Amazing Mexican style seafood that brings authentic Mexican flavors to the countries biggest inland metropolitan area with no access to an ocean. Dinner for two. Service was friendly. The quality of the food was not comparable to their Casa Linda location. We felt the quality of food at Casa Linda was exceptional. Started with some hush puppies, which were OK but really hard. Had the shrimp and catfish combo with onion rings and a side of coleslaw and the shrimp and oyster combo with the same sides. The coleslaw was pretty good as was the small catfish filet. Although nothing to write home about either. The shrimp was tough and overcooked. The onion rings were also a big disappointment not near the crispiness or freshness or flavor of the ones I had at their Casa Linda location. In both locations, the sides they give you are never consistent. For example, one combo had cocktail sauce (which was still frozen) and the other combo did not. This used to be one of my spots but since they are growing by leaps and bounds, the customer service and quality has gone down. There is one bartender that does not give the best service and caters to similar likeness so be prepared. They over cooked my crab legs and because it was a struggle to eat them especially when you don't have the proper shellfish tools so I tried to explain this to the GM (Ben) and he proceeded to tell me how expensive the crab legs are instead of talking with his cooks. I have been dining here since they opened several years ago,but apparently they do not appreciate repeat customers. Food is decent but just don't order an expensive item and complain about it and don't expect good service regardless of a generous tip. read more

how have i not reviewed this place before now. its in the somewhat regular rotation for Friday night seafood. the place is cavernous and loud when packed. the food is reasonably priced for seafood - there's a high potential for spoilage, etc if customer v inventory doesn't match up in a timely manner. the menu selections are broad and varied. there are grilled veggie options when you have to take a break from fried-everything. it takes a bit of an effort to accumulate all the parts to build your own cocktail sauce, but it can be done...you just have to pester the counter staff to get all the parts prior to having your food delivered to your table so you can be ahead of the game. all in all, a comfortable place for seafood in the Richardson area. read more

First of all- this is the best seafood boil I have EVER had! All of the gluten free options are clearly labeled on the in store menu. I got the medium and when I tell you it is flavorful- that is an understatement! I also have celiac disease and did not get sick. My fiancé loved his burger (he doesn't eat seafood and is very picky)! The prices are very fair and the drinks are generous. We are considering going back today! I came to have lunch & ordered their shrimp cocktail which included TONS of fresh seafood from shrimp, oysters, octopus, fish. It was average but the cocktail sauce definitely could use a bit more seasoning. The cocktail lacked el pico de gallo that takes it to a whole different level in the flavor aspect of it. 4/5 I also got the aguachiles in salsa verde and it was SO SOUR. It tasted as if they used those limes that are about to go bad. I asked for a side of limes and not to my surprise I saw that they indeed probably used these sour limes to make the salsa. It was not spicy which kinda bummed me out, I ended up putting in Worcestershire sauce in attempt to calm down the sourness and that helped a bit. 2/5 The service itself was great, really attentive and the ambiance is very fun and lively. This is the go to place if you would like fresh seafood in a family environment that isn't stuffy. Came across this jewel about a year ago and have gone back on a regular basis. The seafood is always cooked perfectly whether it's fried, steamed, or broiled. My go to dish from here is the whole red snapper which is not advertised on the menu but they have it daily. The Mexican fried rice is blow your mind good especially the combination version with chicken and gulf shrimp. They do not offer full table service but when you order then find a table and they will bring the food out to you. On weekends they have a live band and free valet parking. Had never noticed this place before but today I was in the mood for some salmon...as I often do, decided to trust my fellow yelpers and give it a go. Intended to dine in, but quickly realized it was pretty busy (my bad for going on a Sunday). When you pull in to the front from the expressway, there's a valet station. All the spots in the front are valet-only, but if you drive through to the back, there's plenty of self parking there with only a quick walk around the building. Decided to order takeout from my car. Online said my order wld be ready in about 15 mins and that was accurate. Service was a bit slow at the walk up counter as i had to just stand there a good 5 or so minutes before someone bothered to acknowledge me. I was then handed my food without a thank you or any type of interaction as the server just silently walked away. I Got the pineapple salmon... fish was a little overcooked and the salmon itself didn't have any of the sauce on it, but the veggies had enough to make it work as I swished it around. Sauce flavor was delicious and definitely the star of the meal! Without it, my salmon was a bit dry. Overall, food was good enough for me to try it again and see if today was the norm. I unfortunately was not really a fan of their seafood. I ordered a dozen of oysters and 2lbs of crawfish. The oysters were deep rinsed, very bland, and whoever shucked them got a lot of excess shell pieces inside the oysters. I had to load them up with dalt & sauce to getvsome kind of flavor and be super careful when eating them. I also got the crawfish, which were over cooked. The sauce that comes on the crawfish was honestly flavorless but very spicy (if you like heat). I ended up dipping my crawfish meat in hot sauce they had on the tables which was better than nothing. Finally found a good cajun spot in North Dallas area. I used to enjoy going to Hook Line and Sinker up near Preston & LBJ but don't want to make the drive to uptown for my canjun fix. Fish n Tails has a similar menu, but its much bigger space and when I was there they had live music which was cool. Had the ceviche, which was excellent and the fried shrimp, shared both plates which is more than enough food. They have a valet stand which is free, but you can pass it by and self park in the back parking lot. At the time I went there was no line, but as soon as we sat down a huge line formed almost out the door. I was able to order more food from the QR code on the table and the food came out in a few minutes. There's also a full bar, if you need drinks you can bypass the counter and just order from the bar. read more

Again, no idea how that could even begin to happen. The oysters taste like they came straight out of Galveston's muddy waters. Just dirty. My boyfriend got a chicken sandwich (doesn't eat seafood) and the chicken was as thin as a piece of paper. A little thicker than paper, but you catch my drift. This seafood restaurant located in downtown Garland is pretty decent. If you want to get tasty, made quick seafood, this is the place to go! I ordered the calamari, crawfish, fries and hushpuppies with my friend. As soon as you walk in you place your order and wait to be seated then a server will bring your food. Overall everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. You can get extra sauce on the side for dipping the seafood which is free of charge. You go to the front and order, then they bring you your order to your table. Food was really good: + Oysters: large, plump, and very fresh. Came with plenty of fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce with it. + Fried catfish: perfect coating that was light and crispy and not overly battered like many places.
