This is not a good sushi spot. The miso soup is clearly store-bought, and not from a good store. The rolls kept falling apart, and I know how to use chopsticks so I'm not sure who they got rolling the sush but they need a slap on the face for this. I got the salmon skin roll, the shanty, and mackerel nigiri. Aside from the mackerel, everything was just bland, small and nothing special. Like everything just tasted like carnival cruise sushi made in mass. Except for the mackerel. Mackerel is delicious anywhere. My buddy treated me to thank me for helping him out with something, and after the 2 rolls I ordered, I literally didn't want to order anything else, since nothing was all that special, or good really. Also they don't serve sake. How you gonna operate a sushi restaurant and not serve sake?!? Service also sucked. There were 2 sushi chefs and 1 waitress. Since there's no bar to sit at, there was 0 contact with the chefs. The waitress didn't smile once, was hard to get ahold of (which is crazy for a less than 30 seat restaurant) and didn't refill my water once. The total came to just over $60 for both my friend and I, and while writing this review I realized they charged me for a coke I didn't order. Do yourself a favor, don't come here. Instead, walk across the street to Light and Healthy and have AYCE for barely more cash, with alcohol. I left hungry. Will not be coming back.

Roll Roll exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, the incredibly friendly service stood out. We were warmly welcomed and invited to choose our own seats. Almost immediately, waters and complimentary miso soup were brought to our table--a thoughtful touch! The food arrived impressively fast after we ordered, and everything was absolutely delicious. The garlic edamame was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, the ginger house salad was vibrant and tasty, and the cucumber salad was refreshing. I especially loved the California roll with smelt egg, and the avocado roll was equally amazing. Prices were more than reasonable, especially considering the high quality and the fact that it's in LA. I'll definitely be back for another visit!

Roll Roll Sushi is that rare combination of warm hospitality, culinary creativity, and affordable excellence that makes you want to gatekeep it--but it deserves to be known. This is a small, family-run sushi spot where everything just works. The prices are reasonable (honestly underpriced for the quality), and the service? Outstanding. The owner--who also serves tables--treats you like a guest in her home. She was so kind and welcoming, especially with our kids, that we left feeling like extended family. Food-wise, the sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our kids devoured the avocado and California rolls--no coaxing needed. As a self-declared ramen connoisseur, I have to say: the creamy vegan ramen blew me away. It was rich, balanced, and totally unique. You won't find anything like it in your typical ramen spot. Hands down one of the best I've had--and that includes some heavy-hitters in Tokyo and LA. This isn't a trendy, Instagrammable chain--it's better. It's a place where love shows up in the food, and the owner's kindness lingers with you long after the meal. Bottom line: Eat here. Bring your kids. Order the vegan ramen. And thank me later.

I ordered the lobster hand roll and a spicy tuna hand roll. Both were good but I initially went in because I saw a menu on Yelp had said hand rolls were $4. It must have been really old because the hand rolls are now $7 for the "basic" and $13 for specialty. I like that this place offers free miso soup, though. The service was great! I'd definitely go back. The ambiance reminded me of a small diner.

I love going to Roll Roll because their prices cannot be beat. The quality of the sushi definitely isn't Sugarfish-level, but it's good for a Friday night when you're craving sushi and don't want to spend $50+. The service is also wonderful, and their miso soup is complimentary! I tried the udon, and it really wasn't great, so I'll happily stick to ordering sushi next time! They accept Apple Pay and have convenient parking in the lot in front.

Wonderful family owner business. Not an all you can eat establishment but they have different price points at $7, $13, & $18. I got myself a combo box which comes with California rolls and you can choose two items. I chose the vegetable tempura and the egg rolls. The nice thing about this establishment is the Tax is included in all the prices. They also bring free miso soup with all meals ordered and they have free WIFI. What more could you ask for?! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back soon.

The food here was amazing and very delicious. I got the spicy crab roll and the salmon roll as well as an avocado roll. Let me tell you the sushi here did not disappoint. The service was top-notch and fast and they kept on coming back and asking us if we need anything just always great. They have been open for eight years and I don't know how I've never been to this place before, but I'm sure glad I came with my lovely wife on this beautiful sunny day. The ambiance and vibe of the overall place trendy and welcoming. The bathroom is well kept and clean, which is always a plus. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot so you should stop by sometime and try some of their sushi from roll roll you will not be disappointed. I guarantee you. Definitely bookmarking them in my Yelp Account to make my way back here someday soon. 100% recommend this place.

Not only did they over charge me for free miso soup that they already give as complimentary, they only gave me 2 spicy mayos when I paid for 4. Little ways like this are how some restaurants steal money from you. Was tricked out of $5 because of this.

This place is still good after coming here for over a decade. The weird thing about it is I've always ordered to go but I've never eaten in the restaurant until today. The place is small with about 6-7 (six seeeveeennnn lol) tables in there. It's very clean and the lady greeting and taking orders was very nice and helpful. She got my kids the chopstick helpers and let them go behind the counter to choose their own drinks. The kids dropped their chopsticks and she got them new ones immediately. Very fast and prompt service! It's a small parking lot that can get packed quickly do to it being next to a Mediterranean restaurant, so I can see it becoming a problem during certain hours. As for the food, I ordered the bulgogi plate which comes with rice, salad and miso soup. I also got a lobster hand rolll and a baked salmon cut roll for the kids to share. I thought highlight of the meal was the lobster hand roll! If I would have known it was going to be that good, I would have probably just got a few of those. So, I will be back to grab those on the go. My kids really loved the salmon rolls and actually gave those a 5/5. Lastly, the bulgogi plate was just ok to me. It gave off Panda Express vibes and I'm not a Panda Express person. It wasn't bad but I just wasn't feeling it and maybe it's because I usually get my bulgogi from really good kbbq spots and there's no comparison. I haven't been to Roll Roll in years. Everything is so so so yummy. My favorite is the Oh Baby roll. We always order two because be love it so much. The only thing that was a bit strange is that the restaurant was playing gospel music... I didn't think that was particularly fitting but that is more of an ambiance thing. read more

10/10 sushi restaurant! The staff is always so nice and attentive. The food is very well-priced. Smaller restaurant but we have always been sat promptly! They have good sushi combos. Everything I have tried has always been so delicious. Definitely recommend getting a Thai Tea. read more

Ordered from here today. They forgot to put my salmon salad inside of the bag after reassuring me everything was in the bag. They didn't even try to fix it or replace the food that was missing. This used to be my favorite restaurant never again. read more

The asian lady here talks to her employees rudely and has an angry face and does not make for an inviting environment... Now let's get to the importAnt part.. The service is always great! So welcoming every time. It's well lit with a couple tables inside and outside It's usually cold so I sit inside or get it to go! They're always great check up on you regularly and refill my water before I can ask. For the price when I'm on a sushi budget they're always delicious and come through. I typically get the spicy California and the spicy tuna along with the Albacore lover or the hot night. The Christine onion is also really good. I deff recommend them! read more

Came here on a Friday evening since it had great reviews and our usual spot is currently closed. This is definitely our new go-to sushi place! Heads up that parking is very limited here! They are located in a small corner strip mall, with less than ten (10) parking spots. There are some metered spots along the street near and under an overpass. The lot had a line of cars coming out of it, but we quickly found a spot right near the driveway. We walked up to see a line of about eight (8) people out the door--this was the to-go/meal delivery lines. Only two (2) of the tables inside had patrons, so we were seated right away. The service was quick and attentive! I love the way they lay out their menu! They have rolls broken out by price (Basic Roll $5, Premium Roll $10, Special Roll $14) and there is a wide selection; all rolls can be made into hand rolls. They have standard teriyaki plates, noodles, and a range of appetizers. We started with the garlic edamame ($5) which was SUPER good. I also ordered the Sashimi Combo (12pcs: Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail; $26) and a Spicy Scallop hand roll ($5). The sashimi was very fresh and the pieces were a decent size for the price. The spicy scallop roll was very tasty, and stuffed with fresh spicy scallop, cucumber and rice. Mom ordered the teriyaki chicken and said it was very juicy and was a good portion. All of the food was a great value and quality. We left feeling very satisfied and excited to come back with bigger appetites. I can see why this place was so popular for Friday night dinner! Amazing service! Super tasty! Great amount! The person who took my order was super nice and went far and beyond by calling me to make sure everything was perfect and called me again to let me know that the food was ready! They gave me a great amount of miso soup, sauces, and utensils! Nothing else was needed. Now, the miso soup... it was sooooo gooooood. I thought it was just me, but all my friends were also in disbelief about how great the miso was. The rolls were very tasty, and they had a full amount of fish in each roll. Loved em all. Overall, great food, great attention, great price. Will be back for more for sure. read more

Roll Roll Roll!!!! What an appropriate name for a place the sells sushi. I am familiar with sushi since I practically ate them all my life in SK. This place sells a whole variety of sushi. When I am there, I often couldn't make up my mind. So I always but one order of each. It's all good since my family loves it as well. Their rolls are always fresh. They're always delicious!!! I don't get all the hype about this place. It is cheap,but small portions is why. Parking sucks and it's kinda like the McDonalds of sushi. It works for a quick fix that won't tax your wallet. I'm obviously missing something appealing about this place. If these reviews were based on value per dollar, I could understand the 4-1/2 star rating. Comparing this place to a good sushi bar is like comparing apples to oranges..... there's no way that is 4-1/2 star sushi. It's exactly what you pay for.... cheap prices...... cheap food. Just because the taxes may be presented as no tax, doesn't mean you're not payin em. You just don't see them categorized as tax. But, he's doin something right, just not my kinda place. read more

They r worth the price. Do not expect royalty for $3. Ok you other yelp reviewers? I pay $3 and I get $3 value. I do not get a large roll for $3 and that's fine. $6 roll, delicious, bigger size (average) and worth the price. Pay $6 and you get $6 value in sushi. I haven't had the $10 roll; I should. They give a free soup while you wait. The servers r attentive. Quickly served food and good tasting. Perfect value for the inexpensive sushi. Dinner was coursed out and I was astonishingly full at the end of it all. Yellow Crunch Tuna, Christine Onion, and Salmon Lover are my favorites for both taste and texture. This is our family's go-to place for sushi because you get great food for a great price. Casual yet excellent customer service. I love how they give back 10% of all profits to charity. Makes me feel good spending my money on a quality small business in my neighborhood. Awesome food and service! Just ordered for pickup now and had such a pleasant experience! I typically would drive to Van Nuys for sushi but I'm so glad I finally found a place here in Tarzana! I ordered the 911, Extra Baked Salmon, and a Philadelphia roll. All were delicious! Also the price is unbeatable! I ordered for lunch thru grub hub app. I ordered a basic roll with soy paper and seaweed salad for the side. I opened up the bag and everything is a mess and everywhere. The presentation was rushed and the rolls are coming apart. Whats worse is the sushi doesn't even taste fresh. The seaweed salad is barely there as well. There is barely a serving. What a shame. I come here for lunch about once a week and am very satisfied every time. The price can't be beat given the quality. My go-to is the salmon roll and the spicy tuna. If I'm feeling a bit special I go for the "Oh baby roll". The free miso is always welcome and the hostess is a sweetheart. This is the first place I recommend when somebody asks for good local sushi. read more

This is a nice little spot tucked in the corner of Tarzana and Ventura Boulevard. The chefs and servers were respectful and delivered fast. They were also cool with taking photographs. The selection sounds very affordable but do not be surprised that the meals are quite small. All-in-all, if you've got dimes to spare, this isn't a bad place to get sushi! read more

This is THE BEST sushi spot in the valley in my opinion. Ive been going here for years and I'm always satisfied. My favorite roll is the 911 roll and the garlic edamame. The free miso soup is always a plus! Quick staff and clean restaurant with outdoor seating. Awesome. read more

The food here has to be the worst sushi I have ever had! It got me sick for three days. I would not eat here and I don't recommend you eat here is you don't want to get sick and miss work. I will be reporting this place too the health department as well. read more

Roll Roll is my all time favorite place for a quick Sushi run...the owner and staff are so nice and the food is consistently great. As a Realtor, I eat "on the road" alot. I always enjoy stopping by Roll Roll for a great lunch. read more

Favorite sushi place when in the area. Got greeted with a free miso soup. Selection is very affordable and fresh. Love the 911 and Salmon Lover!! Would have given 5 stars if decor was nicer. Red-bean ice-cream is awesome too!! read more

The sushi rolls were tiny and bland. The waiting staff was horrible, it took 15 minutes for us do get menus and another 10 to order drinks. Each roll was the size of a pebble and was not worth the price. read more
