fan of the dragon fruit sparkling tea drink! They accommodate the sweetness and ice options here, which I always appreciate. Their teas taste fresh and not like they are from a basic powder blend like at a lot of places. This is quality stuff, folks!! Due to this I think it's a bit pricier than Coco and the other boba places around town. They've started offering onigiri recently which is awesome. I find them to be quite authentic. A lovely quick snack. Their macarons are also a nice treat! Very nice staff, HUGE menu with tons of options, pretty quick service unless it's busy. You get used to navigating the awful parking lot eventually...

Now the setup is that you walk up to the counter to order then they direct you to a table (inside or out, your preference) and bring you what you've ordered. You can also order to go. The food was super quick and delicious. We ordered the huevos rancheros with chorizo and ham & egg breakfast sandwich. Both were exceptionally well seasoned with lots of flavor. Eggs were perfectly runny for the rancheros and folded egg omelet was not dry on the sandwich. Crispy tortillas on the rancheros and house made chorizo was flavorful and not greasy. I'd say that this dish was not very spicy at all, I had to add cholula hot sauce which was conveniently on the table already. They have a bathroom in the basement, which you have to get through the kitchen. So, not accessible for all but it does have a diaper changing station available for the littles. Lots of seating choices: communal table, small tables, and window counter height seating plus outside tables in the back. Overall, will be back again with the kids since there were lots of families with smaller kids here so very family friendly.

Inside has about 4 stairs). We ordered the Corned Beef Hash, Breakfast Burrito, and Honey Cinnamon latte. We wanted to order more but it would be too much so instead we will return! The staff are very friendly and nice. The outside has umbrellas so it's perfect for rainy and sunny weather. The corned beef hash was delicious! It had some crispyness and great flavor! The breakfast burrito was also delicious and not too big but very filling! The honey cinnamon latte was very tasty too. Nothing disappointed! Parking is only hard but we managed to find a spot not too far away.
