The ramen is absolutely delicious -- rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and all the toppings you could want. Now let's talk about the sticker shock. About $20 for a bowl of soup sounds bananas, right? But when you realize it's made fresh, customized exactly how you like it, and the portion is big enough to share (or enjoy again the next day), it starts to make total sense. This is a super cute seat yourself restaurant. I loved the interior; it feels like a cozy ramen spot. I wasn't feeling like ramen so I tried the karaage chicken rice bowl and it was delicious. All the flavors worked so well together, and I couldn't get enough. My girlfriend got the tonkotsu ramen, which I would say I've had better. But I also wasn't feeling ramen at that time. To wash everything down, we got the mango tea boba and it was some of the better boba I've had. It was my first time here and I was really pleasantly surprised by every dish that came out - and the speed that they were made! We ordered the harumaki and pork bao buns. Zuru Ramen Bar is inside the Plantation Towne Plaza, where there is ample parking, so there is no need to walk far. The best way I can describe the interior is warm and cozy yet vibrant. The Asian-style decor and art look very cool. This is the kind of place you'd go to when it's raining, and you want a nice bowl of ramen. I ordered takeout, and the employee was incredibly kind and patient, making my first visit a great experience. I ordered the Katsu Curry Chicken and Korean Chicken Wings. To start, the wings were sooo good--the blend of seasonings made them a definite favorite. The spicy sauce was perfect; I can't describe it any other way. The Katsu Curry was amazing. My only issue with the dish was the ratio of rice to protein. I feel like I was given a lot more rice than chicken, but it didn't take away from how good it was. The curry sauce was not overpowering to the seasoning of the chicken, and it definitely added more flavor when I mixed it with my rice. I recommend this dish. Overall, Zuru Ramen Bar, with its quaint yet vibrant interior and delicious menu, is definitely a great spot for a date night or lunch out with friends. We had the following: Tofu appetizer- i don't really order tofu but my daughter insisted and it was so delicious. Lightly fried. Must order. Black garlic Ramen- if you like the garlic flavor, order this Ramen, it's absolutely delicious. It can be shared between two people depending if you order something else. The tuna triangle thing forgot the name but you can see my pictures. This was good but the least liked. We thought that the runa would be raw but it was more of a tuna salad iinside. Served with pickled beets/radish. I want to come back to try the Korean wings. Pro Tip: they have a Ramen bowl challenge. It's $69 and if you eat the Ramen in 25 minutes, it's free. We all had appetizers (except eldest son) - he got a Cashu Don bowl (Pork belly / Japanese mayo / Eel sauce / Togarashi / Scallion / Shoga) then we all got a House Salad (Romaine lettuce, cherry tomato, red cabbage, red onion, served with sesame dressing), Takoyaki (A popular street food from Osaka with bits of octopus and dough inside a crispy shell served with okonomi sauce and egg salad - Jason loved the egg salad, Pork Katsu (Panko breaded pork loin deep fried served with tartar and Bulldog sauce), Bao Buns (Braised Pork Belly and Chicken Karaage), and some of the best Mochi we've had (strawberry, matcha, and mango). I'm aware this asain restaurant is big on ramen bowls but I actually tried something different. The two servers were friendly and conversed with me about the different foods they offer. I decided on the Pork Chashu which is sliced pork belly for $4.00. The meal was classically presented with four pork belly slices on a black plate. The server told me to try the Togarashi spice which I lightly sprinkled on my pork. The pieces tasted fresh and the fat was super tender - loved it. The Togarashi provided just enough of a spicy kick. They offer a Ramen Titan Challenge - Finish a massive bowl of ramen in under 25 minutes and its FREE or pay $69.00. The bathroom was clean and very modern with a black and white speckled sink and brass faucet. My next trip here I will try the Ramen with a side of the pork slices. read more

From Paradise to Hell This was our second time visiting this ramen restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was completely different from the first one. The first visit was excellent. The ramen was amazing, we ordered it with a poached egg and everything was perfect--the temperature, the texture, and the flavor. Overall, it was a great experience and it made us want to come back. The second visit, however, was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy, which I completely understand. Because of that, I was patient with the delay in getting our drinks and food. I know when a place is full, service can take longer. The real issue started when the food finally arrived. One of the ramen bowls was cold, and the poached eggs were poorly cooked. The yolks, which should have been soft, were hard, and the eggs were literally cold, as if they had just come out of the refrigerator. To make things worse, one of the eggs that came with the ramen had a strange color, almost like mold, which was very unpleasant and concerning. We spoke with the waitress, and she offered us a 20% discount, which I appreciate. However, this was not about the price--it was about the quality and safety of the food. It's really unfortunate because we went from a great first experience to a very bad one. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

If it's not broken ... don't fix it. They changed many items or ingredients on the menu and things don't taste as good anymore , they just taste lower in quality and look unappetizing. Idk what happened to this place , service has gone down hill, servers act like they never want to be there. I ordered these deep fried gyozas which I have always ordered and they always have clear white pork meat with green onions and they're so flavorful with a bubbly crispy crust. I'm not sure what these are but no ... these don't look good at all. They're fried rice has also sadly changed , it tastes like it had frozen veggies and has a weird plasticky flavor too it idk. Came on a Sunday night with a group of friends My friends got the takoyaki to share with everyone and they were sizable, freshy hot, and on top of an egg salad-like mixture. Got the mazesoba. Loved the fatty pork that came with it. It was quite rich and creamy since there was no soup. The only thing that I didn't like was that it had quite a few chopped raw onions. Also shared the chicken pai tan with someone else. The chicken pai tan was a nice contrast to the rich mazesoba by being more light in flavor. To me, this was a type of dish I'd want on cooler winter days or when I'm recovering from a cold. In both dishes, the noodles were decent, but I guess I prefer slightly more chewy/thicker noodles. Service was great. They knew that since I was sharing dishes, they offered to bring two smaller bowls which definitely made it easier for us. The setting was pretty small though--with my party of 6, we originally each had a menu but they asked to take a few menus away to give to the other guests. Parking widely available since it's located in a plaza. Overall, my favorite was the takoyaki. I'd come back to try the other dishes. read more

Short of going to NY it's hard to find a truly great ramen spot in Florida - so we were so excited when we came across Zaru Ramen in Plantation - the ramen was truly one of the BEST RAMENS we have had (including NY). I fell in love with the big picture they had up on one wall of the restaurant it truly was beautiful and fun to look at and made a great background for pictures with friends and selfies. The food - was absolutely AMAZING! We ordered for the table as starters the pork belly bao buns, chicken karaage, and gyoza and everyone at the table loved them. Each dish was so good! Some of the best gyoza's we have had also. We ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, the Tonkatsu Ramen, and the Mazesoba Ramen and definitely the best ramen dish of the three was the Black Garlic Ramen (surprisingly) it was absolutely delicious. Truly one of the best ramen we have ever had. The broth was perfect, had the right amount of fatty flavor to it, and had such delicious spices to it and flavor. The noodles for the ramen were homemade and fresh as well and I loved that you can order extra noodles on the side if you have extra ramen broth left over. Truly one of the BEST RAMEN dishes! They also had a great sale selection as well and the service was phenomenal. Everything came out like it was supposed to, didn't take too long, and was exactly as we ordered it. Staff was friendly and made great recommendations. Overall - a great dining experience! One thing to note, the location of the restaurant was a bit hard to find since the restaurant is located in a big shopping plaza and doesn't have a sign up above the restaurant that you can see from the car. I was lucky enough to join Zuru Ramen Plantation on their oficial opening day. It was a moment filled with excitement and anticipation. A group of us enthusiasts arrived very early to the restaurant to be one of the first 50 people to arrive and receive the free gift of ramen, as Zuru Ramen Plantation generously decided to share during their opening weekend. We all waited patiently and with excitement until the doors open and were greeted by the staff. We all screamed in celebration and felt as if we were all part of Zuru Ramen. As we walked through the doors and were seated, we were immediately served water and our order was taken. Our order was a gift from Zuru Ramen, a Karaage appetizer and a ramen of our choice. Karaage, chicken coated in a crispy breading, is delicious! Crunchy and flavorful. For my ramen option I ordered an original Tonkotsu, my hubby was with me and he ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu. The ramen was amazing! Soft noodles, the most savory broth, and tender pieces of pork chasshu. The restaurant owner came by our table and explained to my hubby how to mix his spicy Tonkotsu. It was a very special touch! The spice in the broth was definitely spicy. The perfect kick. The place was trendy decorated with Japanese drawings and bright red colors. It was clean and the music was pleasant. The staff did a great job. They kept making sure we had everything we needed. At the end of our meal we were given a commemorative gift, a set of pretty chopsticks. I appreciated this a lot because it was very thoughtful of them to do this. This opening event was definitely well thought, planned, organized and it gives Zuru Ramen a great first impression into the community. It was only open for 3 days on my visit, but everything was running so smoothly like they've been open forever. The ramen was delicious, super flavorful. The decor is trendy , they also have indoor and outdoor seating . We were quickly greeted by our server Dean . He gave us great recommendations. The Takoyaki Fried Octopus was such a delicious appetizer. I was eager to try the spicy Tonkontsu Ramen, I would say the only complaint is that it is not really spicy .
