We didn't have a great experience this past Sunday and sent the store a private message sharing the issues we had. After many attempts from the owner to contact us, we finally got a chance to speak. He was very sincere, humble, and apologetic and didn't try to make any excuses. They had hired some new staff and those employees needed further training. It was a one-off and every restaurant has bad days. The efforts of the owner to right the wrong, even offering to drive the new bowls over to us personally, was above and beyond! We thanked him and said it wasn't necessary. He wanted us to try his place again this time to see what his bowls are REALLY like. I get that consistency is key, but sometimes you don't have control of your new hires and people can make mistakes. No one is perfect, but how you handle problems and present resolutions are signs of a successful business owner. Kudos to Jay for his professionalism and thoughtfulness. I would like to recommend Poke Jay and say that if you ever have a problem or aren't satisfied with your food, just know that Jay will do everything in his power to make it right!! 4 1/2 stars. I had high expectations for this tiny little poke place in the strip mall right across from Mizner a solid 5 star Yelp review. Fortunately, Poke Jay lived up to expectations. The bowl suggestions such as Tunado and Hurricane looked really interesting but 15 year old and ii went custom. All of the fish was super fresh with generous portions. Note there was no pre-made spicy tuna or salmon. I was happy to see yellowtail as an option, which I do not usually see at other places. There is a dollar charge for avocado, seaweed salad, or mango. Otherwise there are about twenty types of gratis toppings to choose from. Our server mixed most of the toppings together in the sauce before placing in the bowl. As my base I ordered half spring mix and half Thai Berry Brown Rice. The rice was especially tasty. Our server (not sure if it was Jay) was super friendly and put the utmost care into making our bowls. He gave us plenty of sauce on the side. We ate at one of the two small tables outside. For two bowls with three drinks with gratuity our bill was over $50. A little steep for a poke dinner for two, but we would return. read more

We came in and were the only people frequently the restaurant, which was a good thing because it's tiny and seating is minimal. The girl who was working (I don't remember her name unfortunately) was so kind and helped me with my order. I got the Tunado with white rice and spicy mayo and it was delicious! The tuna tasted great, everything was fresh, the portion was great for the price point, and I didn't feel over stuffed and gross after finishing the bowl. It is a small spot, so I'd imagine it gets quite packed during lunch rush especially being in Mizner but I had no issue with seating. All in all a great spot at a great price point!!
