THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE POKE PLACE!!!!! Ever since it opened up in katy, it's the only place I go to get poke. The fish there is always fresh, plus they have a base option of kale noodles! I'll usually get noodles or sushi rice. They have lots of creative mix-ins like seaweeds and fruits on top of the usual onions, cucumbers, etc. There are lots of sauces as well and the server will ask you "light, medium, or heavy" which I appreciate because some places will just drown your bowl with too much sauce. Another unique option is lotus chips for a crunch in your bowl. I loooove the lotus chips!! The customer service is outstanding. I've never had a complaint about anyone there. Any questions I've had were always answered with a smile. Additionally, if you download the Pokeworks app you can get $5 off your first purchase. This was a disappointing experience!!!! I guess this location at 21788 Katy Freeway #700 Katy, TX 77449 is under new ownership. Came for dinner at 6:30 pm. Took almost 30 minutes to be served with only 2 people ahead of us. We ordered 2 Poke bowls with salmon and ahi tuna combo; which meant you could get a boba tea and miso soup or chips. After paying we found out they had no miso soup!!! I agreed to get chips to save a fuss but they only had barbecue and salt and vinegar and one bag of jalapeño that looked like the bag had been crumpled. The girl who waited on us said she would check to see if there were any other chips and came back with one bad equally as crumpled of sea salt. Again, I took it not to make an issue over it. We had completely finished our dinner when we finally got our boba tea and it came in a 12 oz. solo cup with ice and a regular straw with no sealed lid! She said she could wrap Saran Wrap on the top if we wanted. Unbelievable! Don't say you have boba tea if you don't!!! Don't say you have miso soup if you don't! They might be the only Pokeworks in the area, but they are not the only poke spot in the area. A free suggestion to the younglin who tried to skimp me on food would be to not argue with a customer and expect me pay for something I didn't get. I'm taking this as a blessing in disguise. Ever since the Pokémon craze started I been going to poke restaurants thinking that they were places to catch Pokémon and do battles. But as time went on I started to realize that was not the case and that these "poke" restaurants actually served food. So I been trying these type of restaurants out lately to try and find "the one" and saw this one was open and wanted to give it a try. First off I like the location right off the freeway and in a nice strip center with other nice restaurants. The decor is quite nice with a bright modern feel with lots of white, wood and natural materials and the dining area is quite spacious..... especially for those Pokémon battles. I tried the spicy ahi bowl. Comes with 2 scoops of ahi tuna (regular size) masago, onions, brown rice(you can choose white) sriracha aioli as a base. I added edamame some crunchies and jalapeño. I love the fact they ask you how much sauce you want. I almost died. She asked if I wanted light, regular or heavy on the sauce. I think my big ass grin told her to go heavy so she did. I like having a lot of sauce because it helps everything tie in together as one flavor and as you chew it goes away and reveals all the other flavors such as the tuna and rice. The meal was quite enjoyable. All the ingredients were delicious and did not hint at being out too long. Overall aside from the lack of Pokémon found here the food was great and I would definitely come back. This will be one of my go to poke places. read more

Poke Doesn't Work! I made the mistake of visiting this location today for lunch...BIG MISTAKE! The guy working behind the counter was sweating like it was his job! He welcomed me to the restaurant and asked if I was ready to order. He then proceeds to wipe the sweat from his face and picks up a pair of disposable gloves. Upset right now as I'm posting this review. I've been to many poke places and always get KALE NOODLES and it's always been REAL KALE but I decided to try this place today and got their kale noodles and noticed that it looked different. I didn't realize til I got in the car that it was spaghetti like so I called and asked.. they told me it was spaghetti noodles with kale flavoring. Wtf. I've been on a no carb diet for almost 2 months and am doing keto matter of fact and I'm pretty sure this just kicked me out of it. I was able to find facts on their website about their "kale" noodles and it has 62g of carbs per serving so BEWARE!!! Unsafe, disgusting I went in on the 28th March 2019 to purchase a bowl of poke. I bought that along with something called a Coco Mango Haupia (picture attached). I've been a regular customer here for a few months and always found them professional, and until this date, I had never witnessed any hygiene or food safety concerns. Well you can imagine my absolute shock as I dug into the Haupia (at home) and got to the bottom of it. The dairy component (white part) looked really old. So I was quite skeptical. When I looked at the expiration date on the container, I found that it was long expired (more than 2 days expired!). Here's the most revolting part. When I called the store to complain (I was already back home - I had purchased a To-Go box), the man on the line had the nerve to say that they had accidentally mislabelled two of the boxes with incorrect expiration dates (and that the actual expiration date is some time in April, in the future). When I mentioned that the food looked expired, he tried to reassure me that it is indeed still good to eat. And that he could refund me for the portion of the bill related to the Haupia. I am disgusted at the fact that this piece of food was still left on the shelf but also at the nauseating attempt to explain away what happened. Never again.
