Pretty good, fish tasted fresh and there were lots of topping options. I do wish they would have given more fish and toppings, instead of filling it with so much rice. The service was quick and convenient, and the place had decent outdoor seating.

Solid poke place in Ballston. This is as standard as your poke bowl experience can get. You work your way down the line specifying how you want your bowl built, and pay accordingly. The fish tasted good and all the toppings were done well.

This place absolutely took care of my craving for poké!!! Coming from living in California for a few years, I have pretty high standards for poké, and I loved the quality and portion size here. The ambiance was cute and clean - however, a lot of people walked in and took their food to go and were picking up to-go orders, so I wonder if that's more common here. Tbh that's probably what I'll do. Gluten free peeps - you will absolutely love this place and feel safe here because they label everything (every food item as well as each sauce). Can't wait to return to get my poké fix!

Very very rude employees, lady looked at me stupid when I told her I needed a water cup with a lid because I was taking it to go and about to head to the airport. The places is trendy and cute inside. Food tasted fine. That's the only reason I gave it 5 stars, considering I went 20 mins out of my way to go to this place I will not return again.

My coworker and I came here for lunch since it was fairly close by. I've had a lot of poke before, and this place was disappointing. I made my own bowl and picked my base, protein, toppings, and sauces. The portions were small, and nothing really had much flavour. They barely put any sauce which didn't help at all either. Neither of us finished our bowls. Even though there wasn't a line, we felt rushed to order. We both got a caramel bubble tea, which just tasted like bitter chocolate milk. My coworker tried getting an exchange or refund after taking a sip and was told they don't do that... The restaurant itself looks like it's half finished because of the layout. I also don't believe they had the AC turned on. For the price we paid, I would not recommend this place.

I love Poké it Up! We both got the build your own bowls and the options they have here are amazing. Prior to the eating here, I had been to a couple Poké restaurants, but being vegetarian I felt like none of them truly hit the spot for me and felt they were lacking with the toppings. Here there are so many vegetarian toppings and the sauces are absolutely amazing. Each bite was so delicious and I'm glad this is right here in a central area in Arlington. I also got their strawberry bubble tea which did not disappoint. It's a pretty casual restaurant so you can just go in and order. I highly recommend!

Wow! This place has some of the best poke I've ever had! The restaurant itself if immaculately clean and brightly lit and cutely designed and the ordering process is quick and easy! The fish is fresh and tasty. Good selection of toppings and sauces too. Highly recommend stopping by here for some poke if you're in the area :) Will definitely be back!

Not all Poke It Up places are the same. This one had the best poke I've ever had. Lots of fish, very fresh, delicious sauces. The drink was fantastic too

Poké it Up is where I recently discovered my love for Poké bowls! They are super quick and reliable with their service and always have fresh ingredients. I tend to customize my bowls with spicy tuna, fruits, vegetables, and a spicy mango & wasabi aïoli and it's always super tasty and flavorful! I really enjoy their strawberry bubble tea as well and the fact that you can customize the sugar level. I've never eaten in the restaurant but they have ample places for seating. I usually pick up my order and it's always ready within 15 minutes! There is an area out front for pick-up as well. Definitely my go to poké place in Arlington!

Quality poke and the mango slush was good as well. Wish they would give more avocado.

My favorite poke spot in DC. The portions are generous and the fish is always fresh. The delivery is quick.

This was a hectic day. There was an event in Annapolis for a museum amongst a couple of other things going on there (east of where I live in western Anne Arundel County). I looked at my options was weighing what I was going to do, looking at Meetup calendar, & checking movie times. I saw there was a Pentagon 9/11 walking tour, which I decided would be interesting. I'd have a lot of time to kill. At 2 PM while still in Annapolis, I booked a movie at 3 PM at AMC Hoffman in Alexandria. I fought some traffic on 495, but got to my movie on time; the movie was bad & boring, but these things happen sometimes. Then, did the Pentagon tour. Afterward, I grabbed grub in the food court, which was good quality poke grub. This was a good, solid poke. There's been some better poke I've had, but it was very good, and it was a bit more expensive than some others. Staff was nice. After I ate, I saw one of the women from the tour & talked to one of the women from the tour. She might've possibly eaten in the food court or did a little shopping. But I said you were on the tour, and we had a nice conversation at the escalator. I felt it was pre-mature to ask for her phone number and if I saw her again, then maybe, which I didn't anyway. Anyway, the poke was good but haven't returned as it's so rare I'm ever over here anyway.

Another good find!…read more We are surprised this place was empty when we get there. The food was really good! We ordered the Tonkatsu Curry and for anyone who loves Coco Ichibanya in Japan, this is the closest we found here in DMV area. It was SO GOOD! We will go back to just have that again. For the sushi, there are one from the order that didn't fit for our taste buds. We liked most the two sushi from the left (including the eel) those are really good. The service was on point and the place is really nice. It could cater from small to big groups. They only have indoor seatings. At other times, Takohachi will validate your parking. We were the only customers. We liked that the front side of the restaurant is all windows, so with sunshine streaming in, the restaurant had a warm and cheery feel. We were a little overwhelmed when were given like four different menus. We started out with the pork belly appetizer, which was probably our best dish of the afternoon. We also ordered the spider roll. Takohachi's spider roll comes with soft-shell crab, avocado, crab and fish roe. It was pretty good though the roll slices seemed fragile and started to fall apart. We ordered some kind of tonkatsu "bento box". It came with an excellent chicken katsu (loved the crunchy breading), udon, rice and a simple salad. This entrée also came with these interesting rice "balls" that were rice with a toasted slightly sweet exterior. I also ordered a toasted rice ball. It's what you think a toasted rice ball would be, white rice in ball that's been toasted. No additional ingredients or flavorings. JP ordered a grilled whole sardine, which he liked. Service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

Ambiance - modern Asian restaurant on the second floor. Tables were clean. Ice machine broken (more on that later) and napkin dispensers at the counter needed refilling. Service- good! Employees very friendly and food came out quickly, less than 10 minutes after ordering. Food- ordered the oxtail pho, 2 pc eggrolls, and a Vietnamese coffee. Oxtail pho - rich flavorful broth, oxtail meat already separated from bone and served boneless. Noodles slightly overcooked in my opinion. Added some Vietnamese spice on the side and it added a nice kick to the soup. Eggrolls - extremely disappointing, came out and very obviously had been sitting for a long time. Lukewarm on the inside and completely cold on the outside. Caused eggrolls to be very chewy. Would not recommend. Vietnamese coffee - strong and sweet brewed in house. They come pre bottled which is fine but the real killer was the ice machine was broken so had to drink the coffee out of the bottle. Would think they would chill the bottle more strongly with the ice machine broken but unfortunately mine started barely "cold" and just got worse from there. Grand total for my order plus 4$ tip and a 1$ credit card surcharge was 38$. If the food was perfect that would still be a bit steep for the meal but bearable. However due to the execution errors I would say this is very poor value for this price. Would not recommend going out of your way to visit this place. Pho broth very good though!
