A good poke option for SLO as it's very limited. The bowl is a good portion and definitely fills you up. The price is a little expensive, but it does ensure the quality. ig: @cravingswithcat

Enough choices in protein, sides, toppings to allow you some nice customization choices without it being overwhelming. The taste was pretty good, the portions generous, and service was friendly and prompt. Filling and fairly satisfying. We'd come here again.

WOW!!!!! EACH BITE TOOK MY BREATH AWAY! You know usually there's a bite that is the best and you keep wanting to go back to that bite... NOT HERE!! Every single bite was INCREDIBLE. I got a Poke burrito and housed the entire thing within 10 minutes. The staff was so kind and let me try a few things that I was curious to put on my burrito. Edward and Eylan (might have spelled that name wrong and I'm sorry) you guys are crushing it and THANK YOU!! WOW!! I kept dancing while I was eating because I was full of joy. Small was the perfect size!

Went back for poke bowls. No more tomago! I realize eggs are expensive but come on. At least charge extra for this. In its place they had macaroni salad in its place. Ugh!!

I got a bowl with white rice, tuna and salmon, seaweed salad, cucumbers, corn, green onions, and corn. For my sauces, I got sweet shoyu & ponzu. I thought my protein was incredibly salty, which is interesting because I thought the "sweet" shoyu sauce would nicely balance the citrusy ponzu taste. The protein also had a fishy aftertaste. I also thought my cucumbers had a soggy consistency to it. Though, everything else in my bowl was better. I liked the sweet, fluffy rice taste and crunchiness of the seaweed salad. In addition, my friend thoroughly enjoyed her bowl, as pictured at the top. The service was mediocre at best, as the worker had a cold and apathetic demeanor toward me. Though, every other worker in the store was friendly towards me and my friend. If you're looking for a quick poke fix, this place would satisfy that craving. Though, I would highly recommend considering another spot if you could.

The seafood was fresh and I didn't have to wait for my food because it was made in front of me. I sat on a high table with high chairs, and there was plenty of seating. Make sure that you get a free water or if you preferred bottled water. It was a relaxing experience and I look forward to visit a third time when I'm in the area.

$21.75 large poke bowl is SO filling. 3/12/2022

Legitimately the best poke bowl I've had from Hawaii to New York. As of today, for $21.95 you get 4 large scoops of protein plus 3 sides which can also be protein like spicy tuna or avocado or mac salad. All of the sauces are gluten free and made with tamari! Only a couple items weren't gluten free, such as the fish eggs. I felt like I was waddling out of this place it was so filling the entire day. I absolutely will be back! PS: the don't take cash so make sure you have a card.

Medium Poke Bowl $17 5/5 * 3 meats and 2 sides and unlimited toppings * 5/5 would come again * 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of yellow tail * lots of sides and dry toppings like furikake to choose from Medium Bowl $15 4/5 * 3 proteins: salmon, yellowtail, shrimp * 2 sides: spicy crabmeat and avocado * sauce: sweet shoyu and miso * toppings: tobiko, carrots, corn, cucumber, edamame, sesame seeds, furikake * was craving poke and this place delivered!! * recommend choosing one sauce to make the poke bowl less saucy, unless you prefer otherwise!! My friends added Hot Cheetos to theirs!!

Every time I come here they're consistently good. Large portion and fresh ingredients! The staff are always friendly and helpful too. The medium bowl gets you 3 proteins and 2 sides while the small bowl gets you 2 proteins and a side.

PokiRito is a standout as far as local poke goes, and it's absolutely great for a healthy meal. Depending on how hungry one is, there are three sizes of poke bowls available with a base of either white rice, brown rice or mixed salad greens. I prefer a half rice/half greens combination as a healthier option. One may choose proteins from fresh fish -- Ahi tuna, salmon, albacore, yellowtail or sous vide shrimp / scallops, or cooked selections such as Spam, Kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, beef patty or egg. I have found their fish to always be very fresh & delicious. The sides & sauces selections are wide reaching. I like combining a couple sauces for a wonderful mixture that enhances the bowl. It's great that the sides of spicy tuna or spicy crab, avocado or tamago are available as a regular side, not as an extra charge as at some other poke restaurants. The mix-ins & toppings (veggies, fruits, kimchi, edamame, crispy garlic/onion & many others) selections are nicely varied. Parking is extremely limited and tight, as PokiRito shares the lot with other businesses near campus. The employees are upbeat & friendly as they work as a team to keep the line moving. At this time, they only take credit or debit cards or payment by phone. Prepare your poke bowl with your favorite selections & enjoy! Great job guys, we'll be back!

Oh my! I am so happy I have discovered this place! Living so close to the ocean, I am always craving poke bowls, but it is so hard to find a good one. I thought that until I tried PokiRito. Firstly, this place is a great bang for your buck! I got a large poke bowl and I could barely finish the whole thing because it was so huge and it was still under $20! They give you so much of everything! Then all the different options! They have everything you could possibly imagine to put in a poke bowl as a add-in. It is completely customized and I was almost overwhelmed by all of the different ingredients while I created by poke bowl. Most importantly, all of the fish seemed very fresh and right from the coast. Living on the coast, that is all you can hope for, so I was a happy camper. I will definitely be coming back and am so happy I found my new poke bowl spot!

Having lived in Japan for many years, I'm picky about quality and authenticity--and Poke Chef nails it every time. The fish is consistently fresh, the flavors are spot-on, and the menu offers that perfect balance of traditional Japanese touches and modern poke creativity. The service is exceptional. The team is warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making every visit feel seamless and welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick bowl or settling in for a comforting Japanese meal, they make you feel like a valued guest. Convenience is another huge plus--Poke Chef is ideally located right near Cal Poly and US-101, making it an easy stop for students, locals, and travelers alike. And for all this quality, the prices are extremely reasonable. It's hands-down the best value for delicious poke and Japanese food in the area. Highly recommended--Poke Chef is a standout you'll want to return to again and again.

I know what it's like for someone to come in so close to closing. The order took an embarrassing amount of time to make. I had to ring the bell to make sure my order had been seen and was being prepared. I definitely heard the sound of dishes being washed. I don't know if he was the only one on staff or not. If he was he was cleaning up instead of working on my order. He was obviously annoyed when I rang the bell. The burrito itself was a disaster. Basically just rice and peppers. There are supposed to be 3 different proteins. I found 1. I like spice but the amount of peppers and lack of protein made the thing inedible. $25 dollars (20+forced tip and tax) down the drain. This is not my first time at Poke Chef and I have enjoyed my experiences before this one. Maybe not all "5star" but normal enough that I felt no need to say something. I'd much rather have discussed my disappointment with management by email or phone call but I found no way to talk to them so feel forced to make this one bad experience public. If someone from Poke Chef reaches out to me I will happily remove this review.

The interior has an inviting decor, but seating is limited. There are also outdoor tables along the side the building. The Rock Shoyu Ramen had a good amount of noodles along with three good-sized pieces of pork belly (albeit a bit fatty), pickled fresno peppers & shallots, topped with green onion, an ajitama, umami-rich egg and a sheet of nori. The broth was complex with the duck fat and togarashi; it is noted the broth contains pork, chicken and dasmi. It was excellent. Their Beef Bulgogi Bowl was quite good. It consisted of four char grilled filet mignon skewers (2 pieces per skewer), kimchi, shredded carrots & daikon, pickled red onion, avocado slices, over herbed brown rice and topped with green onions, black sesame seeds, basil and a gochujang glaze. The portion was generous and quite filling. Service was friendly, and our selections were delivered in short order from the kitchen.

Cute little place with lovely decor- very inviting. You order the minute you come inside. It's very casual and when you are done you put your empty dishes away in the back. If you order a drink it's self serve as well. The poki bowl was abundant and I got half rice and half greens, the cubes fish was fresh. I just wished couple of sauces were offered such as eel or teriyaki sauce, ponzu sauce, or spicy mayo sauce on the side. The sauces would have given it the extra life. Now the ramens....complete passes on both. Noodle texture was probably the best thing for both ramens. Both broth was too sweet and it didn't pass for me as a tasty ramen of any sort. Edible...sure, but I wouldn't come back to eat this.

Food was fantastic. Nothing but recommended food wise. Everything tasted so good…read more Service was... sporadic for lack of a better word. It wasn't the same person, or they would switch off so I wasn't too sure who to ask for what. The food was GREAT, however. And when it came down to pay I was just sitting there and had been ignored a couple of times so I wasn't sure if I had to take the check to the front? I wanted to leave and did just that. I received a very mild thanks. So.. uh maybe next time.

This is my first time giving them a try. I did not have a great experience last time coming in…read more.. it resulted in us not being able to get a table because they decided to close early due to having one party. I am not one to give one a bad first opinion without giving them a try so I had to come back and I did. Once again I was pretty disappointed, not only with the good but as well as service. They took an absurd about of time to come and just get our drink order an once they did it just got worse. Took them even longer for us to be able to place some appetizers in. Once we finally got both... disappointing we ordered some jalapeño bombs, they were the tiniest things ever. Two jalapeño's cut in half to make four pieces . They completely forgot about us for almost the rest of the night. There was a group of three who sat in front of us and we watched as they received all their plates. Once our server finally came around to talk to us... it was her telling us if we wanted anything else because it was last call. We mentioned yes we still wanted to order actual plates. She looked confused and completely shocked and replied that " oh you guys wanted to order food " as in she thought we only wanted appetizer and drinks. Which was pretty upsetting considering we did not get checked up on once since we had gotten our appetizer and drinks. (yes we tried waving them down and looking for them to get some food in) We have finally received our food and well pretty decent nothing crazy to them, very small amount for the price as well they weren't wrapped up nicely. Each piece would fall apart pretty quickly. Just left dissatisfied and disappointed as well still hungry. We also were rejected on being able to get the all you can eat bundle because it was too "late ". While we had a table to our right who was doing so as we were sat down. We still ended up leaving before them.
