I love a good poke bowl spot! Besides this being probably the cleanest poke bowl place I've been to, the fish was super fresh and portions were a good size. I usually always order the spicy tuna with pretty much every topping possible. Sauces were very flavorful but not too overpowering. Staff is also very friendly! read more

I went in a couple nights ago and I just have to say this place is amazing !! I've been coming here for quite sometime and it's always been a very quiet and lowkey place. I started noticing a new vibe to the place and when I went in a couple nights ago there was a new TV and new paint on all the walls. The aesthetic is very nice now and the place is more lively than ever. Also I have to the say the service here has always been amazing. I've never have had any problems with anyone serving me here. I just want to say thank you to the Christian, who served me that night and was very helpful. He told me about the new owner and the new plans for the place. Very exciting new ! Was so excited to try this place cuz they have my favorite fish - yellowtail! The staff was very nice and helpful! I got my usual plain bowl and my husband got toppings. They are quite generous here. We both got the yuzu ponzu & spicy mayo - nice because that is gluten free for my husband! The one tiny thing that prevents me from a full 5* is that the rice is too hot. I'm always afraid hot rice will cook my fish if i'm taking it to go! I like a lukewarm rice. But i'm just one customer and you have to appeal to everyone so the majority might like it that way. Ok I usually like this place, but the last couple of orders have been so off I just don't think it's an accident anymore. Spicy regular tuna mixed in the Ahi tuna is not ok. You can clearly taste the difference. I know spicy tuna is the rage but not everyone is oblivious to the difference in quality of tuna. Lemon juice doesn't hide the difference. Overall the place is great. This has been the 3rd weird tuna order of many. One more and I'll consider a different place. read more

I have 2 important requirements for any Poke place. 1) The fish has to be fresh. 2) The place has to be clean. If you don't have these things, you'll more than likely end up sick. Thankfully, Poke Rainbow is both very clean inside and the fish is fresh. I did take a point away because the Avocado was pretty brown and while it wasn't rotten, it does not look good on the food. I would recommend going in or calling your order in as the grub hub app frequently says menu items are "unavailable" when they aren't. While this is my go to poke spot in Whittier, taking off a star for customer service. Young girl with metal round glasses acts as if you are invisible and does not acknowledge anyone upon arriving. Have you ever wanted to say "taste the rainbow", and not talk about Skittles? I do not know what silliness that I am writing about. Guess I just always wanted to mention taste the rainbow in one of my reviews. Now it is done! Lol! Anyways, the 5 of us were all craving poke. I volunteered to pick us up poke bowls. After browsing Yelp, we decided to give Poke Rainbow a try. Everyone looked up their menu online, and their orders were written up for me to bring to the restaurant. The shop was easy to find. Walked into the place, and there was no one around. At that time, there was still no dining inside allowed due to the covid pandemic. The young lady who assisted me was good. I read off my list, and I told her what each person wanted. The order was perfect! They have plenty of options on how you want your Poke bowl customized to your own personal taste. Everything looked fresh, clean, and orderly. Most importantly, everyone in our party of five was pleased with their orders. My wife and I could not finish our orders that evening. So we got to enjoy the leftovers the next day. Glad to have Poke Rainbow pretty close to my in-laws place. Good food with nice portions at a fair price! read more
