Poke Bowl - Regular (2 Proteins)

This restaurant was a lovely lunch spot. The poke was delicious and spicy, and the garlic musubi was terrific, so I should've gotten two. I will definitely return to try some other items on the menu.

The spam Mitsubishi is so awful here.... DO NOT GET IT!!! The insides are semi clean with very noticeable trash and un wiped surfaces. The service is a little below or the same as any other Chipotle place. Come here if there are no other Poke places.

Came here a year or so ago and they were just ok. Tonight, they were what I would call as pretty dang good! We did a build our own bowl and their Teriyaki Chicken from their Hot Hawaii menu. Both were fantastic! The service was pretty good, nothing to complain about. They seemed a little busy for just one person to be up front, and I waited longer than I would like because of it, but for good food I will tolerate it. The ambiance is where these places could really improve. It has limited seating and is pretty basic. It is not designed for anyone's being excited to eat here.

I like to get the salad mix with brown rice as my base. Then I get spicy tuna and spicy salmon. It is not spicy at all, and I love these two fish! You get to choose your own toppings, and the only add ons that cost money are masago and avocado. The workers are really nice, and it's a quiet place to eat with a friend or even alone. It does get pretty expensive, but it's worth going to if you want to eat something cold! For sauces, I mix the sriracha aioli and Pokeworks Classic.

We ordered poke works and while eating found sharp bones in our food which you normally would not expect in a poke bowl? Kinda disappointed because the food tastes great otherwise; and no compensation is given to us either even with the photo evidence

Tried this place for the first time, wanted something "different". Food was fresh and the employees worked fast. I will say, the portion sizes aren't the biggest (got about a teaspoon of Edamame as a frame of reference) but when it's all combined, it's a pretty filling meal. Have the option of rice or noodles as your base with toppings, with upcharges for Avocado etc. If youve never had poke, . Think of it as deconstructed sushi. Overall, I feel like the quality and value balanced out. I went for the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. Was delish!

Let me start by saying that ordering this with a hangover was one of the WORST things I could have ever done. I have wanted to try this food and while it was really good, it didn't sit well with my situation at the time. I loved the flavor of my poke bowl and miso soup. I would definitely try this again on a day where I feel 100%. We ordered through Uber eats and it got here super fast and packaged nicely. The poke bowls are a really good size for the money. Lots of protein so you're not getting ripped off there. You can also mix and match your base so I was able to do half rice and half noodles.

I went here with my coworkers. It is in an upcoming location as there are new shops opening up. You have a choice of bowls there is medium which is a choice of 2 meats or large with a choice of 3 meats. There is a custom bowl you can order as well. I got the choice of 3 meats for $13.00. I chose the salad, but you can choose rice or burrito. You can choose any topping you like, but they just give you a small portion like a spoonful. Overall, the poke salad bowl was awesome and spicy. The fish was fresh and good. My wife will definitely enjoy this place, but it is not as good as the one in Folsom.

1.5* I would not come back. My friend and I came and attempted to do a pickup, but unfortunately their phone app did not work for us to order, so we needed to go in to order. We ordered our food to-go, so cannot speak on the dining in experience, but the establishment itself looked clean. Unfortunately, since the focus is on the food, pokeworks fell short. My friend and I both ordered the large poke bowl each. The proteins we ordered were shrimp, salmon, spicy salmon, and tuna between the two of us. Out of the poke places we have tried, we both agreed that the fish here was the fishiest (not good) we have ever had. This typically indicated that the fish is not that fresh. We usually devour our poke bowls because we are big poke fans, but this one, we struggled with and did not end up finishing. This was not due to the portion size either, the large poke bowl here ended up being comparable to a regular at other poke places that we have been before. I would not recommend, and would not return.

The lady was courteous, patient, and helpful. Got my order at 12:33. It took 25 minutes, which isn't bad for a decently substantial order made to order. I used to make the drive to order from their original location. Unfortunately, this spot is not like their original location. I'm disappointed. We ordered 3 combo plates, spam musubi, and fries. The fries were soft like they were undercooked. Flavor was lacking. Spam musubis were good and about the only thing I would order again from here. The combo plates were pretty gross. It was SWIMMING in grease. By the time we got home, the rice had soaked up a lot of the grease so the rice was all greasy. Still, there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the plate. I tried to savage as much as possible, but the rice just felt like I was eating grease. See pics for reference.

The coconut shrimp on my order were medium sized with a coating that was not too thick and had good coconut flavor. The rice had a buttery flavor with a hint of coconut which made me wish I was not too full to finish the entire portion. Highly recommended and I hope they open one in my area.

The cashier who helped us was really nice and gave off small family business vibes. Ekolu Plate ($18.29) + Teri Steak ($1.99): We got the Da Big Boy plate to share which comes with 3 meat choices, rice, and a side. We went with pulehu chicken, katsu chicken, and teri steak with white rice and mac salad. The katsu chicken was the best, followed by the teri steak, then the pulehu chicken. If I come back I would just get the katsu chicken plate. The teri steak was okay and the pulehu chicken was lacking flavor, though it is probably the move if you are watching what you eat. The mac salad was addicting and did not feel or taste heavy at all. They were also nice enough to let us try all their sauces including teri, katsu sauce, spicy mayo, and yeobo, but none of them really stood out. P.O.G. The flavors are solid, portions are good, and that's the main reason I keep coming back. That said, today's experience was a little disappointing from a service standpoint. While waiting for our food, I noticed someone who appeared to be off-shift (or at least not in uniform) preparing a plate for herself in the kitchen area. She wasn't wearing a hairnet, and from a customer's perspective it looked unusual and raised some questions about food handling standards. The situation became even more awkward when my partner and I sat at an available table, and the same person later told us she had been sitting there because she left her drink on it. What made it confusing was that she had been in the kitchen making herself food, so it didn't really seem like the table was actively occupied. We moved, but the interaction felt a bit unprofessional. The food itself was still good, which is why I'm not leaving a lower rating. I just hope management pays a little more attention to the customer experience and how staff interactions are perceived from the dining room. I'll likely return because I enjoy the food, but today's visit left me a bit disappointed with the service side of things.

It came with 7 shrimps which felt a bit light for the huge portion of buttered rice underneath. The Sweet and Spicy and Butter Garlic were both good but the Lemon Herb was just alright with a pretty mild flavor. The macadamia nuts were cut into bite sizes and were an interesting addition to the rice but I don't think they added much so I wouldn't get them again. The toasted coco flakes on the other hand were delicious and added so much flavor. The plate also comes with a side salad and your choice of dressing so we went with ginger and I actually loved the salad more than the rice. The buttered rice had a lot of spices and herbs but the flavors were still surprisingly subtle. We also added a single Coco Shrimp Taco ($3.50) which is basically a coconut shrimp taco and it was actually more flavorful and tastier than the plate. I wished we had gotten another one.

Even though the employee had yet to interact with me, I am prompted for a gratuity. The photos showcasing the menu items were not helpful. For instance, the photo for the Kalua Combo showed a chicken dish and Kalua Pork. When I was prompted for a chicken item, there were no photos. I could not select the chicken shown in the entree. Unlike the online menu which included Teriyaki Chicken, I only recall BBQ Chicken and Chicken Katsu as options. Fortunately, I opted for the Chicken Katsu. For my beverage, I chose a Hawaiian Sun canned drink. My order was served within 9 minutes. The service already did not match the gratuity. When I asked about my drink, I was pointed to the display case by the kiosk. Sadly, beverage delivery was neither one of her responsibilities nor included service. On their menu, "veggies" was included in various entrees. Veggie would have been a better description as the only vegetable was cabbage leaves. The cabbage was placed underneath the chicken and pork. The water from the cabbage caused the bottom portions of the meat to be soggy. Due to being breaded, the chicken was not as affected as the pork. Of the items served, I enjoyed the macaroni salad the most. It had plenty of flavor. The Kalua Pork which were not soaked in cabbage juice had an okay taste. Not only did the breading on Chicken Katsu provide flavor, it protected the chicken meat from being soggy. While a fork was served with my food, I had to grab a knife from the dispenser. The Chicken Katsu could have been eaten with a fork alone; the cabbage would have been difficult.
