I ordered a poke bowl online for pickup. The lobster salad was amazing! However, the online ordering system was confusing. I didn't realize there were additional customization options further down the page because you have to scroll to see them, and it's not very obvious. We ended up with a bowl that was half filled with lettuce and only three proteins. The layout makes it very easy to miss important selections, so be sure to scroll carefully and double-check everything before submitting or you could pay $20 for half a bowl of lettuce and some meat. I wish someone would have been like, "Did you mean to order only lettuce and proteins?" I didn't even check it until I got back home. Lesson learned. read more

In the year I have enjoyed this Pokemoto spot, today was the first time I have a complaint regarding their bowls. Me and my wife ordered Large bowls and they were filled as if they were Regular bowls. Unfortunately, for my fat ass, I found it unacceptable. Usually for the large and regular bowls, even the small bowls, they fill em up real good so today was definitely a let down. On top of that the rice they served in our bowls were cold. Usually its always freshly served and warm sushi rice but today was a measly cold temperature. I love this spot and I do recommend it but only if they fix these small things because they always make amazing bowls except for today. Also I understand if they are out of items, but almost a whole bunch of ingredients? Had a small tuna poke bowl and spam musubi today. First I'll talk about the musubi. It's served at room temperature and is the standard version. Not too bad. As is the common issue with these, there's a LOT of rice so the seaweed doesn't hold it together very well. While not a problem it does make it messy. All in all, I would get it again. Now for the bowl. Some of the ingredients I'm not familiar with but I will try anything. I had the tuna with brown rice, teriyaki sauce, corn, edamame, ogo seaweed, hijiki seaweed, carrots, seaweed salad, shredded nori, and sesame seeds. Not bad for $9.99 flavor wise. Unfortunately the rice was undercooked which left me fearing a broken tooth. I know most places use a rice cooker but I think it needs a little more water or time to soften more. Decided to check this place out. Really nice and clean. There was nobody there. The prices are decent, not as pricey as other places I've been to. The poke bowl was pretty good. I have to say the crab tasted weird though, kind of dry. I also got some spam musubi for my kids. They liked it. I did not. I normally do like spam musubi too. But I am more picky when it comes to this. So if my kids will eat it then it's decent. I also got the passion fruits tea with mango jelly, really good! So it's a nice place to stop and get some lunch. Not too pricey. Also the girl that made my order was pretty nice. All in all very well-rounded. read more

Beware, I got mild food poisoning from this place, and judging by other reviews, especially on Google, this is something that's been happening more and more frequently at this location. Not sure if it's due to the quality of ingredients going down, general lack of due-diligence by the owner/manager, or the rude, aggressively ugly freaks who work here not doing their jobs properly and mixing raw ingredients together in dangerous, unhygienic ways, but this place feels like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Perhaps less "activist" charity hiring of the severely mentally ill and more care in the kinds of people you put in charge of serving customers raw fish will improve things, I don't know. It's actually pretty good if you like sushi you should try these guys poké bowls - get the rice separately from the rest so it can cool off and doesn't warm up the meat. They also give you enough wasabi for like 10 people for some reason. read more

Had a "Mini"? Poke bowl, rice, tuna, seaweed, not too many ingredients and shoyu (I think)sauce. Not happy; the rice was not cooked through, like the outside was cooked but not the middle; I grew up eating rice being from Asian family from the Philippines; so I know rice; they don't know how to cook rice here; then the sauce--too much and too sweet; the other ingredients were OK, except it was slathered in the sauce, so I couldn't bear to finish my bowl. Their musubi is OK, a little salty for my taste. Nothing "Hawaiian" about this place; except some of their drinks, maybe. read more

Nice little poke place located in a good busy Wichita area! I haven't been to many poke places in Wichita. This one just happened to be within passing of running some errands. It was late afternoon. Which is 50% off boba tea from 3-5! I also was feeling a little hungry so I was also hopeful they'd have musubi. I only recently was introduced to musubi and now I'm obsessed with it. So if I can try it anywhere I'm totally in! They had 2 for $5 musubi and it was just made that day. Good size portion. It was good. I've had better, but it definitely hit the spot! I went out of my way to try something totally off the wall for me for the boba. I got the Watermelon Milk Tea with Passionfruit tapioca. Personally this boba tea was not for me. It tasted a like like the Watermelon Smuckers chapstick from the 90's lol. Would be a fun flavor for a child. I personally prefer the coffee flavored teas. I thought it was cute to be able to pick out your straw color. The restaurant was open and spacious, very clean and cutely decorated. The staff was very nice and helpful. We have eaten at the east side location several times, and waited patiently for the west side location at Seneca and Pawnee. Today was day 1. Our long wait is finally over and it was worth the wait. If you are a west-side and like poke bowls, you will not be disappointed. We both got large bowls, one with rice, one with salad, and both with 3 proteins. There is a party going on in my mouth now. I had way more than I needed and will likely return to a one protein snack bowl in the future. My husband and my Doberman both willingly finished my bowl. Nobody walked away hungry. The assembly line was quick, efficient and very pleasant. Everybody greeted us with a friendly "aloha". We did take our bowls home this time, but will likely make a habit of dining in.
