They give you large portions and crab meat comes in two versions: regular and spicy. The menu is quite varied with sushi rolls, hand rolls and baked sushi .

Suchhh a good poke spot. I wanted something light and healthy for the gym so this was such a great pick. I got the regular poke bowl with: 1/2 salad+ 1/2 rice, salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, ginger, cucumber, edamame, crab, spring radish, seaweed flakes, crunchy onion, eel sauce, garlic ponzu, and miso sauce. BOMB. The guy making my order was super friendly and got everything done super quick. It was super empty when i got there which i was shocked about because the quality is really good, they played great music and was a nice spot to chill and eat at. I'll definitely be back.

I love the way the guy working there makes my bowls, I always forget to ask his name but he's always patient and kind. I wish his coworkers were as patient as he is, ESPECIALLY when making someone's bowl. I understand wanting to close and go home but you can taste the love or hate in the food. ENERGY TRANSFERS INTO FOOD, PLEASE DO BETTER!

I was a little disappointed with the online order, theyre missing so many options for toppings like sesame seeds, crispy onions, i asked for edemame, green onion and spicy mayo and NOWHERE TO BE FOUND! Definitely not pleased with this online service i didnt have enough time to walk in and order in person now im upset my order wasnt made the way i asked for it..

Sushi/Poke are a must for me & this is one of my favorite spots for it. I have been coming here since I moved to Ontario and the workers there would definitely tell you so. The inside is always clean and the service is always on point. The quality and price are one of the best in the area. When I eat out, it's usually always here. It also helps that it's really close to home. If you love sushi and poke just as much as I do, you will absolutely enjoy it.

I haven't had good poki in the IE in a while so on my way home from West Covina, I went on yelp to see what I can find and Poki & Maki came up! I did thing it was a bit pricey but I figured it would be that anywhere we go. I ordered two regular bowls which come with 3 proteins. They do hefty scoops of the proteins and rice which is why the price makes sense. Next time I would maybe try the small since I did have some left over! Overall the poke was really fresh and would definitely come back! The service was great too, the girl helping me was very nice. It was empty but they had indoor seating. I think this place is a gem in Montclair!

Poke & Maki is a solid option for good poke. Staff are nice enough. Service is pretty quick; it honestly just depends on how fast people are when picking their options. The interior is clean, nicely decorated, and has a good amount of indoor seating. A single stall (clean) restroom is available. Parking is easy as they have a shared private lot in a medium-sized plaza. Noise level is mild, but could be moderate if they're busier. The poke is great! They have a good amount of protein and topping options, and everything looks and tastes fresh. The protein is all tasty; though, the spicy salmon is not spicy at all. They aren't overly generous with portions, but even a small bowl's overall serving size is satisfying. Pre-made poke bowls, rice bowls, and sushi rolls are available. They also offer various bottled drinks and some simple desserts. Prices are fair; they're actually cheaper than most places. Overall, they are worth a try if you're in the area!

Disappointed. It looked ok but it didn't taste fresh. The sushi rice is too sour and lack of topping options.

poki & maki is a good option for poke in the IE! i got the salmon, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna. they gave soooo much my bowl was actually huge! the fish quality was good, but it was really overpowered by the spicy mayo sauce. i was under the impression that it would be more like a sriracha mayo but it was very heavy on the mayo and not enough on the spice. next time i'll probably try a different sauce!

Bowls looked super fresh and colorful. I don't really like seafood so I can't judge the taste of the crab but everything smelled and looked great. The spam musubi is good just wish the rice was seasoned better. Without any sauce or ponzu it all tasted a little bland.

This place is so good. I'm a poke snob (lived in Hawaii for 20 years) and a lot of SoCal poke places are poor substitutes. The fish here is fresh, tasty, and I although I find some of the toppings weird (pico on poke?) it is the closest thing to Hawaiian poke I've had since moving here a year and a half ago. They also have really good baked bowls, my husband and I enjoyed the baked lobster and baked shrimp bowls. read more

First time at a "poke" spot but I have eaten a lot of sushi and made a ton of fish and ceviche dishes. I ordered a regular portion of all salmon with half rice / half salad w/ ginger dressing, avocado (they sliced up half an avocado), edamame and two spicy sauces. It was devoured in no time and I was comfortable full all night. Super friendly staff and nice seating. I'll be back soon. read more

Definitely much better than the other poke spots I've been to in Upland! I wish the portions were a little bit bigger, but the fish was yummy and fresh, and the toppings were good as well. The place itself is super cute and clean. Will come back for sure! read more

So my last Poke place is going down hill, so I figured I'd try a new place. Let me tell you that this will be my new location! The staff was extremely friendly. (That is a big deal for me.) There are a lot more options than my last place. There food is amazing! I can taste how fresh their fish is. (That was a problem at my last location) I like that i have the option to get rolls as well. I highly recommend you guys coming here! read more

some of the best sushi i've ever had hands down. great prices as well. I got the baked lobster roll and a cali roll, lobster was incredibly fresh and it was all very well made. this place could easily charge $20 for that lobster roll alone but i got everything for $18. read more

This place is the only Poki place where I genuinely enjoy every meal I have. They have a wide variety of choices in fish so that everyone is happy when I buy. And their cucumbers are actually cut sort of thick, unlike every other place I've been to. For $10-$12 a bowl, it's also pretty cheap considering the quality. read more

I've tried several poki places in the past few months and most have been really good, poki & maki are among my favorite (with another being in a different county). I came to their soft opening during an evening returning home from work, at first I didn't particularly think the quality of food was great. The next day I decided to try it again as I figured it was still a deal compared to a much larger chain down the street. The quality of food this time was great and has been ever since! I keep going back. The price of the poki bowls are almost the same as the larger chain but you actually get an extra scoop of your choice of protein and more as well different options than other places I've visited before (this varies from one poki place to another). As far as the portions go they are not overly generous but they sure as hell are not stingy and more importantly they are pretty damn consistent with their portions. Overall I think this is a solid poki place. I don't know whether this is just the current food trend or not but I'll be enjoying this for quite a while. I only have one con and I think it can be discounted, as it is extremely nit picky... I don't find the cucumbers to be the most appetizing option which is mostly due to their very thin slices and they don't appear to be very green (maybe it's type of cucumber)? This the only option I would select from other poki places. read more

This is my favourite spot to visit when I'm craving fish/sushi. I go there so often I'm sure the workers know who I am. The food is always so fresh and delicious that I can never get enough. I'm also glad they have an "awards" program. I just registered and input my number, 10 check in's gets you a free small poke bowl! I'm really going to miss this spot and the people once I move. So I'm going to continue to enjoy it while I can!! read more

I came to this place due to ahi poke disappointment. It was decent overall and the girl on the counter needs to smile more ( it helps to feel welcomed). I will need to play around with the sauces a bit more to get the mix right. I will try it next time around. read more

Firstly, they kept bringing the wrong orders to the wrong tables, sometimes fully leaving the order there, getting called over to be told it was wrong, & taking food that had already been left at a another customer's table to deliver it to the correct customer. I wouldn't mention it except that it happened 4+ times during the hour we were there & it's a food safety hazard. Second, they use far too much rice. I get that lots of rice is a way to fill customers up, but truly biting into the sushi was just biting into a mouthful of rice every time. You have to do rice surgery to get the ratio right, & they *will* come over & tell you to finish the rice to avoid charges. Expect to spend a lot of time begrudgingly eating/filling up on the mountains of rice. However - LOVE the miso soup. I'd return for rolls but likely not for regular sushi/AYCE.

Overall, this is the best deal for ayce sushi in the area by far as long as you don't feel like ordering nigiri.

I chose to get the full tea for my party which came with Tea, a scone, jams and cream, lemon curd, soup and salad, sandwiches and desserts. We were presented with a variety of teas to choose from as well. Everything I tasted here was delicious. I enjoyed every last bite and drink. Our server was so kind and helpful.
