Fast and good! This poki place is in the plaza where Target is so there's a ton of parking. Easy in and out. They give you a lot of food for the price - there's a regular bowl or large bowl and the regular is big enough to fill you up. There's so many toppings to choose from. What we really love is how clean, fresh, delicious and healthy Poki Poki's Poke is. Of all the eateries in Encinitas, this is our favorite. Everything seems to be so fresh and high quality. The portions are great, the staff is always friendly and helpful. We first noticed Poki Poki's bowls when someone was eating on their outdoor tables near Best Buy. It looks absolutely delicious, and big. This is the only restaurant we could practically eat at every day and stay healthy, fit, happily satisfied. Even the rice is good. And for the price, we feel it can't be beat. Also - the Encinitas El Camino location has the Poke Burrito. The seaweed is really good quality, and the burrito is huge and pretty terrific. Welcome to the neighborhood, Poki Poki!! I am so delighted that Poki Poki opened up in Encinitas. It is a poki bar from which you can choose your fish, your toppings, and your sauce. I ate at a similar place in UTC and wished we had one in Encinitas. Well, now we do! The fish seemed very fresh and there was a perfect variety of toppings and sauces. The portions were generous and the prices very fair. My only request that could make Poki Poki even better would be quinoa as a base option. I use to love Poki-Poki, but I got very sick there after coming in and eating a poke bowl w of rice and the sushi not being as cold as it should have been. I called and apple to a high school aged young man, who couldn't have been nicer, but sadly he admitted once o asked him why he went in the back to get my rice, that it was from the morning batch. It was basically old rice and the display in the case, when I walked in, was horrible. I actually should have gone w my guy and walked out. Nothing was full and everything disheveled-a complete mess. In all fairness to the nice young man I spoke to, the morning/early afternoon shift had left it that way for the next crew of workers. Not fair to them. They. Should actually all be fired! This is a good business, not only food but raw fish! This isn't taken lightly and I was so ill for a good week! Cost me money, not being able to work for that week and I was violently ill. Not ok. Beware at any place w kids that just have a job to have a job and not care about where they work, or their customers. Sadly, it's like that these days. Unfortunate for the owners and I'm so sorry I have to leave this device but I'm trying to spare anyone else from having to go thru this! PS, this happened last November or so, and I didn't post bc I hate posting negative reviews, but I had to w this one. Pss-the staff is always friendly and the owners as well. I used to look forward to my Poki Bowl from here every Friday night... it was always a good place to bring friends who like Poki... but my last few visits were not so pleasant. Service was not friendly, he literally threw the food in the bowl like he was mad at it... the tray was dirty, the floor was filthy, tv talk show was on loud, uninviting for sure... the salmon had a lot of gristle, the sauce mixture was unlike anything I had before... it's like when their prices went up, the quality went down... they stopped with their loyalty cards. Said an app is coming... this was months ago. I've had quality issues here before like with sauce inconsistencies etc... I can understand nothing is ever perfect... but now it is getting more rare to get that bowl I used to look forward to all week long.... I'm sad. I won't plan on bringing any friends here if I do go back, this is for sure. read more

Horrible service small portions been here before and was amazing this time was such a small portion! With a bad attitude. They say the regular pokey bowl comes with five pieces of shrimp per serving. Went with my family for poke fix. Since I was sharing my bowl with my 2 year old I asked for no spice or very very mild. My son took a bite and screamed and cried because it was so spicy. I thought it was really spicy as well and I usually love spicy food. Many of the toppings and fish are spicy on their own so it doesn't matter if you ask for sauce with no spice because it'll be spicy no matter what in the end. Not very family friendly from that standpoint. You did get a decent portion of food, but I thought it was still a little pricey. Not sure we'll be back, unfortunately. read more

We've been there twice and both times our dining experience was well beyond our expectation. What an amazing value in this world of $20++ meals. For $8 or $9 you eat like a King or Queen. Here's the highlights: Incredibly customers-centric staff and the Poki is simply outstanding. It's both healthy and delicious. And,....you can't leave without having their equivalent of Shave Ice. It's called Snow Ice (appropriately). They have a couple of all natural flavors, Mango and Avcocado. I know the latter seems unusual for a desert, but it received rave reviews for both me my wife. The quality of the ingredients at Poki Poki is just not that great. The fish itself the supermarket quality and the sauces use cheap oils and cheap other ingredients. This is like a fast food version of poke. A lot of places in north county have much better poke like Yoshino in Carlsbad and Fish 101 in Leucadia. read more
