    CRISPY RICE WITH SPICY TUNA
    Victoria V.

I've been to the Torrance location and it's been my favorite ramen for a while, this location is just as great too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of parking and seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were very friendly, if not a bit slow with bringing out the food. I was a bit disappointed that they did not have their full drink menu. I think they need to have a modified menu if they are not serving everything on there as I had planned to get a drink with my meal. The tuna crispy rice is amazing and I wish we could get more in an order. The edamame was good but I wish it was salted since most of the yuzu was at the bottom. My favorite ramen is the shoyu but the tonkotsu is great too!

This is my first time trying HiroNori ramen, I've only ordered one of their chicken bowls because my family took it to go and I don't like getting ramen to-go like that. Came here again recently with my friends and I waited about 20 minutes for a table and we all ordered the Shoyu Ramen. I got chicken instead of pork. It wasn't too salty and the flavor was good. Wish there were a little bit more noodles portioned in. Couple of things we didn't like was how other parties that got there later than us were being called up before us. Also my buddy found a piece of hair in his ramen but we just decided not to say anything because he was hungry lol.

A solid ramen spot! I went right when they opened and the food was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself was very clean and well kept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service was great too. They will not seat you unless your entire party is there and there was a 17% surcharge on the bill too.

Lunch with some friends and this was their pick. It was a great one and I was very pleased with it. The parking was a little confusing as there was construction going on in the back area where parking and the front entrance is. It shares parking with a couple other business and the entrance is just off the alleyway off Carson. Construction in the back did halt some of the parking spaces and entrance on one side. I didn't know where the entrance was walking around the block which found out later that the entrance was where parking is. I believe you could get on the waitlist but it was still early during lunch time when we arrived that it wasn't necessary. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself isn't that big. A good amount of Asian modern style seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu is pretty limited but gets down to the punch. Ramen, a couple of rice dishes and starters. Basically it. They had some alcoholic drink options too. We started off with some beers, the crispy chicken which was really nice. Thick chunks of thighs lightly deep fried and served with a dipping sauce. Juicy and tender. Entrees, the tonkatsu which you could make into a combo that comes with a side salad, and with salmon poke bowl or spicy tuna bowl for an additional fee. The broth for the ramen was quite tasty and paired really well with everything that added to it. And very filling. Also had the pork rice bowl with pork chashu, green onions, poached egg, spinach on top of rice. That was quite tasty and filling as well. There's a small and large option. Lastly the vegan ramen with sesame miso broth, broccolini, corn, bean sprouts, soy meat, tofu, baby kale with chili oil. Food was quite tasty and very filling. Service was great with friendly staff. Didn't take long for the items to arrive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place isn't that big so it does get busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

FOOD: Tonkotsu- A+ the broth for this delicious noodle soup is something I have thought about several times. In a good way. It was delicious and still piping hot. The soup had a lot of good stuff in it. Seaweed, a tea egg and tender, tasty pork. Pork buns-A. The bun was soft and fresh. The pork was nicely seasoned and lean for pork belly. Vegan gyoza- C. I'm sure if I was vegan I would love this. The filling was mushy. Crispy chicken- B. These reminded me of chicken strips. The condensation from traveling made them less crispy. Crispy rice with spicy tuna- A. I'm glad I got three of these. I could've eaten them all myself, but I shared them. The crispy rice made a unique bed for the spicy tuna. I would have this and the tonkotsu again. SERVICE: the service was weird. I called in my order and was 10 minutes late and my order wasn't ready. That doesn't bug me because I know the food was going to be fresh. I went outside to wait for my order and the lady at the counter said she would bring it out to me. About three minutes later I saw her leaving the establishment and getting in her car. I fought the crowd and went in and got my order. The food was neatly packaged. AMBIENCE: lunchtime on a cold Friday. The place was packed. I had called in my order and I am glad I did. The wait for a table was over 30 minutes.

My first visit to this Long Beach location and my second visit to a Hiro Nori and it didn't disappoint at all! I got the order to go and it was packaged perfectly separating the ramen from the ingredients. Angel who took my order was super welcoming and friendly. She offered me some infused water while I waited for my order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is relaxed and modern and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ramen was delicious when I got it home and the perfect lunch!

    Rosa R.

I've been driving by here for a while now and finally had the opportunity to try it. We were seated right away and our server took our order right away. We ordered some buns and noodles. It was delicious! Service was excellent! Wish the menu had more options though. I'll have to come by again another time.

    Sarah M.

Hands down my one of favorite ramen place! Super solid and reliable. Any friend will love it. If you're super hungry, you can add a small rice bowl. They have a parking lot. It can get busy on certain nights so you might have to wait.

Everything is always so fresh! I was hesitant about coming back because of the parking but I went on a slower day and found plenty of parking. Service was great and I forgot they had a 17% OPTIONAL service charge which I don't mind because it is optional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I got there, a few more people came in and it felt crowded and it got hot inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I come back during the summer I'll probably take it to go.

Service was really good however I wasn't crazy about the Ramen hence the three stars.

Omg this place is AWESOME. Loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a gorgeous restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent. The ramen was amazing. Would love to come back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Long Beach location is small and always busy since it's so close to the university campus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went around 7 pm and got a table for 4 pretty easily though [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lanterns and low hanging decor make the restaurant super cozy and familiar, like you just entered someone's home kitchen and not a Japanese restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tonkotsu ramen - it's good and I got it with the free garlic add on, but it's not quite the best. Comes with a heapful of spinach and the noodles are thick cut. I just wish the broth was richer, it definitely has the pork flavor down but not the deeper complexity I'd prefer I'd give the ramen a 3.5 but for the restaurant and service it's still a really nice experience!

crispy chicken: garlic, soy marinated fried chicken thigh = $9.60

I dined here on a Thursday and enjoyed it so much, I didn't mind coming back to meet a friend for dinner that following Monday. Both times I ordered the shoyu ramen ($16.45). While I do love a tonkotsu ramen, the shoyu ramen at HiroNori is absolute fire. It's a 100% chicken broth with 2 year barrel-aged soy sauce. I love how light the broth tastes. A spoonful of broth combined with the perfectly al dente noodles make for an excellent bite. The bowl comes with 2 generously sized pork chashu slices, green onions, bamboo, spinach, kaiware sprouts, and half an egg. I love all the additional veggies because health. Obviously. If you need a pre-cursor to dinner, I recommend the crispy chicken ($9.60). The chicken is really moist and tender with a nice crispy exterior. They're generous in size and good to share. On the flip side, I didn't love their pork buns ($12 for 3). The steamed buns come stuffed with marinated pork belly (too fatty), pickled onions, and hoisin sauce (too sweet). And if you're extra hungry, you can make your bowl a combo for an additional $6 bucks and some change. This gives you a little side salad with the most delish dressing and a mini rice bowl. I ordered the spicy tuna bowl. (+$1.00) and it was unexpectedly so good. Here, there, everywhere. Any HiroNori location is a good one.

The food is great! The service is awesome! And it's just a chill vibe. Order the gyoza as an appetizer, you won't regret it.

Yes it comes with veggies as well

    Do you offer gluten-free noodles?

What's in the vegan ramen broth? Looks like milk?! I can't have milk

Not sure... but if it's vegan broth, it won't have milk.

Is this resto pet friendly ? Thanks

Probably not since it's a tiny indoor space and no outdoor seating.

No all ramens don't come spicy you add the spicy sauce that they have on the side .

Yes, but the sit in service fee doesn't.

I had those the first time I came and they were delicious the furikake fries were good. Just needed a tiny bit of salt and it would've made them pop a little more. The ramen however...... ouch. The noodles are amazing! Very delicious and love the size and texture. The meat was like forgettable. Like didn't take like anything sadly. Now the broth. That was the most disappointing thing. I honestly thought something was wrong. Literally tasted like water. I remember coming here last time but I could only remember the octopus balls so I gave it a second chance and wow did I immediately remember why I don't come here. Honestly the broth was such a turnoff. The corn side had more flavor than the broth. The service also pissed me off. First like several tables were sat and ordered and our server didn't come to our table. Second we order waters and a beer. Then ordered the fries and the ramen. Tell me why the waters came last. Like I had to ask for them again. Next we got our ramen and it came with a regular tablespoon. Which I didn't want to make a huge deal out of, but honestly that spoon is only given upon request so to get it out right is weird, especially at a ramen restaurant. I noticed every table around us automatically got the renge. I had to ask for the renge. On top of that I had to ask a random server cause our visited our table once to deliver the water and that it's. We had to ask for our check and for a box and for the renge. Quite ridiculous enough for me to complain about it in a review. Literally go somewhere else it's not worth the 70$ when it tastes like water.

Originally, we were going to try to hit up Zuzu's petal, but the line was ridiculously long and the parking was a nightmare, so I decided to take her to my 2nd choice, which was Kin Long. I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill local, Thai place with food that is more homestyle and tastes slightly above average to hit the Thai food fix. Boy, was I wrong! First and foremost, they have their own parking lot, so YAY! It's starting to sound like my standards are low, but they aren't. OMG- their restroom is clean! JK. From the outside, it looked nice enough, but I was impressed when we entered. It had a comfy, modern, clean, and beachy elegance to it (the lights and that chandelier) without it being stuffy or looking disjointed in terms of interior decor. Servers were very polite and accommodating. I let my friend order since she was the guest. She ordered the garlic shrimp noodles and scampi shrimp to share, and the Thai tea drink with the ice cream bar. I ordered 3 cocktails (Jalapeno + tamarind, Lychee, and Thai tea martini) and they were all good (not overly sweet and weak sauce, but balanced, tasty, and had the right amount of buzz). We had a light lunch since we had AYCE hot pot later that evening (Mikiya - yes I'm a good host). The garlic noodles exceeded my expectations - shrimp were huge, seasoned well, and just cooked through, the noodles were broad, float, tender, and had a slight chewiness to it. The scampi shrimp were huge, tasty, succulent, and cooked perfectly (not surprised since the shrimp with the garlic noodles were so good). NOTHING WAS OVERCOOKED OR MADE ME GO.... "MEH...." and I've been to many Thai restaurants even the highly stylized kitschy ones like Farmhouse Thai in SF. The waiters were very attentive. They made their rounds to make sure waters were filled and all guests were taken care of. It helps they were also handsome too! LOL. I generally find many places nice in the competitive LA, but not nice enough for me to travel from the SGV. However, I will go out of my way to visit KL again to try the rest of their menu (drunken noodles, pork jerky, crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc.) because they left a good impression with me. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food, cocktails, clean restrooms, ambiance was coastal modern, has its own designated parking lot, and service was lovely.
