We were craving Hawaiian food yesterday, so we went to Aloha Food Factory around 1-ish. We ordered the macadamia nut pancakes (2 pcs, $8.99), one Spam Musubi (4 pcs, $5.99), one Kalua Pig Bowl ($9.99), and one Plate Lunch with one entrée ($13.99). I picked the Lau Lau for an extra $1.99. We were told that the pancakes would take a while, maybe around 30 minutes, but my daughters still wanted them because they order them every time we visit. I originally thought only the pancakes would take longer, but all of our food took quite a while. The Spam Musubi finally arrived around 1:35 PM, the plate lunch came about 10 minutes later, and the pancakes were finally served at 1:50 PM. By then, we were starving, so everything tasted delicious. We just wished the vegetables were cooked a little softer since the broccoli was still quite hard. The pork Lau Lau and Kalua pork were both flavorful and tender. Last but not least, my daughters really enjoyed the macadamia nut pancakes. It's definitely their favorite item every time!

Comfort Hawaiian food has a special place in my heart! Big plates, juicy meats and bold flavors? A recipe for perfection. Make sure to try their Macadamia Nut Pancake special!

The only authentic Hawaiian food in the SGV. Mac nut pancakes always hit. Order a large with the cream on the side so you can have a tasty leftover set up for later later. Fresh, delicious grindz whenever I'm craving.

I've heard great things about Aloha so I knew I had to give it a try. Aloha has a small parking lot designated for customers, the interior is very cute and homey with an authentic island feel. I ordered the kalua pig lunch plate and spam musubi. Their serving sizes are soooo generous. The plate includes vegetables, rice, and macaroni salad. I came with two others and all the entrée choices were so delicious, you can't go wrong with anything. The spam came with 4 pieces and had a yummy sweet sauce to compliment the spam. So delicious!! One thing to note is they stop taking orders 30 minutes before closing so make sure you come on time to place your order!(:

I'm visiting my good friend in Alhambra and he took me to Aloha Food Factory. We tried the beef short ribs, loco moco, and garlic shrimp plate, and honestly everything hit. The short ribs were rich, savory, and was pretty tender. The loco moco was pure comfort food with that gravy over rice, and the shrimp had a ton of garlic. All dishes were large in portion size. Sides were on point too, especially the mac salad and veggies. I'm a bit disappointed with the staff. We just did not get a warm Aloha welcome. If you're in the SGV and craving Hawaiian plate, this spot is worth a stop.

I got my katsu plate 15 minutes before the pancakes came out. It was very yummy though. I would've wanted more katsu sauce personally. There's lots of outdoor seating, but it's right next to a busy road.

My wife and I haven't been to the Aloha Food Factory in Alhambra in a long time,I miss those and enjoy Portuguese sausage so good including the Hawaiian favorite iconic can meat Hormel Spam they know how to cook the Spam meat perfectly. My wife and I other favorite dish is their Macadamia pancakes top with vanilla pudding and crushed Macadamia nuts they good and fluffy we order the small dam it's like normal size pancakes but I heard the large are more bigger next we need to prepare ourselves. They also have a one or two entrees meals breakfast or lunch they also a good selection to choice from but it's hard they are so good it's hard to chose. The staff at the Aloha Food Factory are really nice and friendly and work hard to make everyone happy with home made Hawaiian favorites.

Overall 3/5 The food was decent enough but I will say the prices here really surprised me. I ordered a plate with the Kalbi beef rib protein (+$3.75) and added an egg (+$2.50). There's a mandatory 12% fee added onto all to-go & dine-in orders so my total for one lunch plate was almost $25! Service was fine, employees were friendly and food came out quick. Ambiance feels like a small family owned restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating and some Hawaiian decor. There is WiFi for guest use. I likely won't be back based on the prices alone and nothing wow'd me enough to convince me it was worth that amount.

We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. It's my first time trying out this place. I'm a fan of Hawaiian food! I'm aware new owners took over, but I wasn't expecting such a disappointment. Spicy garlic shrimp (breakfast plate) - no garlic flavor. The shrimp was literally a bite full of salt?? The plate of food was covered in salt. My rice had salt too??!!!! I used the free cup of water to wash off the shrimp to not waste the food, but it was still salty. Unfortunately, I just couldn't finish the plate of food. Kayla pig - looked edible but it was a bite full of salt? Loco Moco - patty tasted dry. At least this rice plate wasn't too salty. Macadamia Nut pancakes - looked appetizing. This came out in quick mins. It felt like it was just a quick preheated pancakes. Feels like a bit overrated place with all the positive reviews, but this is by far one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.

Stopped by for a weekday lunch. The one day it rains, it's a little cold in the dining area. Looks like there's some work being done on the restroom and it's currently out of order. I ordered a lunch 2 entree plate. Kalua pig and the katsu, The pork is very salty, honestly they can tone it back a little. The katsu was nice and crispy the veggies covered in sauce easy to eat.

Loved how the new owners changed the "Hawaiian hours" to more realistic breakfast hours -- no more opening at 11:00 a.m. lol. I also like how they made the space roomier and more comfortable. All the JAs and Hawaiians are there right when it opens, and the fluffy macadamia nut pancakes are even better than Aloha Stacks (and I'm a big Aloha Stacks fan). Other than the salty loco moco, I had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Came here to celebrate my partner's birthday! Food: I've been wanting to come here since it is very close to where I am. The food was great! We ordered the macadamian nut pancakes, and it was super fluffy and creamy. The cream was not overwhelmingly sweet, rather light! I ordered the galbi short ribs, and they were flavored well! The mac salad is very tasty. My partner ordered a beef fried rice. This was actually my favorite! Flavors exploded in my mouth. I also really liked the spam musubi, but there wasn't anything too special about it. Drink: Hawaiian Sun! Super refreshing! Service: The servers were kind and helpful. They brought out our food in a very timely manner. Parking: They have a free parking lot next to their restaurant! Very convenient. Overall: My partner and I quite enjoyed trying this place out. The prices weren't bad, and we had so much food left over for take out. I do have to say the inside is quite packed frequently. The space isn't too big for larger parties. If I get another opportunity, I would come back! It's definitely a staple in the 626 community.

The rice to spam ratio is crazy.
    Ari V.

The rice to spam ratio is crazy on the Musubi. They felt like concrete rice blocks. I only ate the spam and a tiny bit of rice of 2 of them and threw the whole thing away it sunk all the way down the trash that's how heavy these things were. In the other hand the macadamia nut French toast were okay. The French toast nothing special but the cream is aways a solid 10. Might come back again in the far future.

Hello! Do you ever offer squid luau?

i suggest you go to their website or call them!!

Are dogs welcome in the outdoor seating area?

Yes dogs are very welcome to our outdoor area.

Weren't you guys located near Arcadia? Did you guys recently move?

last time i passed your location, it looks like you were closed. i also heard around a year ago that you were closing because of city issues.

Will you be open for Father's Day?

Would you cater to Arcadia? What's the best number to reach you guys? I haven't been able to reach you calling the number listed. Thank you

    Are they open on Easter?

    Yes

    Do they have a Drive-thru?

    No, they don't

Do you have party tray ? And delivery. How much for chicken Katsu for 15 people

I don't know as I am not the owner...just a fantastic patron. Call them and they will let you know...By the way their katsu is delicious! as delicious as everything else

Is the spicy garlic shrimp really spicy? Do you guys have an option to make it non spicy?

It's mild so it won't be overwhelming. We have house chili oil for the extra spicy lovers though.

Are they open for dine-in? I tried calling the restaurant but no answer.

Yes,but they are too busy to answer the phone. Just show up.

Can we get shaved ice with "the works" to go or are the containers too small to accommodate that?

You can get it to go and make sure you give them a review to get it for free!

    Do you guys do catering?

Aloha, Yes we do. Feel free to give us a call or stop by to discuss your catering order.

Do you guys have delivery options?

Yes! You can find us on Menufy or here to order online: https://www.alohafoodfactory.com/order

Does this restaurant also serve poi?

Hello, unfortunately we do not have POI on our menu. It is definitely something to consider adding.

What is their exact Facebook for updates because the one I find hasn't been updated for years also it says they're open for takeout but when I call it's still tele voicemail :(?

    Closed until further notice

Anyone know if they are open for pick up during this pandemic?

    Closed till 5/15/2020

    Macadamia pancakes are what?

regular pancakes topped with a macadamia nut whipped topping to be used instead of syrup

Do they sell the macadamia nut pancake sauce by itself?

    I believe so

Just wondering if this spot is worth the trip from Orange County & Burbank? Any recommendations from anyone for breakfast choices either here or somewhere close?…

That's a helluva drive but I'm gonna go there from North Hollywood, just for the Macadamia nut pancakes alone! Add the pork and it's a no-brainer. Jump in and buckle up!

SALJU HAS EXCELLENT SHAVED SNOW…read more=============================== I am so glad Salju is still in business after all these years! It seems really popular as well. While I was there lots of people came in. I used to bring my son years ago. My selection today was a small matcha with strawberries on top. I had the choice of two items in addition to condensed milk which I love. Next time I'll pay extra for more condensed milk. It was absolutely delicious. Even though it's about twelve miles from my home I will make the trip. It's worth it. The service is great too.

small shaved ice ($8.5) - at first i was like why is this…read moreshaved ice almost $10 after tax but it is so worth it given the size, texture, flavor, and the fact that you can choose two toppings! - there is a great variety of toppings which I liked; i got the grass jelly and red bean, both of which were good quality ingredients - got it without any condensed milk bc it was already yummy by itself; light, refreshing, and a perfect guilt free sweet treat - the matcha was super strong and the shaved ice itself had a quirky texture; although it is shaved ice it has a texture leaning a bit towards gelato? A bit gooey when you pull it up; It doesn't melt quickly right in your mouth too rating: 4.7/5 - this might be on my top 2 shaved ice spot because its texture was just so unique; flavor was good and portion was massive - i really have nothing to complain about this spot and what's even better is the amount of seats and outlets in the store - has a restroom in the back - great spot to hang and chit chat - super welcoming and friendly service - service is extremely speedy IG: @nom.noms.only
