I was never a huge poke fan, even when places began popping up all over Southern California, but I have to admit that this place was pretty good. Lots of toppings and options to choose from so that you can make your ideal meal. I had a poke ball with sushi rice and kale noodles. I chose ahi tuna and scallops for the protein. The sriracha aioli sauce had just the slightest kick to it and I thought it was delicious (and I'm a total baby when it comes to spice). I always include diced mango in my Bowls when I get poke and their mango bits were sweet and yummy. The place is small but clean and the staff is really helpful. My friend and I checked in only to find that their dole whip machine was empty or not working. Kinda bummed about that so I'll have to come back and see how it compares to Hawaii's dole whip and Disneyland's version! The staff were apologetic and let us grab a free drink instead, so I can't complain much! I'll be back if I ever get a poke craving, or at least when I want a dole whip in the middle of winter! read more

I was very excited to try this place as I've been trying to find a good poke restaurant in troy however it just wasn't my favorite. I'm a big spicy mayo and eel sauce fan - but there was no eel sauce and a spicy aioli instead of spicy mayo which was a little disappointing to me. The tuna and salmon just didn't seem like they were the best quality, and the spicy aioli just completely overpowered the bowl so I ended up just tossing it. The rest of the ingredients were fresh and tasty, I just think me not enjoying some of the flavors was more of a personal preference. Shooooot this place is HELLA good! Finally a legitimate Poke place. Many toppings (really loved the kale noodles, lotus chips, and Pokeworks classic sauce), superb presentation of the food, I loved how they actually MIX THE SAUCES WITH THE POKE before putting it in your bowl, and high quality ingredients. The decor inside is modern, the facility is very clean. Workers friendly and helpful/ knowledge to answer questions. Overall a really good food experience. My only comment is the pricing (it's a bit much), but for poke I guess you can't really have it cheap. Solid 5/5! Definitely will come again. read more

Yes!!!!!! Finally!!!! I was so happy to find out pokeworks is finally in Michigan!! I used to go to get this for my poke cravings in nyc and was super excited that I get to have this once again! I have been coming here religiously with my poke buddy every week! Nothing else can satisfy my like bowl cravings! I used to be a full on sushi rice lady but since I have learnt of the kale noodles, decisions have been tough... HOWEVER you can do half and half!!!! So best of both worlds. I usually get the 2 protein bowl and make my own. Which is sort of nice when you know what flavors you like and stuff, if you're new to it and cautious there are other things on the menu they have to help you get into the world of poke! Suggestions of sorts of what goes well with what. For me: it's always salmon + a type of tuna. Ahi tuna is pretty popular but the other one is also seasoned really well and does hit the spot. I put almost everything in and they are really generous with their portions so it's a +++!! I mix 2 sauces (sweet chili gochujang + umami sauce) with wasabi on the side to mix - I am a sucker for spicy food (I also do not skip on the jalapeños) They also have pineapple soft serve, which we had a taste of and it is super delicious!! OH THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! I will be back time And time again. I was a first timer and they really explained and let me try everything. The restaurant was clean and plenty of seats. Even the manager was there and did his part. Everything tastes and looked so fresh. It's more expensive then your regular quick food (not fast food filled with fat but quick healthy) but worth every penny. Plus it's fish so that puts the price up. Granted, the employees are super friendly (and I know they're still fairly new), but each time I had a different person build my bowl -- the signature Shish salmon -- and each time they had to re check menu multiple times to see what to put in there. I love Poke fish. Its a nice meal when you want something fresh and light. This place, when it first opened, was really good. I liked coming down to Troy and eating here every now and then. I ordered takeout today and I was surprised. I got the "Make your own" version. The salmon tasted like it was "ice burnt" (To summarize, it tasted like old ice cubes and it made me nauseous) and the rice was super chewy and clumpy. I have cravings for poke every now and then and this place always does a solid job of filling that craving. I can't say it's the best poke I have ever had but it's definitely good and fills my need. It is super easy to order online and place your order and oftentimes the food is ready quicker than expected. They have a nice variety of options to pick from when it comes to customizing your bowl. I have also seen that they have seasonal specials with different flavors which I feel is pretty unique for poke places. Out of the times I have been here I have always had good experiences and the food has always been solid. The pricing isn't too bad either which I know can get pretty expensive when it comes to fresh fish. Overall score 3.75/5 This place is solid. I like the ingredients and concept. This seems like a new trend to the metro Detroit area since I see Poke shops popping up left and right. The ones in south Florida and Dallas are really good and very well set up. I have to admit I came here wanting to try the Spam Musubi since I wanted to compare it to Cafe Immortelle. The Musubi here is a little on the sweet side, not much but there is a hint of it, probably from the sauce they use. I like the garlic they put in the Musubi. Pretty good but not great. So since I didn't want to walk out with just Musubi I wanted to try the Poke Bowl so I ordered the shrimp and scallops bowl with Tuna. I don't have much to complain about other than the Tuna being a little chewy. If it's good grade tuna it would be super soft but this one wasn't...maybe it hardened a bit from the sauce it was in? I would come back if I was craving Poke, but I probably wouldn't drive out of my way again unless I was really craving this place. This was one of those places that after you entered you wanted to turn around and leave but your family is expecting this food so you just go with it. All the fish is just laid out in trays like a buffet and wasn't appetizing to look at, let alone eat. The staff all seemed like teenagers that hate their jobs more than anything. The girl making our food wasn't very friendly and she said "sh!t, what did you want again" to us. I don't mind swearing but it's a little unprofessional. She was frustrated too that I wanted to add a kids bowl to my order chase I didn't mention it right a way. Honestly, I couldn't even finish eating it. It wasn't good. I don't understand the amount of stars this place has. My family and I are all sitting here waiting to see if this place gives us food poisoning or not. read more

Location : with construction , it's a little hard to find. Food : I got the bowl. I loved the tuna and the assortments that you get to add into the bowl is plenty. The siracha aioli is delicious! Atmosphere : it is a smaller establishment but it has a nice welcome to it. There are limited amount of tables, so sometimes I get it to go when they are busy. OMG. wow. I've never tried poke before so I have nothing to compare against but this place just does it right. So much so that I've gone twice in the last two weeks. It's a chipotle style type of place/fast casual. You can create your own bowl/ salad / sushi burrito / etc. their ahi tuna is so fresh and delicious. They have so many different toppings to chose from - for any taste bud - sweet to super spicy. The employees will help you create the best flavor for your bowl. The sea weed salad is one of the best I've ever had. It's so fresh and doesn't have that weird taste that some sea weed has. They are not shy with their potions either. Fish and rice were good, toppings were delish (tho I am a little heartbroken that tamago is an up-charge), but the original sauce was a little so-so. I think it was probably less than 20 minutes from the time I ordered to the time it was at my work. The bowl was absolutely outstanding. So flavorful and fresh. And damn, I've been here like 6 times and still can never redeem my check in offer from Yelp for a free Dole Whip. Every time it's either "oh the machine isn't working" or "we're out" or the other day it was "I think it's done for the season". My dream vacation to Hawaii got canceled this year thanks to Covid, all I want is some Dole Whip and I get teased every time I go there. I've been here a couple of times now, and it was fantastic. Nice selection, excellent quality fish, and they aren't skimpy with the toppings. You can get your poke on rice, quinoa, kale noodles, salad or wrapped in a burrito. I've done the kale noodles and quinoa, but have been side-eying the burrito. By far, the best poke spot in Metro Detroit area! I am a such big fan of poke. I eat poke at least twice a week. I make my own poke at home. I ate poke every day when I had honeymoon in Hawaii. I have lived in South Pacific for years. So, I know what really good poke is. This is as good as poke can be knowing that I live in Michigan. I had wonderful meal for $10. I know I will have to spend at least $15 per person if I make my own at home. I can't even get that many toppings at home. Pokeworks has by far the best options for toppings compared to other competitors in this area. They even had kale noodle option. I got to choose a half brown rice and a half kale noodles. The only downside was the sauce was a little bit too salty for me. Server actually asked me how much sauce I wanted. I told them medium. I think I will ask go lighter on sauce next time. I love the fact than they serve spam musubi here. My kids loved it while my husband and I enjoyed our poke bowl. So, I didn't have to worry about what to feed my children. They gave two cute sample cups for their pineapple ice cream. It tasted like Dole whips. It could be a nice treat for children after the meal. Fountain teas were wonderful as well. I just downloaded their app. It looks like you can earn rewards and get free drink when you sign up. You can even order ahead of time with apps as well. Been looking for a new poke place ever since sushi coupe closed down. I tried kaku sushi in birmingham but it wasnt as good, small portions and expensive. So i decided to give this place a try since its brand new. I placed an order on their app and it was quite easy to use. I got my order very quickly around 10 mins. I got the lava bowl with tuna and salmon. It has 3 levels of spicyness to choose from and i chose the hottest one. From a guy that loves spicy food, this was quite spicy but it was flavorful. And the portion was generous. For $12, this might be my new go-to plce for poke bowls. I have to come back here again before giving it a 5 stars read more

I would take a look at the menu before coming in as we they offer a super large and eclectic assortment of toppings. I found the staff to be pleasant and patient. I ended up with the sweet ginger chicken and my wife got the Shiso Salmon. Both were surprisingly satisfying and filling.
