    small poke bowl

this is such a solid spot for the price and fast service! I have been here two times now and the staff has been super kind and efficient. as for the food, I personally think its great! you get to build your own bowl and put so many different toppings, for no extra cost. In my bowl I put tuna, salmon, white rice, seaweed salad, cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, edamame, imitation crab, crispy garlic, spicy mayo, chili sauce, wasabi, masago, and furikake for just $13.95. that's pretty awesome if you ask me!

Just ordered a large bowl. All the onions are so bitter I had to throw this away. Worst poke bowl I think I ever had in my life.

The worst poke I ever had, she used too much sauce, and she was a little sassy. When she scooped up the fish she also touched it with her bare fingers, yuck!

Today was the grand opening of Poke Bar. I was kinda excited for this place to open since I work nearby and there aren't too many options for food that doesn't come from a national chain. The line was about 25 people deep but it did move relatively slower compared to other poke places in town. This is understandable of course given it was their first day. Poke Bar is giving 30% off your total order in their first week which was a nice surprise. Regular sized bowls were $10.95 and larger sized bowls were $12.95. I went to build my own bowl and wanted a base of spring mix without rice. The employee seemed to be confused by this despite me pointing it out to the menu a few times. I gave up trying to get spring mix after asking him for it 3 times and just opted for brown rice instead. The proteins mostly looked decent. The Tuna appeared to have been treated to prevent oxidation, which kinda left me a bit disappointed considering this is a poke bowl restaurant, which should have had better ahi. Scallops, Albacore, Salmon, Octopus all looked decent (Ahi and Spicy Tuna didn't look that great to me). Everything tasted as expected...the food was good but I wouldn't say it was better than other poke bowl places in town...in fact maybe a half step below. All in all Poke Bar is a decent neighborhood poke spot...and not a destination one where you should go out of your way to eat.

We walked over from our nearby hotel for some Poke and really enjoyed it. Contrary to what another reviewer said, this is indeed a national chain. We always try to eat local but we wanted some late night Poke and this was too convenient to pass up. The guy working behind the counter was very friendly and he helped us through the steps of building our bowl. They offer tons of ingredients and everything was very fresh. The prices seemed reasonable for Poke, which is traditional pretty pricey, as expected. The portions were decent enough to fill us up but we weren't really starving. Overall, great quick stop for Poke that I would recommend.

Ordered poke bowls to be delivered for my son's birthday lunch and unfortunately the only positive thing about the lunch was the quickness of the delivery. We ordered 4 bowls - 3 out of the 4 bowls were missing items or had incorrect items. I ordered a small bowl; the brown rice was suuper al dente and had no seasoning or vinegar at all, the spicy tuna was ok, the salmon was extremely fishy, and my "side" of krab salad consisted of a few sad strands of dry krab. My son ordered a large bowl with salmon and octopus, received scallops instead of salmon. Nothing really tasted good at all. For $13-$15 a pop I would recommend a sushi burrito for a better value

I ordered a poke salad from uber eats from them I normally dont leave bad reviews. But I would like to leave the comment their spicy tuna is geniuenly too spicy to be edible. I'm mexican I've been eating spicy food my entire life and I know asian spicy is different but this is literally not even enjoyable. I had to take the tuna out of the salad and it was practically impossible to not have a bite and not feel heart burn. So I honestly couldn't eat the salad. Waste of food and money :( I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch or something but maybe have a warning if its literally this spicy? Maybe i just lost my tolerance? Idk I didnt want to give a bad review and not give them the benefit of the doubt but it was honestly not edible.

Looks good but was tasteless without flooding it with fatty sauces.

Tasteless, expensive bowl of seafood. I've avoided all Poke places since their inception until now and I knew my gut feeling was right by avoiding it all this time until now. What broke my heart the most is that the miso soup was disgusting, the broth, the tofu, Yoshinoya miso soup blows this crap away. Just a simple shame! Anyone who gives this place five stars probably gives everything else five stars, that is what we call "fake news!" My recommendation, if you're dumb enough after reading this, make sure you put lots of their sauces on the food to flavor it. Im done!

Not locally owned, but pretty good! I didn't think the portions were anything special, but the food was tasty and service was impressive.

The employees are great and friendly BUT the poke is lacking--too spicy (without flavor) and very skimpy on portions.

While the kitchen takes its time and the pricing details can be a little confusing at the register, the sheer amount of food you receive makes it well worth the wait. Trio Plate (4/5): An absolutely massive sampler that provides enough food to easily split between two or three people. The container is packed so full that it requires a rubber band to stay shut, with extra items overflow-packed into separate containers. The individual proteins are a bit of a mixed bag, but the deep frying technique is delicious: Ono Chicken (4/5): Perfectly crispy chicken thighs that are deep-fried fresh to order with no old oil taste. However, I felt like the sweet and savory garlic shoyu sauce described on the menu was lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting. Dynamite Pork Katsu (4/5): The highlight of the plate. It also had a crispy light batter with no greasy residue. The spicy mayo and katsu "dynamite" sauce carry the dish, though all the sauce is concentrated on the top layer, leaving the pieces at the bottom a bit bland. Meat Jun (3/5): My least favorite of the options. The egg and flour batter felt sparse, and the thinly sliced marinated beef was tough to chew from the heavy amount of tendon. Sides (5/5): The singular scoop of rice is a massive portion on its own and perfectly cooked. Swapping the second scoop for mac salad is highly recommended, which was delicious, perfectly balanced, and not overly weighed down by heavy mayo. Logistics Tip: Arriving on a weekend afternoon shortly after opening means walking into a very busy place. Be sure to grab a physical menu from the stand near the cashier before jumping into the line to order. Note that the menu lacks transparency regarding upcharges: you may encounter unexpected $1-2 additions for certain premium meats in the Trio combo, as well as a $2 charge to swap a rice scoop for mac salad. Parking is highly limited, so expect to hunt for a spot along the surrounding neighborhood streets.

Menu: There are pre-designed signature bowls and there's a build your own bowl option that's starts at $16. I opted for building my own bowl: brown rice, the included sides of imitation krab, cucumbers, seaweed salad, corn, crispy onions, and went with salmon shoyu poke. Absolutely delicious, salmon was so tender and marinated with just the right amount of sauce. 9/10! I find the canned yellow corn a little odd (not something you typically see in Hawaii poke bowls), but it works and I didn't mind the extra color/crunch. Portion size was great for there being one size. The interior of the space is a nice corner location off Hoyt and NW 11th, so lots of bright natural light, cute but simple decor with wood slats decorated along their white walls and cute plants tucked into the corners. Service was quick and presentation of the bowl was great. I'm really excited about this spot, my new favorite lunch spot when at work. Will spread word to my coworkers of course!
