Food was fresh. You can't tell they actually prepare your food once it's ordered. Nothing that I ate today from the Cow-Cow Burger tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for more than a day. It's a bit of a hole-in-wall place that feels geared towards the working class. A lot of the area surrounding Teddy's Deli is industrial so the majority of the customers I saw coming in were workers on their lunch break. Service is very friendly. If you love breakfast sandwiches that make you rethink what mornings are for, this one's it. I ordered the amazing bacon avocado bisquit with jalapeño! The biscuit was buttery and chewy, the bacon tender and full of flavor, and the jalapeños were sweet with just the right kick. The cheese melted perfectly into the fresh avocado, and that egg had a texture that honestly tasted unreal...super soft, rich, and perfectly cooked with a flavor I never tasted in an egg before. The whole thing looked like something straight out of a commercial, one of those "too good to be true" moments until you take a bite and realize it's very real. I always see this spot when I drive past to work. Had to give it a try. Walked in I saw construction workers grabbing breakfast. That's how you know it's going to be good if you see construction workers getting food. I ended up getting The Works burrito. When you order the cashier will tell you how long it will take which is is nice. It took about 15 minutes for my burrito and there was 5 people in front of me. Hidden gem near Disney! It's off the beaten path and thank god for Yelp that I found it! Their prices are not overly inflated like everything else in this area. The location is a non-descript strip of businesses. Which screams a local place. Inside, staff is super friendly and helpful. It's clean and enough space to sit and eat. The focus here is food, not ambiance. We had the tri tip breakfast muffin. So good! Flavors were perfect and balance of meat to egg was spot on! The meat is thinly shaved so perfect for this type of sandwich! Next we had the prime rib breakfast burrito. The prime rib was small chunks and just the right cuts for a burrito. Again, perfect balance of meat, egg, cheese and onions. And it's huge!!! Split a side of hash browns which were perfectly cooked and just crispy enough. Did add a little salt and pepper but that's personal preference. Came with side of mild (green) salsa and hot (red) salsa. Personally we felt the green was perfect for the items we had. Kept seeing the $5 breakfast burrito sign on the way to Disneyland so decided to actually give this place a shot for breakfast Ordered their $9.99 Chorizo burrito and $10.99 California burrito to eat... they were SO hot and fresh off the grill... the meat and burrito itself I'd say were pretty decent. My husband picked up a Turkado sandwich for us to split at lunch the other day. He had previously eaten at their Laguna Hills location and said I would love it. He was right! The sandwich was the perfect size for sharing, we were both full when we were done eating. LOVED their parmesan crusted roll. It was so soft and fluffy with just the right amount of chew, but the unexpected crunchy pieces of baked cheese made this some of my favorite bread ever! The ratio of condiments and veggies to meat and cheese was perfect, I truly have no complaints. He chose potato salad as our side, it was an ice cream scoop sized portion , which we also split. Yum! They use red potatoes, bacon, and it also tasted like there was cheddar and green onions. Almost like a loaded baked potato flavor profile. Bummed this place wasn't around when I worked less than a mile from here about 6 - 7 years ago, this would have been a regular lunch spot for me for sure! It happened, I finally found something that's isn't great at Teddys. The sauce was spicy and was everywhere when I got back to my office for lunch - the bag kept most of it in but the container, my soda and all napkins were soaked. I felt like the spice lever made it hard to enjoy. The noodles themself were taste. Chicken was cut into micro piece and was kinda dry. Veggies had a great texture though. Teddy's is my FAVORITE Sandwich shop of all time. The food is great and the prices are just right. My go-to items are always the Thai Chicken Wrap with the sauces on the side, Ultimate Teddy Slice and their BBQ Chicken Salad. The owner Teddy sold the other two locations in south OC and is now at his latest location in Anaheim. The other locations are not the same anymore without Teddy, so to my surprise I was so happy he is nearby... with his amazing sandwiches and wraps. The staff is always welcome and friendly. I didn't waste anytime offering my review for this amazing spot. I placed the order with Grubhub and requested some alterations to the prime rib sandwich which I hoped would be obliged as some other places seem to overlook my requests. I received my lunch order and all requests were met. I had the prime rib on the cheddar roll with no tomato or lettuce...it was amazing! the fries have that sweet and salty taste that had my taste buds singing. The prime rib was a very good quality piece of meat and the fries were still hot upon arrival. I had to tell everyone around me at work how great this place is. Surprise people. I work for Chapman University and was visiting Chapman Grand near the stadium. Found this place on Google maps and man, it was good. Just a low profile place in a business center and looks a little funk inside, but damn the healthy turkey sandwich with the crusted cheese was amazing and a large portion. I have been back and the quality of the bread, meat and toppings is excellent. Only problem for me is that it is a little far from the main campus, but that might be a good thing for my weight.
