    1230pm on a Saturday...food still took 45 mins.
    Jon A.

We originally planned to have lunch at A PCH, but after seeing the wait there, we decided to try this restaurant instead because it looked nearly empty. We figured that with so few customers, we'd be able to enjoy a quicker, more relaxed lunch. Unfortunately, that assumption couldn't have been more wrong. After placing our order, we waited approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive. As the minutes continued to pass, I actually started writing this review while still waiting for our meal. During that time, I also took the opportunity to read through other customer reviews. I noticed that several other diners had mentioned similarly long wait times, which made me realize our experience may not have been an isolated incident. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the experience simply didn't justify the amount of time we spent waiting. If you're looking for a quick or even reasonably paced lunch, I'd recommend dining somewhere else. On the other hand, if you're willing to wait 45 minutes or more for your food and don't mind a slower-paced experience, you may still enjoy the meal once it arrives. The restaurant clearly has the ability to produce decent food, but until the wait service and kitchen timing improve, it's difficult for me to recommend it based on the overall dining experience.

Food was good, but the service really missed the mark. We came on a Sunday around 2 PM when the restaurant was maybe half full and still had to wait about 15 minutes just to get seated. We ordered the Tonkotsu Red, which tasted great once it finally arrived, but it took around 30 minutes for the ramen to come out. On top of that, the appetizer we ordered still hadn't even come out by the time we got our food. The food itself saved the experience, but the wait times and lack of service made it frustrating overall.

Went out for a few hours to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we tried out this spot at @2nd_pch I loved the ambiance of @jinyaramenbar right when we walked in. So glad we went at a great time where it wasn't busy and overwhelming. I appreciated the helpfullness of our waitress, down to recommendations and service. The LYCHEETINI was entertaining and delicious! My husband loved the SALMON POKÉ MINI TACOS as much as I loved the CRISPY RICE WITH SPICY TUNA. We both enjoyed the GARLIC RICE that was served on a hot plate that got the rice crispy and yummy. The JINYA TONKOTSU BLACK was devoured by the both of us as well. They have several locations and, make sure you check before you go, but they have happy hour on the weekends and that's a plus right there!

Really I'm pressed by the quality, value, and service of this ramen spot. Tonkatsu black ramen is super flavorful with chewy noodles. Tonkatsu original has thicker noodles and heartier broth which I was actually a bigger fan of. Let's talk about this value pick kids meal though. Chicken ramen, chicken chashu rice bowl, chicken karaage, fries, and ice cream for under $15? Say less. My kid enjoyed it and so did I. They have an app too to reward you with food from accruing points and it's super easy to sign up!

Came here on Valentine's Day with my husband and son. No wait right around 12 so it was perfect! We got seated right away. My husband ordered the black tonkatsu and I ordered the classic tonkatsu. we also ordered the kids meal for our son which was $11. The classic tonkatsu came with a thicker broth that was heavier in flavor and had thicker noodles. I wasn't a fan because I like my ramen broth on a thinner side and don't want the flavor to be too overpowering. The black tonkatsu was much more my speed. It was that familiar tonkatsu ramen that I like with black garlic oil. It definitely had more fixing which was nice for my husband, but I'm a "Chashu, spinach, and nori" kind of gal so the fixings were all scooped into my husband's mouth haha The kids meal was also amazing. There was a small bowl of chicken ramen, a bowl of Chashu rice, 2 pieces of karaage, and fries. On top of that, we had a lollipop and ice cream at the end. It was super filling for $11 and we ended up taking home leftovers. The ice cream was really good though! Definite bang for your buck to come here. We were super pleased with the service as well.

Ambiance: it's JINYA ramen's location at 2nd & PCH shopping center in Long Beach, packed bar and dining room inside, and a patio outdoor Service: the staff members are friendly but very slow, it took about forty minutes to get seated, and then another half an hour to get the food served Food: standard JINYA ramen menu Premium Tonkotsu Red - **** Pork broth, pork chashu, kkurage, green onion, seasoned egg, nori dhied seaweed, red hot chili ol and spicy bean sprouts, served with thick noodles, choice of preference of spice level at 5 out of 10, and it's already pretty spicy, bold taste and chewy noodles, recommend JINYA Bun - *** Steamed bun stuffed with siow-braised pork chashu, cucumber and baby mixed greens, served with JINYA's original bun sauce and mayonnaise, plain taste Price: moderate protons and decent quality, expect $25~$30 per person

I've had Jinya twice, once to go and most recently to dine in. The service was good, but took 30 minutes to get seated at the bar. It seems like they're understaffed on the floor. The 5 piece Crispy Chicken and Premium Tonkotsu Red Ramen with level 3 spice were both very delicious. The chicken was definitely crispy, so I submerged a few pieces in the ramen, which made it more decadent. The staff is friendly & cool and I would return for happy hour. Lastly, structure parking is free for 90 minutes and costs $2 for every 20 minutes after.

12/10/25 - Our server, Chris, had really good customer service and had good energy even though it was the end of the night. I appreciated his honesty when we asked for his recommendations and for what dishes were better than others. I ordered the Chicken Yuzu Shio Delight Ramen ($18.20). I liked how the broth was citrusy and light but the flavor of the chicken wasn't great. I am not the biggest fan of ramen and am rarely impressed by ramen places. The chicken ramen wasn't bad but it didn't make a lasting impression and, in my opinion, was overpriced. My friends ordered the Jinya Tonkotsu Black, one of the most popular ramens, which they said was pretty good so maybe I just didn't order the right thing.

Came here for their $29 brunch special and it was worth the drive. They open at 11AM. Best to go at opening because they tend to get really busy closer to noon. For our party of 12, this worked out well. We made a reservation and was seated as soon as more than half of our party was present. For $29, you get 2 small plates (appetizers) and one bowl of your choice of ramen. We ordered at least one of each appetizer so we can all try. The crispy chicken (karaage) and the pork gyoza were a hit, the Jinya pork belly bun was also good, but what surprised us the most was the brussels sprouts tempura. Not only was it battered perfectly, it was also well seasoned - must get this! Most of us opted for the Tonkotsu Black ramen since this seemed to be one of the only options with pork chashu. One of the best ramens I've ever had... creamy, delicious 20 HOUR broth, perfectly jammy eggs, tender chashu, and just the right balance of flavors. Option to also add $10 for bottomless mimosas with a 1.5 hr limit. We also got a few of their cocktails & Sapporo's. They have a condiment tray for gyoza sauce, hot sauce, & seasoning sauce (so so good). I was too shy to ask if they sold bottles of those because I would've totally bought a few. Good service. Delicious food. Great bang for your buck. Highly recommend.

Great experience, very nice ambiance, and the food was filled with exquisite flavors. I tried the Jinya Chicken Ramen bowl and it did not disappoint. I indulged in a glass of plum wine and it match well with the Ramen bowl. I advice others to stop in and try and you will not be disappointed. The staff were kind and helpful as well. Stop in when you are in town.

Ambiance- 5 The place is sizable, outside seating that includes seating around a gas fire. Inside has tables and a bar below the kitchen. Service was great with the server offering to explain the extensive menu. A great touch to a new customer. Food- 4 overall We came for lunch. They offer lunch specials that are a great deal. Drink, main and a side for $20. Appetizers- 3 Crispy rice w/ spicy tuna topped with Serrano pepper. This was fine but I would try something else on another visit. We also ordered the Jinya Bun. I've been ordering these more to see differences and the manic of them since they seem so popular. So I'm new to this dish, steamed bun with pork greens & Kewpie mayo. The pork was flavorful but the steamed bun was tasteless to me. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be? I'll keep trying them, but I also would skip this one upon a return visit for another appetizer or small bite offering. Main dishes- We ordered the Tonkotsu Original 2010, ramen w/pork broth & chashu, he. Onion, spinach, egg & xtra thick noodles. Seaweed garnish. Overall great flavor, but a tad overly salted. For the side I ordered the crispy chicken. It was fried chicken. Not much seasoning to it so it was pretty plain. Comes with ponzu sauce. We also had Jinya Tonkotsu Black ramen. Also pork both & chashu based with gr/onion, egg with thin noodles. This dish is a garlic inspired if you like the flavor. Both my husband and son enjoyed it. A great spot in the shopping center off of 2nd & PCH.

I ordered their original ramen and their chasu chicken rice. The ramen, especially, was over the top salty. It must've been prepared by the same cook. If I ever come back, I'll let them know to hold the salt. The rice? It was fine, but I don't think ground chicken works. I like the concept of an alternative to pork, but.... The chicken was a tad dry. Service was lackluster. My table was piling up of dishes and wrappers, but it wasn't removed until the end of my dining experience. I still gave an 18% cash tip, but I wished the staff was a bit more attentive. Also, they do not validate for parking. Kind of a bummer because I was only there to eat; which took 45 minutes. The establishment is located on one end of the 2nd and PCH outdoor shopping center.

Many places you can take your significant other on a date! I took my wife on a lunch date here and we always no matter where we go have awesome food and service when we go here. The host is very helpful, super attentive, not just us, but to other people in the restaurant, even with a large crowd outside . Portions are a great size and amazing and taste ! The chicken Ramen I had, was so soft it literally melts in your mouth and just adding a little bit of their spice that's on the table, outstanding! And yeah, I licked that bowl clean !!!

I felt welcomed by the cool tones of the interior design and layout actually. We waited by the door as a party of two. Not too long after we entered were we greeted by the hosted and seated outdoors, as we requested. Even though it is on fourth street which has plenty of street traffic, it was still a quiet, comfortable dining experience. Every thing on the menu looked and sounded amazing but I planned to try the ramen because I've been craving a good bowl of ramen for a while. I landed on the shoyu ramen with tofu. I really enjoyed the taste of the broth. The flavor and seasoning was soul-healing. I don't usually go with plain chicken broth in ramen but I felt confident in my choice. I was literally happy dancing with each bite. The ramen was so good! My partner went with a spicy order of tonkotsu ramen with chicken, garlic, and black oil sauce. I tried parts of it and it was also delicious! I wanted to try the sushi but did not have that big of an appetite for both sushi and ramen so I opted for the salmon poke tacos. They tasted very savory and the salmon was flavored really well. The temperature and consistency was not too overwhelming for the tacos shell. The service was attentive and not too invasive. We took the check to the counter to pay. I am excited for our next trip here. It is dangerously walking distance for us! While HiroNori is a SoCal chain, it still feels like a mom and pop restaurant. The crispy rice with tuna was EXCELLENT! Everything you want from crispy rice and spicy tuna. The tonkatsu was delicious! Great depth of flavor. They bring you garlic and spicy paste on the side. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. And the pork in the tonkatsu - truly next level. This is probably the best pork I've ever had in a ramen dish. The noodles were also fantastic with the perfect amount of bite. I had those the first time I came and they were delicious the furikake fries were good. Just needed a tiny bit of salt and it would've made them pop a little more. The ramen however...... ouch. The noodles are amazing! Very delicious and love the size and texture. The meat was like forgettable. Like didn't take like anything sadly. Now the broth. That was the most disappointing thing. I honestly thought something was wrong. Literally tasted like water. I remember coming here last time but I could only remember the octopus balls so I gave it a second chance and wow did I immediately remember why I don't come here. Honestly the broth was such a turnoff. The corn side had more flavor than the broth. The service also pissed me off. First like several tables were sat and ordered and our server didn't come to our table. Second we order waters and a beer. Then ordered the fries and the ramen. Tell me why the waters came last. Like I had to ask for them again. Next we got our ramen and it came with a regular tablespoon. Which I didn't want to make a huge deal out of, but honestly that spoon is only given upon request so to get it out right is weird, especially at a ramen restaurant. I noticed every table around us automatically got the renge. I had to ask for the renge. On top of that I had to ask a random server cause our visited our table once to deliver the water and that it's. We had to ask for our check and for a box and for the renge. Quite ridiculous enough for me to complain about it in a review. Literally go somewhere else it's not worth the 70$ when it tastes like water.

You can sit outside and grill your own food or dine inside and have the BBQ brought out already cooked. I chose inside tonight because, honestly, I went out specifically so I wouldn't have to cook. LOL. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic. Super friendly, great recommendations, and she guided us toward ordering family‑style so we could try a bit of everything. And yes, Korean food also means Soju. We had the Jinro Peach Soju, and it was dangerously easy to drink. I sipped, but it definitely goes down like juice. Service overall was perfect. Even when Kelly stepped away, other staff checked in just enough so we never felt ignored or constantly interrupted. It was that ideal balance you hope for but rarely get. We arrived before the dinner rush, and I'm glad we did because the restaurant isn't very big. I can only imagine the wait once things get busy. If you're craving Korean food, stop by. I'm already planning to return with a bigger group and sit outside--looks like it would be such a fun experience.

Came by on a Thursday night and got seated immediately... and then watched the line form right…read morebehind us. Timing has never been one of my talents, but apparently it was that night. Parking is a bit of a game of chance thanks to the tiny lot, so plan accordingly. Once you're inside though, the restaurant is super clean, modern, and the service is fast and attentive. We started with the papaya salad. It was just okay--I'm still trying to figure out why there was a blanket of romaine lettuce casually lounging on top. I ordered medium spice, which turned out to be "medium if you breathe fire for fun." The papaya was also a little more raw than I personally like. The tom kha soup was decent, but the real MVP was the drunken noodles with beef. Those noodles were absolutely swimming in savory goodness and perfectly soft. I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

My family and I were heading to the Aquarium of the Pacific and wanted to find a good dinner spot…read morenearby afterward. I came across this place on TikTok because of their famous Thai tea popsicle, so naturally I had high hopes. First off, we got incredibly lucky with parking. I can definitely see how parking could be a nightmare since the lot is tiny, so consider finding a spot part of the dining experience. When we arrived, the inside was cute and seemed clean. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

I got the vegetable miso ramen with spice level 2. It wasn't too spicy but I could also do without it because it was more of a numbing rather than flavorful spice. The regular noodles are a little thin but they're plentiful! There was a part that was kind of clumped together in my soup though. The broth was more just savory and salty but nothing really stood out as miso or anything different. I appreciate that they have a fair amount of bok choy and bean sprouts. And the tofu was really good too! It was covered in tempura so was almost agedashi-like but they only did give 2 pieces. Our waiter, Hector, was helpful, kind and continually attentive so shoutout to him! Prices are reasonable for ramen too. Glad I got to try!

Cucumber salad was the only fresh/light vegetable option on the menu. Decent but nothing to write home about. Ramen had solid flavor. I like that you can pick your spice level. The pork was fatty and delicious. I wish they put less noodles. I did order the thick ones which cost a bit more but the ratio was WAYY off. My bowl was 75% noodles which didn't leave room for much soup and the fillings were lost in the mix. I had enough left overs for a full second serving - so great to share!
