I'm very upset that I had this review sitting in my drafts and forgot to finish it! Of course I've forgotten everyone's names, but I can't forget the good food and outstanding, phenomenal service! When my business runs late and I'm hungry, I try to pick a new spot and focus on any cravings. This day I wanted a burger. I'm a big burger snob, and believe a burger is only as good as its fries (I'm the same way about barbecue and its sides). Yelp sent me to Polidori Market. I've passed this place at least 50 times, WHY HAVE I NEVER GONE IN? First, let me state this is an European market that is surprising, considering it's in a strip mall. Walking-in hungry, I could have grabbed all the delicious to-go treats that greeted me! It was just me, and I sat at the bar. I can't remember everything I ate, but the burger was good. It wasn't what I was craving as the freshly-made bun was a bit too soft for my liking, but the burger was quite tasty. It's not a typical American burger nor are the fries, but I enjoyed it. What I enjoyed most and what I remember most is the unforgettable service and kindness extended to me. The woman there assisting me, packing pick-up orders and stacking the grab-and-go refrigerators, kept bringing me things to try. First there was fresh bread, then I had a nice wine and finally a yummy dessert that was perfect for me -- not too sweet. I bought food to take home and it did not disappoint. Whether you'd like a bite and nice glass of wine, or you're taking home food for the family, Polidori Market is a convenient stop. I felt like a good friend, and I think you will too. read more

If you want fresh homemade pasta then I recommend coming here! Everything was made fresh to order. It may take a little longer to make but I promise it's worth it. While we were waiting for our food our waitress brought us a free appetizer for us to try, and it was amazing. Also each table gets complimentary breadsticks and bread with hummus which was great. I don't understand why this charming place is not packed every night. The food is excellent. This time, I tried the Pumpkin Tarta (they also offer Ham & Cheese, or Spinach on the menu). The filling was absolutely delicious and the salad with bits of avocado, olives, red onion, cherry tomatoes was much like I would make at home. This is one of those restaurants where you think twice about writing a review. Do you really want to tell the whole world about this little gem of a restaurant tucked away in a strip mall? No, not really. But the food was so enjoyable and the staff so great that in fairness to them I just can't keep it to myself. We stumbled on Polidori Market while following a Yelp lead for what turned out to be a closed restaurant. And almost turned away since we were just looking for a quick sandwich and a drink. That would have been a mistake that we're glad we didn't make. The staff was so friendly when we asked to see the menu that we quickly decided to stay. From the get-go, we knew that we were onto something good. The bread platter was a harbinger of things to come. A warm crusty loaf, cheesy bread crisps, herb butter, and a delicious hummus spread that almost made us want to stop there it was so good. But then our server brought us a wonderful amuse-bouche of stuffed pasta that went well beyond the usual tasty bite and was an inspiring sample of things to come. The menu had a wide variety that made it tough to choose - but easy to commit to another visit. The octopus appetizer was tasty with just the right level of resistance in each bite. (My only quibble with the entire meal was that the octopus was slightly over salted. Taking it back a notch would make it a truly tasty dish). Rather than going for a main dish, I had the coconut pumpkin soup which was velvety and delicious. The addition of a roasted vegetables side made it the perfect lighter fare lunch that I was looking for. My companion had the milanesa Napoletana and really loved the light tortilla Española that came with it. As an indication of this restaurant's attention to detail, they ask what level of done was preferred for the tortilla. For desert we opted for a box of the homemade candies on offer at the 'market'. And don't be thrown off by market in the name. This is a full service restaurant with a shop for taking home a variety of pastas and sweets that are really hard to resist. Even so, at the end of our meal we were presented with another amuse-bouche, this time light dessert bites of strawberry with a dollop of whipped cream and dulce de leche on a meringue disk that were perfect to round out the meal. And I can't say enough about the staff. They were attentive and efficient without making you feel rushed. But the most notable characteristic was their super friendly attitude. After just a few minutes you felt like you were talking to some friends in their dining room. For example, at the end of the meal we had a lively discussion about the difference between guava, guayaba, and membrillo that involved not just our wait staff, but the lady (owner?) at the market as well. Really just an enjoyable experience all around, thanks to their welcoming and friendly nature and great food. But shhhh! Let's just keep this our little secret. read more

This place was recently come under new ownership, it deserve to be experience, the pasta, all home made and gourmet can't be describe ld with the current vocabulary, it is just OUT of this world, the meats and its creative sides, (included) are also incredible good, the Pavlova, and the flan con dulce de leche, I can't stop eating them, so delicious, and on top of that, you can take many of the pasta dishes home, with a good selection of ready to boil goodies.
