I ordered edamame, green salad and the Venice roll. It was ready about 10 minutes after placing the order. Service was very quick! The fact they even offered a "healthy" sushi roll without rice made me so incredibly happy! I eat extremely clean on a daily basis (fruits, vegetables, Whole Foods) so when I eat out, I like to make clean choices. It was essentially spicy tuna wrapped in cucumber. Edamame tasted great, super fresh. I love that the salad came with 2 ginger dressings. Overall, wonderful fresh food. I will dine in next time! read more

Amazing place. Very underrated. This is the best sushi place in all of Boca in my opinion. We eat here all the time and it's easily our favorite spot. Tonight we stopped in I got a wide variety of dishes including the beef udon and vegetables (which was delicious), the hamachi jalapeno appetizer, the spicy tuna rolls, the salmon skin rolls, the Yokohama sashimi - which is lightly seared tuna steak with a very delicious special sauce, and finally the tuna tataki. Everything is absolutely fantastic, the rolls are so fresh they are an absolute delight. My favorite of the evening was the hamachi jalapeno app, the fish was delectable, so buttery and delicious. It was my first time trying it and I'm definitely getting it next time I stop by. I also want to give special mention to the servers who are always friendly and on point. You really can't go wrong in this place they always deliver a fantastic meal. Still 5 stars for me. I was heading home from work today and wanting to grab something along the way, decided to take out sushi from Yokohama in Boca Raton! For my order to go, I ordered 1x spicy rainbow roll, 1x zurich roll, 1x volcano roll, 1x ginger salad, and 1x miso soup. Going into my review, believe it or not, but everything was awesome! The sushi had fresh savory fish, nice contrasting flavors, and was unbelievable deal (the entire meal was around $40 bucks which for 3 rolls, salad, and soup is almost unheard of in this economy!). The ginger salad came with our meal since it was above $30 and had fresh greens, and that sweet tangy ginger dressing! The miso soup had a nice rich dashi based stock and was refreshing! Overall, I was highly satisfied with the quality and quantity with Yokohama. And for these reasons, I feel my final verdict is a 5/5! read more

It was very flavorful with scallions and tofu sitting in a slightly cloudy miso broth. We were all happy. Next was Gyoza you could tell were fresh made. Spicy Tuna Roll did not disappoint One item I was not happy with was the Spider Roll. I've had it here before but it missed the mark. To finish we had Tempura Bananas with ice cream. The coating on the bananas was just right texture and really hit the spot with cold vanilla ice cream. We split this dessert and there was plenty for two. Yokohama is a small restaurant in a popular strip mall. We must have driven past there hundreds of times without stopping. We met our friends at the restaurant. Even though it was small inside, it wasn't crowded. We sat at a long table in the middle of the room. The menu listed a lot of sushi. I like to eat sushi, but my knowledge about it is pretty limited. My friends eat there often and helped us decide what to order. We got an order of edamame for the table. Next we ordered two sushi rolls. One was similar to a California roll, the other was a crunchy salmon roll. Both were delicious. I could have ordered more sushi but I wanted to try a different dish. I got stir fried chicken with udon noodles. A large serving that I enjoyed. The noodles were perfectly cooked. Clyde got the fried rice which was very flavorful. Our entrees came with a choice of salad or miso soup. I got the salad which was a large serving of greens with a flavorful ginger dressing. Clyde liked his miso soup. For dessert we shared the fried cheesecake. It came with a scoop of ice cream and a topping Everyone at the table loved it but I thought it was just okay. I think the cheesecake was lost in all the other ingredients. Service was excellent. Our server was very nice, and patient when I asked a lot of questions about the food. My wife, Diane had the Stir fried Chicken with Udon Noodles, equally delicious! For Dessert, we split the deep fried cheesecake with ice cream and chocolate sauce--wonderful!! Yokohama is a small restaurant with only a few wooden tables and chairs. It is very unassuming and charming. The service was very fast and efficient. Well... I really wanted to like this place. However I felt slightly insulted. They say a portion of the menu is 50% off. Well the 'normal' price for a Spicy Tuna Roll is $13 on the menu? Ok, listen... even at the most exquisite(this place is far from exquisite or luxury) sushi setting I've never paid above $11 for that Roll. So they inflate the listed price so you can think you're getting a deal. Then a Spicy Crab Roll normally goes for $14, lol. Are we being serious here? Come on folks, let's be serious. The sushi quality is 'ok' but nothing to write home about. I honestly would re-do the menu to not insult the intelligence of patrons. Anyone who has eaten sushi before knows clearly without any doubt those rolls are not half price. My suggestion would be to charge regular price for those rolls, let's say a Spicy Tuna Roll for $7 but have a happy hour for where people can get the Roll for $5.50 or something. Now that's a deal. Also look at presentation and what other super successful competitors are doing as you want to move forward with the current times of innovating. read more

I ordered delivery. Won't do it again from here. When the food was delivered I got a call to give the code to my gate 3 times. The driver was late. I ordered three things gyoza, hamachi roll, and softshell crab roll. My order came without the softshell crab roll. I called to explain there was a mistake. I had to talk with four people before they sent out the roll that they forgot to include. The worst part was that an hour and a half later I get an AGRESSIVE call from someone at the restaurant saying I was wrong and it was impossible they made a mistake. Mistakes happen. Calling a customer and yelling at them is NOT OK. The hamachi roll was ok. The gyoza were small and not hot. The customer service was terrible. I will not order from here again. There are much better restaurants for sushi close by. read more

I will admit, the sushi is not the freshest, best sushi in Florida, but it's worth it for the cheap price. I really like the seaweed salad and miso soup. As for sushi, I love the spicy girl roll, spicy tuna roll, alligator roll, and boca raton roll. My favorite thing here is the fried rice. It's so tasty and always comes out piping hot. Good sushi for a great price! It isn't the highest quality, but it's really good for the price. Unless you are an avid sushi goer and really know your sushi, you wouldn't know the difference. It's a small place so don't expect to come with a large party and sit together. They could probably fit a total of 25 people. I love trying new places.... so when suggested to go to Yokohama for dinner, I was all for it!! But it really was nothing to write home about. Here's the disclaimer. There are 2 locations. I went to the west Boca location. Apparently the one out in East Boca is better. But back to this location. Its a small restaurant.... tucked between other stores. Blink and you might miss it. We had a group of 7 and they were very accommodating, especially since we were definitely one of those loud, obnoxious groups that laugh, do sake bombs.... oh you have seen them before. (What can I say... we were catching up after not seeing each other for years). Their menu is pretty big... but they have a 1/2 off menu which is basically their menu but all half off. I ordered the angry tuna roll and a beer. If you order 3 beers, you get a free sake. Do you see where the sake bomb came from. Oh yes, and I also got a seaweed salad. Seaweed salad is where its at. Super delicious and fresh. Then my sushi came around... eh. It was good... but again, nothing to write home about. It was deep fried, which I guess I didn't see when I ordered it. It was ok. I've had better. The service was fine, everyone was super nice. Prices were decent. I just felt as though I've had better sushi. But don't take my word for it. This is another place I have been going to since I was a kid. While the ownership has changed hands several times, not much else has. It is still small and quaintly located in the corner of a pretty quiet shopping plaza. There are just a few tables and a bar, though the dining options are plentiful. In recent times, there is a young manager who is extremely friendly, accommodating and from what I can tell, keeps things running efficiently and pleasantly. However, there are a few downers. For one, I ordered a spicy octopus appetizer dish (something I order from every sushi restaurant) and it was incredibly smaller than the one I typically order from sushi hashi, which is about the same price (if not slightly less) but with probably twice the amount, if not more. Then, the $6 cup of soup I ordered was also disappointing, as it had this fishy taste to it, something Ive never experienced while eating sushi, like fishy as in fish market fish, not clean and fresh. it also leaked in the takeout bag. The miso soup was very very low on tofu and seaweed, which is so off-putting since its tofu and seaweed, were not talking about lobster chowder. All in all, I'd say its worth going to, but, and this is true of many sushi places in my experience, the quality definitely noticeably suffers when it comes to takeout. read more

This place has really gone down hill. The sushi rolls are small and the sushi does not taste very fresh. Anything that we had fried was clearly fried in old fry oil and tasted as such. They nickle and dime charge for things that are not additional at other sushi places. The Sushi chef was wiping his nose and touching the fish, no gloves. Gross! They have a "half Price" menu which is just rolls at double the normal price with a half off special. We have so many friendly clean delicious sushi places around, I highly suggest you chose one of them instead. read more
