My office relocated to Weston, so I've been really enjoying trying so many new restaurants. Today, I found Yum Korea and was very surprised that I hadn't heard of this place sooner. My coworkers and I went around noon, and didn't have to wait long to be served at the counter. The staff were so very kind to us and patient, as we reviewed the menu. I ordered the beef bulgogi rice bowl, mango bubble tea, and dumpling soup, my total coming out to about $40, tip included. The bulgogi bowl was so good and flavorful, and more than enough for 2 meals. The dumpling soup was hot, flavorful, and the dumplings were huge! Yum Korea is located within the Weston Town Center and serves up a variety of Korean food. I stumbled upon this place after my therapy session in the area and was so excited to see it! It seemed like a fast casual spot, and for the most part it is, but their menu is extensive and they offer alcoholic beverages such as beer and soju. Ordering is simple and the staff was super friendly when we took our order at the register. They gave us a number and we were able to sit wherever. From the menu, we ended up getting a cup of tteokbokki (with bulgogi added), the katsu bowl with fried egg, and one potato Korean corn dog. Everything came out quickly, hot, and fresh! We were wondering where to grab our utensils from and they were actually located inside our table at a drawer at the sides. All the tables had this and we thought it was so neat. The space was clean and they had some iconic KPop songs playing with their music videos on the tv screen. The food itself was really good. The prices for some of their items are pretty steep but the food was of quality and delicious. I really loved the katsu bowl and the tteokbokki! Alright, buckle up buttercups, because I just experienced a flavor explosion at Yum Korean in Weston that left me questioning all my previous life choices (mostly the ones that didn't involve copious amounts of kimchi). First off, the name doesn't lie. It's not "meh" Korean, or "kinda good sometimes" Korean. It's straight-up YUM. My taste buds did a little happy dance, possibly a full-on K-pop choreography routine, with every single bite. I ordered the [insert a dish you might order, e.g., bulgogi] and it was so tender, I swear it could have been used as a pillow for a very happy cloud. The marinade? Oh. My. Goodness. I'm pretty sure they bottle pure joy and marinate their meat in it. And the sides! Oh, the glorious army of little dishes that arrived like a delicious welcoming committee! The kimchi was spicy and tangy, the pickled radish crunchy and refreshing - it was a party in my mouth and everyone was invited. I even tried something I couldn't pronounce (pretty sure it involved seaweed and sesame oil) and now I'm convinced I need a lifetime supply. The service was also fantastic. Our server was so friendly and helpful, they probably moonlight as a professional smile-giver. They answered all my slightly frantic questions about the spice levels with the patience of a saint dealing with a hangry food enthusiast (that's me!). My only complaint? My stomach has a finite capacity. I wanted to order everything on the menu, but alas, human limitations exist. I guess that just means I have to go back. Twist my arm, why don't you? So, if you're in Weston and your taste buds are feeling a little...blah, do yourself a favor and head to Yum Korean. It's not just a meal, it's an experience. Super cute area with many options for food, Yum Korea is a cute little spot tucked away in Weston Town Center. I wanted to try so many menu items but only had room for one. Went with the Hot Stone Bibimbap with Beef Bulgogi. It's a few extra dollars for the hot stone but I went that route because I love the crispy rice that sets on the hot stone. When the food came out, you could see the steam coming from my dish. It was a beautiful thing. Oh man, I couldn't wait to dig into this dish. The beef was cooked perfectly and it was so tasty! Didn't mess with my rice cooking on the hot stone because I wanted it extra crispy. Let me tell you, once I was ready...that wife was crispy AF ya'll. OMG!!! So gooooooood! I legit sent a pic to my husband and told him about this hot stone pot. He is a huge fan of crispy rice so you know I'm bringing him back here. Met the owner and she was incredibly nice. They have ramen, boulgi, bowls, Asian tacos, nachos, quesidla, dumplings and boba tea. The ramen costs $16.99. The dumplings (aka Mandu) are $9.99 for 6, a bit overpriced in my book. This location is a very beautiful area, easy to spot when trying to find. When you enter, staff welcomes you and you find a seat. We saw that there was a street food platter and although it is not on the menu, it is able to be ordered. It consisted of dumplings, two kinds of Korean fried chicken, and fried kimbap for $23. For the price and quality, it was not worth it. It could feed 1, 2 people at max. Service can definitely be upgraded because it seems so chaotic behind the counter. If people order a bowl, their order will come before yours. We had to wait 15 minutes for our order while everyone who ordered a bowl got theirs immediately after ordering. It didn't seem uniform in how they were working and who was doing what. It seems the staff was doing what they wanted at the moment and no one was really designated to do what. Overall, I would not return. I do not believe it was authentic Korean fried chicken, it tasted like orange chicken. Their mango-lemonade was very sweet also so it was not a good experience for us. read more

My only complaint is I ordered two dumpling soups. One chicken and one vegetable. The vegetable dumpling soup was actually pork dumpling soup. So I was given the wrong thing. I, luckily, eat pork so whatever. But, that is a bit concerning for people with allergies or specific food things. Definitely makes me keep an eye out when ordering modifications or something. Other than that the soups both taste fantastic. Wish they had a bigger option. You get 4 dumpling per soup. Taro milk tea and tiger milk tea were both great. First time trying rice cakes on their yum skewers. I loved the crispy rice cake! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The chicken was great. The sausage on the yum skewer was pretty salty, but to be expected from sausage! Eaten all together it's a great combo. Unfortunately, rather than positively updating my review, I now cannot recommend this place! If no stars was an option with an explanation to boot, that would be the choice. Last Friday, we placed an order for delivery. Not only was our food one hour late, they sent steamed pork Mandu (dumplings) instead of chicken. We came here after a round of golf at Weston Hills, my boyfriend had eaten there in the past and liked it. The menu has so many choices. Hard for your eyes to not get bigger than your stomach! We started with the rice cakes which you almost don't realize are on the menu, because the bolded letters are all the traditional Korean names, but I remembered the name of this dish from the past (Tteok bokki) and I'm so happy we tried it. It comes in a delicious soupy sauce that's a bit spicy and is a generous portion to share, even the smaller size. Highly recommend. We got the beef hot stone bibimbap which was good, but the stone wasn't hot enough, and it didn't make the rice on the inside very crispy, which is generally the best part. Being that they charge an additional fee to serve it in the hot stone, it would have been nice if it came out searing. But the flavors were good, all of the toppings came together, and they offered a delicious sauce with it. We tried the shrimp bao bun which was also good and had a yummy sauce. We also tried the Korean stir fried udon, the chicken was a little bland though. After i ordered that i noticed the volcano fried rice on the menu and we decided it sounded way better and we're gonna try it next time. Great new place in weston Town center, located a few doors down from the cheese course. Yum korea is very clean inside, and prompt customer service. Right now due to covid they are only doing online ordering or telephone ordering. I was able to view the menu online and call ahead for my oder. Menu has so many options. More options as hot options for the cuisine. If you were expecting sushi there is none, but they do offer poke bowls. The menu has a variety of noodle dishes, bibimbap bowls, rice bowls... very popular items are the parasite noodles, and the bibimbap bowls.. i tried from the lunch menu the chicken katsu, you get a choice of white, brown rice and a few different sauces to choose from the lunch price for that item is 10$ which was really delicious and filling. I did find myself seeking a cooling item like cucumber or something refreshing to add. However the chicken was delicious, perfectly crunchy and great meat to batter ratio. This place is great to grab food, suggestions will include adding more items to lucnh options.. ordering things will really add up as most entrees start from 10- 15$ per entre. This is a brief review for a Uber Eats order of Yum Korea. Ordered a bipbap bowl with brown rice and spicy pork. My first impression, this is not Bap Bistro. Still the bowl was a good size for the price. The meat was a little skimpy though. The order came in less than an hour and the food was still hot. It was filling. Yum Korea is a newer restaurant to the Weston Town center. It is a quick service type set up where you go and order at the register, get a number and then someone brings you your food. I went there once prior to the covid19 shut down. It was a nice experience and the bibimbap in the stone pot was delicious. The rice was nice and crispy and the veggies were all fresh. I enjoyed everything except the potato thing we had. It didn't really fit with the menu and it wasn't great. They also have a nice selection of fruit and milk teas. The service was very good (and we were there around the time they first opened). Flash forward to quarantine and we have ordered 3 times so far. Delivery is super fast as we live very close, so the food comes hot. I have gotten the bibimbap (non hot stone) 2x and ordered the hot stone once. I always get with brown rice, tofu and no egg. While I am sure they try to capture the crispy rice on the bottom, I didn't notice much difference so did the $2 less I get the regular one. The veggies are always plentiful and fresh. I appreciate that they read the notes and prepare as requested each time. My husband had the side of kimchi (he loves it and the 2nd time we ordered he ordered 2). He also had the spicy pork (which he enjoyed), a chicken chunk appetizer which may daughter also liked as the spicy sauce was on the side. I have ordered fruit teas for delivery...I have had the lemon, lichi and passion fruit. The lichi is my favorite. All in all, everything was packaged nicely and the order has been correct each time. Also, tested out the rum-free Piña Colada which was surprisingly good considering it is not a Puerto Rican shop nor niche cafe for similar mocktails. Honestly not bad for what it is. Express type place which is the whole town center as a whole. They have boba tea but the ginger tea is actual ginger which is nice.
