Poke bowl with ahi, seared albacore, spicy tuna, avocado, seaweed salad / crab sides & wasabi shoyu / ponzu dressing! Yum
    Ali P.

Cesar & Ava went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience! The food is generous and made to order. I really like the mix in options & fish is always fresh, this is my third time ordering here and I deffoo found my place in LB. I got the ahi tuna, spicy tuna, and seared albacore this time. make sure to try their spam masubi - but don't lag they often sell out super quick! Easily one of my favorite menu items.

First time here and I live around there corner. I dont know what took me so long. The lady behind the counter was friendly, answered our question with ease. They had alot to choose from and everything looked very fresh. I had the spicy tuna mixed with regular tuna, let me just say the spicy was spicy, as least for me. The add ins that I indulged in made for a very tasty bowl. My wife added Chili oil and itreally got hot but she enjoyed every bite. Also offer a noodle station, ice creams and some yummy drinks. The have restrooms for customers only. The place is small but quaint, decent amount of tables. I would recommend if your craving poke. You will not leave hungry

The headline is simple: the food is genuinely good, the wait is unreasonably long. Portion sizes felt fair for the price in this area. Two staffers tried to do everything and the bottleneck was obvious. Orders through delivery tablets kept bumping the in-store queue. Bottom line: I'd return for the quality, but only during off-peak hours, or I'd order ahead.

The best build your own poke bowl in Long Beach. They don't skimp portions and ingredients are fresh. All three bowl sizes are generously filled. Many options of proteins, veggies, and toppings like crispy onions and garlic. Great sauce choices you can mix to get the flavor profile of your dreams. Quality poke bowl for less than a meal at McDonalds. They also offer instant ramen and spam masubi.

We visited Long Beach location after a visit at pacific aquarium. The restaurant was very busy that day. They ran out of various popular items like avacado, chicken, baked salmon etc but we ordered from whatever available options we had. They have a sauce combination chart that you can try. Salmon tested fresh and tasted good. They also carry mochi icecream, boba, Thai tea and different soda options. Good place to try when you choose healthy meal

Went out to lunch in Long Beach, and I was craving poke. I haven't had poke since Hawaii. Parking: We found metered street parking down the street and walked to the spot. Ambiance/Environment: It's a small space with some indoor seating and one table outside. It's a very casual spot. Decently clean. Service: When we walked in, we were directed to fill out the order sheet. You'd check box everything you want in your Poké bowl on the order sheet, but you can also order other items from the menu. The worker could improve on her professionalism, but she was quick & efficient. What we ordered: 1) Large Poké bowl - 2 bases, 4 proteins, half brown rice & half spring mix, ahi tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, seared albacore topped w/ carrots, cilantro, corn, cucumber, edamame, pineapple, sweet onions, spicy house sauce, spicy mayo sauce, seaweed salad, crispy garlic, masago, sesame seeds, furikake. Everything tasted fresh! The bowl was also packed. My favorite proteins are the salmon and ahi! 2) Grilled Salmon Bowl - This had a generous amount of rice. I'd prefer another piece of salmon. Though, it was cooked well and the sauce was delicious. 3) Ramen - I noticed they had a ramen machine. We first purchased the ramen at the register and chose our toppings. Then we were given a bowl. It was very easy to follow the instructions! 4) Matcha Green Tea - This was supposedly their popular drink. It was decent .. I'd describe it as mediocre. Definitely not premium matcha. The boba tasted as expected. Pricing: The Poké bowl was definitely worth its price. I really enjoyed my bowl.

I came here for lunch and got the cooked salmon bowl. This was my first time having Poké and I will say it was an interesting taste. Different than what I am used to but not bad. The thing that threw me off was that the salmon was cold. I do not usually eat cold food so I was shocked. The flavors that I got were the house spicy, sweet chili, and sesame oil. The owner was very sweet and very caring. I would definitely recommend this place if you like Poké or like trying something new. The inside is small but very clean and inviting.

Food: is almost like every other poke spot but this place is very generous on there food and doesn't charge a lot like other places that gives you less portion. Service: staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of what sauce to choose from. Ambiance: very simple and modern. Definitely would come here again.

Loved the ambiance the server was super friendly and not stingy on portions. Right across from the hotel. Definitely a place to come when coming to LB. PS don't come within 10 min of closing. It gets mad crazy

Heavy! Large poke bowl no base added 3 extra scopes of fish!
    Devin B.

Poke bar was conveniently located next to my hotel so it was a must that I stop in. It was so good I ate there two days in a row because the flavors were haunting me and wouldn't stop me from craving it. My favorite part of Poke bar is the paper menu that you fill out to ensure your bowl is made exactly the way you want! I ordered up a large bowl with 3 added scopes of fish each time with no base. Yup no rice, salad or chips, just a bowl full of fish and toppings! And I'll tell you what after a long workout I thought I'd demolish this bowl but half way through I was slowing down. The bowl was heavy!! Hands down my favorite meal when I was in town!

Ahi/Tofu bowl with brown rice, seaweed salad etc

Wow! Who knew such a healthy option was here, in between Downtown Long Beach and the beginning of Alamitos Beach. Tucked away but a whole different world when you walk in: it's large, clean, modern looking and you're welcomed almost immediately when walking in the door with a smile. I got an ahi/tofu bowl with all the fixings and I am wildly impressed with the freshness of it all. They took all of about 20 minutes to put together my order and it was ready when I walked in. Will be back!

I felt welcomed by the cool tones of the interior design and layout actually. We waited by the door as a party of two. Not too long after we entered were we greeted by the hosted and seated outdoors, as we requested. Even though it is on fourth street which has plenty of street traffic, it was still a quiet, comfortable dining experience. Every thing on the menu looked and sounded amazing but I planned to try the ramen because I've been craving a good bowl of ramen for a while. I landed on the shoyu ramen with tofu. I really enjoyed the taste of the broth. The flavor and seasoning was soul-healing. I don't usually go with plain chicken broth in ramen but I felt confident in my choice. I was literally happy dancing with each bite. The ramen was so good! My partner went with a spicy order of tonkotsu ramen with chicken, garlic, and black oil sauce. I tried parts of it and it was also delicious! I wanted to try the sushi but did not have that big of an appetite for both sushi and ramen so I opted for the salmon poke tacos. They tasted very savory and the salmon was flavored really well. The temperature and consistency was not too overwhelming for the tacos shell. The service was attentive and not too invasive. We took the check to the counter to pay. I am excited for our next trip here. It is dangerously walking distance for us! But I had heard so many great things about HiroNori that I wanted to try it anyways. My brother especially kept hyping them up, and he LOVES ramen. And I'm glad I decided to try them out! While HiroNori is a SoCal chain, it still feels like a mom and pop restaurant. The crispy rice with tuna was EXCELLENT! Everything you want from crispy rice and spicy tuna. The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. And the pork in the tonkatsu - truly next level. This is probably the best pork I've ever had in a ramen dish. The noodles were also fantastic with the perfect amount of bite. I loved my jammy egg as well. The restaurant itself is smaller, with fun lighting. There is a parking lot which is great. They do not have tipping, instead they have a service charge of a little over 17%. Definitely worth it!

I'm a sukiyaki broth lover, so it's somewhat similar to that taste profile. I like how they also provide garlic and house spicy sauce as it just makes the ramen even better and seals the deal. They also provide watermelon infused water, which was perfect for a warm day out. Although this restaurant is quite small, service was fast and very accommodating. I have been here several times and service plus quality of the food never changes! Seats here don't have any back support but it adds to the modern aesthetic and vibe of the restaurant. I've been eyeing the cucumber crab salad, so I look forward to coming back and trying it next time.

I had those the first time I came and they were delicious the furikake fries were good. Just needed a tiny bit of salt and it would've made them pop a little more. The ramen however...... ouch. The noodles are amazing! Very delicious and love the size and texture. The meat was like forgettable. Like didn't take like anything sadly. Now the broth. That was the most disappointing thing. I honestly thought something was wrong. Literally tasted like water. I remember coming here last time but I could only remember the octopus balls so I gave it a second chance and wow did I immediately remember why I don't come here. Honestly the broth was such a turnoff. The corn side had more flavor than the broth. The service also pissed me off. First like several tables were sat and ordered and our server didn't come to our table. Second we order waters and a beer. Then ordered the fries and the ramen. Tell me why the waters came last. Like I had to ask for them again. Next we got our ramen and it came with a regular tablespoon. Which I didn't want to make a huge deal out of, but honestly that spoon is only given upon request so to get it out right is weird, especially at a ramen restaurant. I noticed every table around us automatically got the renge. I had to ask for the renge. On top of that I had to ask a random server cause our visited our table once to deliver the water and that it's. We had to ask for our check and for a box and for the renge. Quite ridiculous enough for me to complain about it in a review. Literally go somewhere else it's not worth the 70$ when it tastes like water.

Parking is a bit of a game of chance thanks to the tiny lot, so plan accordingly. Once you're inside though, the restaurant is super clean, modern, and the service is fast and attentive. We started with the papaya salad. It was just okay--I'm still trying to figure out why there was a blanket of romaine lettuce casually lounging on top. I ordered medium spice, which turned out to be "medium if you breathe fire for fun." The papaya was also a little more raw than I personally like. The tom kha soup was decent, but the real MVP was the drunken noodles with beef. Those noodles were absolutely swimming in savory goodness and perfectly soft. I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

My family and I were heading to the Aquarium of the Pacific and wanted to find a good dinner spot…read morenearby afterward. I came across this place on TikTok because of their famous Thai tea popsicle, so naturally I had high hopes. First off, we got incredibly lucky with parking. I can definitely see how parking could be a nightmare since the lot is tiny, so consider finding a spot part of the dining experience. When we arrived, the inside was cute and seemed clean. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.
