I was in the area and craving poke when this spot popped up, and with the great rating, I thought, "Why not give it a try?" I'm usually a little skeptical when it comes to raw fish, and unfortunately, this experience reminded me why. I built my own bowl with white rice as the base, ahi tuna and spicy salmon for my proteins, then added edamame, cucumber, corn, avocado, seaweed salad, surimi salad, and onion crisps. There were so many toppings to choose from! I wasn't sure which sauces to try, so I asked for samples. The lady accidentally mixed the sriracha aioli with the sweet shoyu, and while the combination was interesting, the sriracha aioli was a little too spicy for me. The bowl itself actually tasted really good, but unfortunately, my stomach had a different opinion. I'm not sure what didn't sit well--the raw fish, the sauce, or maybe a combination of both. We eat at Pokeworks regularly, and today's visit was the worst experience ever. Three young teenagers worked today; altogether, they were slow and unorganized. I ordered the charred teriyaki--he used two torches at once, for extended periods, paused, and then used a spoon to mix the salmon in between torches. He took way too long. The salmon was not charred--it was burnt. He's supposed to use one torch and the other hand to flip and stir the salmon as it is being torched!! Other issues: They gave too teriyaki sauce and it absorbed the rice. The salad was not dressed. We asked for salad dressing, and the girl was like, which dressing would you like? The salad comes with the standard dressing unless asked otherwise. The second teen didn't know what he was doing, and kept asking the guy what he needed to do, or how to prep the order he was working. He was waiting for the teen to hand him the torches as the pickup just arrived for their order. The girl, who was restocking greens, could have easily picked up the char station as they were getting busy. They did NOT proportionate foods. We had to ask for more lettuce because of the proportion they tried serving initially. The lemonades were empty and there was less than 1/3 of green tea remaining. The ice machine was completely out! Management/leaders need to do better by scheduling people to match their skill sets. Today's visit was a waste of time and money! Everything in my bowl was fine EXCEPT for the raw fish. I don't mind raw fish at all, but the tuna and salmon were too chewy for me. I did receive a generous portion, but I had to manually pick out all the pieces, and cut it up smaller because the size and texture was off putting. My stomach also hurt afterwards... If I were ever to come here again, I would definitely avoid the raw protein options and stick with the cooked ones. read more

Fantastic. I live about 25+ miles away ... but came here today during lunch to give the closest Pokeworks to my house a try. Have been to other locations in several states and have enjoyed them overall. Arrived about 12ish, greeted immediately and friendly by Daniel (or Dennis ... I'm sorry!), who as he wrapped up another online order, then took my order. He walked me through the options, selections, etc. and away it went. Got a 1/2&1/2 Brown Rice/Spring Mix base ,with 3 scoops of protein (2x Tuna and 1x Spicy Tuna), then added ... pineapple, cucumber, avocado, crab salad, onions ... and on finishing off with some onion and garlic crisps and sesame seeds. The food is good and fresh, the customer service is great. The only thing I don't like is that the serving of the fish is pretty small. They use a small ice cream scoop to measure the fish and that's so small for a $14 lunch bowl. read more

came here twice with my brother and friends and made our own bowls. regular size bowl is about $13.5 with 2 protein options and you can get 3 proteins for a couple bucks more. the fish is fresh what i like about pokeworks is that they have so many options on bases (rice/noodles/veggies/etc), toppings, sauces, and other additions - mostly without any extra fees. you can customize your bowl how you want and add as much as you want without extra costs (minus adding a few things like avocado). that's honestly what makes Pokeworks better than other options around. everyone at pokeworks is so friendly and patient in explaining how the ordering process works. Lexi helped me both times I went and she's amazing. Denis, the owner, greets you as you come in, asks you how you're doing, and is overall a charismatic and friendly human. he's learned my name and my friends and had many real conversations with us. the staff here is amazing and genuine and is the biggest factor to me returning. 10/10 service made my brother and i return with friends the very next day. read more
