Fresh, filling, delicious, customizable. I got the two protein sushi burrito (about $13-14 after tax). My only nit is I wish the ingredients were distributed better - they were sort of clumped on so I'd get like a huge bite of ginger in the middle. Located in a small industrial area.

Poke Burrito - Regular (2 Proteins)

I've been to this location several times, and this is the first time I've had the poké prepared as a burrito. I chose shrimp and salmon for the protein. For veggies, I added cucumber, red onion, green onion, and carrots. Spicy mayo is always my sauce of choice. The burrito was delicious. Pokeworks has fresh quality ingredients, and I'll continue to return to this business. I just wish it was closer than 30 minutes to my home.

Again I came here for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint! I would recommend selecting your own ingredients if you are familiar with eating poke, if not they do have pre selected bowls that are pretty good! I feel like they did a good job of separating peanuts/tree nuts and directing me through the selection process. Overall this is a very solid poke place, I would just recommend more sauce on the side but I like things a little saucy

A decent stop, overall not the best I've had but not a bad option. The staff was great and very helpful! The inside of the store was nice and the food was pretty okay. My main qualm was with the rice base, it wasn't the sticky rice consistency I'm use to, the sauce options left more to be desired- like a basic spicy mayo or eel sauce though it's possible I missed those- and the toppings had a good range but not great. Overall if you're looking for a good spot around Troy it's not a bad choice, I'm just picky with Poke! Bonus: the prices are really decent!

I mean the food was pretty good on and off the past few years. But holy cow look at that spam musubi. Inflation must have hit the spam market pretty hard. Just make them at home yourself.

Spicy ahi tuna bowl -size regular for $10.95

This is my first experience with poke. I have heard about it for so long and I have been dying to try it. I am definitely hooked! It was so delicious and I can't wait to go back. I want to try all of the signature bowls and then eventually make my own bowl and add all of my favorite toppings. This time I had the spicy ahi tuna! I love spice! If o had one issue is that I would love it to be even more spicier. I also didn't like that bottled water was $2.50. I could buy a whole case at that price! I'm actually going to buy a case of water and keep it in my car (at least through the winter months), just for occasions like this when the bottled water Is too pricy for me.

    Build my own bowl

Ended up getting some carry out from here for our dinner. It's right next to the great Greek restaurant. I like that you can build your own bowl, burrito or salad here. Pick up to 3 proteins. 1/2 of the bowl is rice, keep that in mind. My hubby ordered the preset Signature ginger chicken bowl, he ordered it just as it is listed on the menu. I built my own with tofu, chicken and crab salad and added edamame, sesame seeds, green onions, cucumbers, onions and the sriracha aioli. My build my own bowl was tasty and all of proteins, veggies and the sriracha aioli all melded well together. My hubby enjoyed his sweet ginger chicken. I still liked my build my own over their ginger chicken, way better. The ginger chicken does have some spicy kick though.

Since I know how to make my own #Poke . We rarely go out for this stuff. BUT since our out of town guests we're fancying it. @pokeworkstroy it is then. The Poke was pretty good and hella fresh. We got the large #Albacore bowl which was super good with the 3 scoops. Our side #MisoSoup was interesting with the garlicky floaty balls, but still delish. The #SpamMusubi was also divine. I'd definitely eat here again if given the chance. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

Poke in the Midwest. Not the most appealing thought for a self-proclaimed poke snob who spent years in Hawaii eating fresh caught sashimi grade ahi and salmon. With that in mind, beggars can't be choosers, and my craving for poke was enough for me to give Pokéworks in Troy a chance. Pokéworks offers good modernized poke suited to mainland tastes. Although the fish isn't sashimi grade, it tastes fairly fresh. My Shiso Salmon bowl with ponzu sauce was light and refreshing. The Hawaiian Classic Bowl came with ahi and more traditional toppings including Hawaiian salt, seaweed, roasted sesame oil, and sesame seeds. The large size is very filling, and there are a myriad of toppings to customize one's bowl. Check-in on Yelp and receive a free Dole Whip with li hing mui powder. Dole Whip is the best soft serve I've ever tasted, and I'm glad to see that Pokéworks carries it. Pokéworks' version lacks the tanginess of the authentic Dole Whip found on Oahu, but it comes close. There is also miso soup and garlic spam musubi for sale. Service is friendly, and the restaurant is bright, inviting, and clean. It is located in a new strip mall with ample parking. Pokéworks is a godsend for fans of Hawaiian cuisine. Where else in the Detroit metro area will you be able to find poke, Dole Whip, and spam musubi in one place? I can now get my poke fix without waiting a year for my next trip to Hawaii.

Mostly a carry out crowd here. We were the only ones inside during the hour. It felt a bit like we were being watched and observed the entire meal, since we were the only ones. We ordered the chicken shawarma with hummus instead of rice, a chicken kafta with hummus instead of rice, a small fattoush and a large fattoush salads without pita. Both dinners come with lentil soup. The salad was refreshing and flavorful. I liked the dressing. More lettuce and less cucumber would have been better for me. Still quite enjoyable. The pickled veggies were so yummy. Nicely pickling and seasoning to it. Not too tart and super flavorful. Owners are both friendly, attentive and accommodating too. Their kids are in the shop hanging out. The chicken shawarma meat was a bit dry. The owner said it was dry since it was the inside and end of one shawarma on the spit. They change it every 4 hours or so. The chicken shawarma had nice flavor to it. The chicken kafta meat was moist and pretty good, flavors were quite subtle. Both meats were good with their garlic sauce and hummus. Their hummus is so smooth. Service and food were both pretty good.

I ordered the "Double Trouble" -- French toast loaded with cookie dough, Oreos, Nutella, and chocolate sauce. Let me just say... that dish is a train straight to diabetes. In all seriousness, it was absolutely delicious and indulgent, but definitely on the overly sweet side. If you have a serious sweet tooth, this one's for you. My wife went with the Classic Eggs Benedict, and that was excellent -- well-balanced flavors and cooked just right. The breakfast potatoes, however, were a bit bland. They were cooked well texture-wise but could definitely use more seasoning. Service was so-so, though it seemed like they were pretty busy, which likely played a role. The location is great -- conveniently about a mile from Woodside Church, one of the largest churches in Michigan -- so I can imagine it gets especially packed on weekends. One important note: restroom maintenance needs attention. With only a single restroom per gender, cleanliness is critical. My wife noticed the toilet seat wasn't clean, which is something that should be addressed promptly, especially in a high-traffic establishment. Overall, the food quality was strong, particularly the main dishes, and we'd likely return -- but there are definitely a few operational details that could elevate the experience.
