Came at around 2pm on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy at all, but it should've been. The food here is fantastic!! It took about 15 mins to come out. Everything we had was flavorful, delicious, and all the meat was moist! I can't wait to come back and I'm sad it took me so long to find this place! Highly recommend!! Service was helpful and friendly. The restaurant felt very clean, spacious, and modern with a lot of natural light. They brought our food out to our table and gave us napkins and utensils, so we didn't have to get up and get them ourselves. Absolutely a great dining experience! The portions are also big! My bf and I each got a Hawaiian Favorite combo and couldn't finish them. The entrees are easily two servings for me, so it's a great value! The containers the food comes in are microwavable too, so extra bonus points for easy reheating! If you do manage to finish an entree in one sitting though, you will be stuffed! It wasn't mentioned on the menu, but there's steamed/sautéed cabbage under the meat. It looked a little deceiving because I thought it was just a huge pile of meat, only to find cabbage under. Thankfully, I love cabbage and appreciated that there were veggies to balance the heaviness of all the meat. That being said, there was still a lot of meat, just not as much as it looked like at first. They also give you little containers of sauce depending on which entree you get, which really enhanced the meal. If you get bbq beef or chicken, you get a delicious, sweet, Hawaiian bbq sauce. If you get the chicken katsu, you get a sauce that resembles sweet and sour. If you get a combo that has both bbq meat and chicken katsu, you get both sauces. I poured the sauce over the rice to season the plain white rice, then poured the rest on the meat even though it didn't really need it. BBQ CHICKEN: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in small to large chunks. BBQ BEEF: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in thin slices. CHICKEN KATSU: Moist! Fresh, crunchy breading! Tastes better with the sweet and sour-like sauce provided than on its own. KALBI SHORT RIBS: Delicious! Moist! Has fatty bits, unlike the bbq beef, which I really liked! First off, I have had one positive experience, but this experience left much to be desired and it demonstrated a clear lack of care, consistency, consideration, professionalism, pride in the product and just WOW, DISAPPOINTING . Woooww! I've been hesitant to try this place because of the low number of reviews but I highly recommend! I ordered the H3-BBQ and Katsu plate. It came with BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and Chicken Katsu. Sides included macaroni salad, slaw (cooked cabbage), and rice. Sauces included Katsu, teriyaki, and Sriracha. I ordered it to-go and as soon as I got into my car I knew I was in for a taste of heaven. Longest ride home and I only live less than 10 minutes away. The BBQ meats were cooked to perfection, seasoned very well, and extremely tender. I'm not a of macaroni salad but this left me wanting more. The cashier told me the plate came with slaw but it was more like a stir fried cabbage. If you don't want any of the sides you can substitute it for any other side. I happened to be in the Cypress area on a Wednesday. The memory is vivid as it was 9/11 and I had just finished a long walk. While considering tacos, this place popped up in my YELP feed so figured I check it out. Gotta give credit for those algorithms on the app, otherwise I never would've considered coming here. Rolling here about 20 minutes before closing, at first I was taking aback that there was no one in here. Walking in, the place is very clean and the staff was friendly and gave me some recommendations which were the Hawaiian BBW Mix plate and an order of lumpia (egg rolls). Since they were about to close, I ordered my food to go and they had it ready for me in less than 10 minutes. Went back home and dug in. The BBQ platter is a ton of food and the meats are tender overall. The chicken and beef are filled with flavors from the grill and juices. The short ribs can be a pain to eat with the bones attached so I had to use my fingers. Yet I found myself licking the fingers afterwards due to the sweetness and that grill taste. Meanwhile, the macaroni salad was my favorite of the sides, probably would get more of that over the rice. The lumpia is crispy and comes with roughly 6 pieces. This is one of my fave places to recommend to the locals. Their Tuesday chicken plate special has gotten me through some busy weeks! We usually get their teriyaki chicken and chicken Katsu. Their macaroni salad is consistently delicious and the pairing of white rice and steamed veggies are great. This new restaurant opened a couple of months ago and I recently visited for lunch. It's in a new space as part of a strip center at the corner of FM1960 and N. Eldridge with parking in front. Inside its a counter service eatery that has a big and airy dining room with big windows. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken meal for $10.75 and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was a typical Hawaiian lunch plate with plenty of chicken, two scoops of rice and another scoop of macaroni. I thought everything tasted very good and was pleased. The meal represented very good value and I plan to return to try one of their beef and seafood protein plates. Most menu items are in the low teens $. I am a big fan of Hawaiian restaurants and have been trying all of them in the area. This is my favorite. My previous favorite was L&L Hawaiian BBQ in Katy, but this place is sooo much better. I got the Chicken Combo which is a combination of the Hawaiian BBQ chicken and the chicken Katsu with the side of rice and macaroni salad. It came with a refreshment as well. The chicken Katsu was crispy and FRESH! No old tasting fried chicken at this place. The Hawaii BBQ chicken was really good, I am glad I got the combo to try it out. It isn't too sweet, just right on the BBQ sauce they marinate it in. The spam musubi came with two, only 1 is pictured in my photo because I ate it so fast. It was really good! The spam is fried well (some places under fry the spam, not here, they did it right) and they have a bit of Katsu sauce inside as well, it's really flavorful. The prices are really great here. I had lots of leftovers, enough for another meal. They do offer a lunch special which is 6.99 for a "mini meal" with a drink which is an amazing deal. I did not purchase this but my friend I dined with did and it was adequate food, she was full and finished everything. The cashier was very friendly and personable. We made a special trip out to this restaurant driving 45 minutes across town. We got to the restaurant just before 8pm which should have been fine as the posted hours say it's open until 9pm. The restaurant was spacious and clean, in fact, we had to step around the mop bucket to get to the counter. We gave our order and the cashier warned us that we would not have a lot of time to eat as they close the dining area at 8:30pm. I commented that the hours say they are open til 9pm so we were expecting to be able to eat there. She explained that she is paid by the hour so they use the last 30 minutes to do the required cleaning, but eventually agreed that it was fine. She gave us our cup for the fountain drink and then had to turn the machine on, she had already shut that down for the evening. The food was fine, though I'm not familiar with hawaiian cuisine. My boyfriend, who does eat hawaiian often, was not a fan of the food. We had the platter with the trio of meats. We liked the chicken katsu but the beef and bbq chicken were not as good. The macaroni salad was nice though. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and the food was not good enough to make it worth the drive. We may make the drive again in the future, but we will probably be trying out Aloha across the street. We are still hunting for our go-to Hawaiian BBQ place! read more

Just a heads up that the prices on the drive thru menu & online ordering is matching what is ringing up on register. I was told the grilled chicken plate was $16+change. It showed $12.75. The young lady at the window was very sweet & apologetic for the price discrepancy. She quickly adjusted it. I then scanned the QR on my receipt as if to place an order online. Shows restaurant closed. Which can't help business. The online prices match the drive thru menu. If management has adjusted prices on the register please update online & drive thru pricing to match. Their grilled chicken however is fast. My biggest pet peeve here is the complete lack of paper towels or napkins. If you wash your hands before you eat and don't like to touch handles after you wash your hands, good luck. Lol the restroom situation is a zoo. Air driers only with doors that only open inwards as you exit instead of outwards. Also their tea isn't brewed it's just a concentrate which is really gross and IMO lazy.
