First off, the rice...the BASE of this Asian dish, should never ever be long grain rice, but it was. The rice was flaky and did NOT pair well with the rest of the ingredients. In Asian dishes, rice needs to be medium (or even short) grain, so the rice sticks together, and you can pick up an entire "clump" of rice easily with chopsticks. Don't know if this was a permanent change, or if someone just got the wrong rice, but it really changed the dish, and not in a good way. Secondly, instead of a lightly fried egg that was still slightly runny, it was hard. Like, cooked all the way through hard. And I know it wasn't due to residual heat from the other ingredients, because it was very rubbery, the way overcooked eggs can get. I do hope this was just a one-time thing, and these are not permanent recipe updates, so I will give it another try and decide from there if I will continue to be a customer.
