Kokoro is a Japanese word for heart and they touched my heart with a delicious lunch special of 9 pieces of Sashimi and a California roll! A welcoming interior and fast friendly service enhanced our lunch experience here today! A great stop!

Great service, great ambience. We are so lucky to have a place like this just around the corner. The menu is very extensive! Last night we tried the age dashi tofu, chicken karage, spider roll, bbq eel and chicken Katsu. All wear delicious. Although we were used to having the chicken karage with Chinese five spice but lemon was a nice change- but it would've been nicer if the dish had more flavor. We will definitely go back again. The menu is so extensive so we're very excited to try more things.

This is the new Boca outpost of Masamune in Deerfield Beach. The food is outstanding and the vibe is old school Japanese Izakaya. Service is always on point. There are a lot of sushi restaurants in South Florida, but not a lot of good ones. This is a great one!

We went for their grand opening and everything was delicious! We got a toro crunch roll, US 1 dynamite roll, and 2 pieces of nigiri - all was yummy. We also tried their octopus wasabi and it was such an interesting dish, well marinated in wasabi - sure to clear your sinuses Banana tempura for dessert was also 5 stars. We'll be back

Food was pretty solid. The interior is cute and nice clean, but while servers were very nice not very attentive sat waiting for bill for over 20 min, had to ask for every water or drink. Wanted to like it more but we didn't even go when it was full and still service wasn't there. Realistically 3.5 but the food was good so rounding up

Great little place tucked in the corner of the plaza. Tapas sized portion which is what I was looking for. In terms of food quality, the fish is fresh and appetizers is definitely made to order. Service was acceptable. Hopefully this place will stay a scratch kitchen forever onward.

We each had two bites and politely advised that we didn't care for the food. Their response was, "That's how it's supposed to come."

This is considered Palm Beach County's best Japanese Omakase restaurant; Omakase translates to "…read moreI'll leave it up to you". We left a credit card deposit for half of our meal and made reservations weeks in advance. Taki Omakase's curated 18-course chef's choice menu offers traditional Japanese nigiri and cutting-edge, innovative seafood & wagyu dishes. The seafood is flown here directly from Japan using specialized torch-searing and Binchotan charcoal grilling, some dishes finished with the opulence of genuine gold flakes. The menu celebrates bold flavors and exotic textures, featuring luxurious accents such as truffle, foie gras, yuzu, and plum. We found street parking in front & opened the nondescript door with Japanese characters. We had one of the 12 seats at tonights only seating. We chose the Delray location which is more modern than the traditional Omakase at the Mizner Park, Boca Raton restaurant . I appreciated the opportunity to engage with Patrick our Michellen star chef while watching him prepare each course with precision & love. We started by sharing Tatenyan Kitty sake that was light of fragrant with a gentle, sweetness and dry finish that was well balanced. I enjoyed watching Patrick prepare each dish some torched, with gold dust, charcoal, and minut details with tweezers. Patrick told us about each course & the ingredients contained. He gave us the Japanese name of each fish as well as the American translation. Every piece of fish was buttery, interesting & exceptional. I ate & ate for almost 2 hours salads, wagu, toro, sea urchin, miso... for dessert we had a refreshing lemon sorbet topped with a baby peach.

My favorite was the Miso cod and Wagyu steak. There's nigiri pieces, a hand roll and a nice sorbet to end the night. Besides uni, my highlights were the sea bream and mackerel. I also requested hot water with lemon and it came in a pot with a tea candle, very well presented! I was impressed. Our dining sets were cleared very efficiently. Wish the servers would be more friendly and smiled more though. What left a bad impression was the server was in such a rush to check out our group, she ran my card twice and then said she refunded and ran my husband's card once but upon checking my CC statement, nothing was refunded so we were charged 3 times for 2 people. When I called to clarify, she said there's nothing she could do as everything on their end was correct and I needed to contact my bank. After much turmoil back and forth, she was able to find the mistake (she refunded the wrong guest) and finally corrected it. Frustrating experience.

Wagyu Nigiri melted in the mouth. Sunset Salmon roll had lemon on top and I was iffy about it when ordering but oh my god it made an amazing pairing with the salmon and made the roll so much better. Lobster monster was craaazy, did not expect anything like this to come. The presentation was super nice and the amount of lobster in it was shocking! Our server Suzie was super nice, very timely with everything and made it an amazing night. Thank you especially to her!

This review is strictly based upon our lunch delivery via Uber Eats…read more I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bento Box. The Korean style beef was okay, but I needed to add eel sauce for some extra flavor. The 1/2 California Roll, gyoza and side salad with ginger dressing were fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the sushi roll the most. My two coworkers both ordered different types of sushi rolls. One had fish and the other was a sweet potato roll. The restaurant packed both of the rolls in the same box, which resulted in a mess, as the sauce on one roll got mixed in with the other roll. Again, this was take-out, so I am sure we would have had a different experience if we ate in the restaurant. I would like to try this restaurant again. Next time will be a dine-in meal instead of take-out.

Our server was great, knew the menu well, gave solid recommendations, and was very helpful throughout the night. We ordered the salmon tataki, tuna tacos, rock shrimp, the messy roll, and the baked crab and spinach salad (not all pictured). Everything was good and came out nicely prepared. Would we rush back? Probably not necessarily, but we'd definitely come again with a group of friends who haven't tried it before. Overall, a solid spot with good service and good food

I've had the truffle bombs before and loved them, but this time they were off. The toro (tuna belly) was just meh--lacking the richness and flavor you'd expect. The Wagyu was ordered medium rare but came out closer to medium and was overwhelmingly salty. The halibut was probably the best dish of the night, but the portion was shockingly small--maybe 3 oz at best. The Japanese mushrooms were so salty they were essentially inedible. Even the espressos arrived lukewarm. Both the mushrooms and espressos were comp'd--a $15 adjustment--which felt insignificant given the overall experience. The only real highlights were the drinks: a Caymus Sauvignon Blanc that was excellent, along with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and Frangelico. After spending $850 (including tip) for three people, this experience was a major disappointment. Sadly, we won't be returning.
