I made an appointment earlier this week and they got me in for Friday, which was awesome. The decor is adorable and girly: sparkly lights, the oft mentioned bubble chairs, etc. They carry Essie and OPI regular polish- probably about 200 various colors total) and gelish gel polish. They have a bucket of swatches for you to choose your gel color, which is a little overwhelming; it would be nice to have the colors on rings sorted into color families so you don't have to wade through the buckets. My technician was very nice and happily let me read my iPad (though they do have iPads for customers to use if you do not have one with you) while I enjoyed my pedicure. The pedicure benches are a little uncomfortable but they supply pillows that you can place on your lumbar area and then it's all great. My nails came out very nicely. They do not accept tips on cards so have cash for your tech tips. read more

My husband and I went here for our anniversary to get pedicures. It was amazing! We had the whole place to ourselves because they take social distancing very seriously. Susanne did my nails (pedicure and gel manicure) and she was awesome! Very friendly, professional and I was very happy with the end results. I even messed up my polish on my toe and was so nice about it and fixed it right away. At other salons, I usually get a serious attitude when this happens. This has been my go-to spot for the past couple of years now. EVERYONE knows what they're doing. From the owner Shelly, to Susan and Kim. Obviously, I have my go to bail artist but I love the cleanliness and personality of the salon and the people. They don't do fake nails here and it doesn't reek of chemicals either. Had a great experience with Polish'd. Called an hour ahead to see if they could take three of us for pedicures on a Saturday and they put us on the schedule. We arrived with my three-month old baby in tow and got started. I was pretty sure the baby would sleep the whole time (rookie mistake), but he woke up and fussed, and my nail tech was so helpful with him! She did a great job on my toes even though she hurried to get them done so that I could take care of my son, and she even helped with his diaper change! I felt badly for the other patrons who had to listen to him cry, but the staff were all very nice about it. Five stars for pleasant staff, easy scheduling, and pretty nails. read more

Decided to pamper myself a little today, and considering that I hadn't had a professional Mani and pedi, in about 30 years, I went straight to YELP, and checked the reviews on quite a few nail salons, and decided to check out Polished. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Victoria, after I chose my nail color, she took me right back to her station and began her magic!!! She was very gentle and precise in cutting my nails and cleaning up my cuticles. By the time Victoria finished my pedi, I felt like I had a new set of feet ... they felt and looked amazing. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone. The salon was clean and the tools sanitized and sealed in a package. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I will return soon. I called to ask if I could buy a gift card and they said I had to talk to the manager and would have to call back later. Weird. I probably should have known to avoid this place at that point. When I did get her on the phone she said that I could only buy it if they held it at the store until the person receiving it come in to use it. I asked if they could mail it if I paid for the stamp and she (I think it was the owner) said no, that's too much work and she didn't want to be responsible for it. So they will be responsible for keeping it at the store for months but not putting it in an envelope? I mentioned that this means that she will lose current and future business and her response was (and this is verbatim), "I don't care. I'm ok with that." Ooook. My main concern here is if she doesn't care about customers enough to mail a gift card is she going to care about customers enough to make sure that everything is sanitized properly? Probably not. I'll also mention that it seemed expensive to pay $50 for a mani/pedi (though I was willing to pay it if they had let me). read more

very chic looking reception area with hanging half circle chairs...didn't really sit in them since we were seen right away...got gel mani ($40) and regular pedi ($30) ...a bit expensive but good selection of OPI and Essie nail polishes...hopefully they will last at least a couple weeks :-) i did like that they used an autoclave to clean their nail utensils...always look for that so that the tools are sanitized. didn't get any other services so can't comment on waxing or anything else. the place is still new...like 18 mths old read more

I waited to post this, as I wanted to give them a fair shot at rectifying as situation. Pros: Similar to what others have written. Clean, cute, and fun looking. It's nice to walk into a place and not have the smells that are present at other nail salons. They have done an amazing job at making you feel like this is a nice establishment. I enjoyed my manicure there (although, she did cut my cuticle to bleeding). This is a place to take your girlfriends for an afternoon and have a fun time together. Cons: I would concur with others about the customer service. Often, after walking in, I would feel like I was being a bother to those "working." The second, and main reason, is because they offer waxing service. I say offer because I have now tried four times (over the course of a month) to schedule a waxing (either by walk-in or by calling ahead) and every time was told that the person who did the waxing wasn't there that day. I say if you offer a service, you should actually be able to provide it. It would be better to not offer it than to never have it available. Overall, if you're going there for the atmosphere with some friends, it would be okay. However, they need to take some steps to improve their customer service and their availability. read more

I seriously felt like I was on vacation when I stopped in without an appointment for pedis with my Darling Daughter. DD almost lost her mind because her dream is to also own a nail spa one day. She kept saying how the decor was exactly like what she has envisioned. Definitely a cutting edge place for HoCo. Prices were good and comparable to the endless in/out shops around the area. We were lucky to get in without an appointment but I would call ahead because I only saw two nail techs that day. In fact, Shelly is the owner and I found out she went to high school with my little sister. So, yeah, she's a MD gal and is American so her English is fine. This was the second time that I have gone to this nail salon. The first time a wonderful relaxing spa pedicure that lasted an hour; the second time not so much. Sat down at 2:25 and was painted and finished by 2:50. It was a "spa" pedicure for $40.00. I'd decided to check this place out based on the wonderful,reviews, and I wasn't disappointed! I had the pleasure of being waited on by the owner, Shelly, who impressed me with her professional yet laid back demeanor. I received the most amazing pedicure. She's the only one who EVER offered to take care of my ingrown toenail (painless and perfect), and told me upon leaving that if I happen to flub the polish to just come back and she'd fix it. The location is convenient. The atmosphere is very trendy and relaxing. The pedicure section is actually one long bench with massage pillows (you have your own remote), and there's little iPads next to each tub with magazines downloaded already to read during the service. This place is pretty hard to find at first, but it's definitely worth it. Went there with my wife twice already (no shame). It's pretty nice and clean inside. They're all pretty nice and actually speak English. Not knocking on people who can't speak english, but it's kinda tough when you go to a place, like a nail salon, and the workers are speaking in their own language. From what I heard, YES they are most likely talking about you. The people that work at THIS place actually try to engage in a conversation with you. I showed up at 930 on a Sunday morning and was excited to have been seen with no wait. The scenery and decoration was so elegant and just gorgeous. I definitely felt like I was in the spa, the pedicure area was so comfortable. I must say that my pedicure was just ok for the price though, I did get the grater as well but my pedicure still felt like nothing special. I usually go down the street where I get the same pedicure with for less and better quality as far as foot scrub and lotion for after the pedicure. I definitely would love to see something added to go with the look of the place and the price. I'm not sure if this could be my regular nail shop, but maybe with some changes in the actual pedicure. read more

Modern and classy upscale salon with a Georgetown vibe. Once you're inside you get a really trendy and hip vibe! I visited for the first time the Friday morning before my wedding and was able to be seen right away without an appointment. The young ladies were very friendly and welcoming. I'm currently two weeks and a day into my gel set and they are ok. Some lifting around the cuticle area but no chipping. Granted I've been at the beach and in the pool all day, everyday for the past ten days so that can be a contributing factor to the polish lifting around my cuticles. However I will be back to get another feel for the longevity of their gel set. Prices are steeper for the area, but you get what you pay for. The salon is beautiful so I don't mind paying a little more for a fabulous ambiance! I LOVE that the hand washing sink is located right at the manicure station and that they are an all natural nail salon. No funky acrylic smells! read more

This place is amazing!! After moving away, I realized I never reviewed it. The decor is great and the atmosphere is pure ambiance. They even have floating bubble chairs that greet you at the door. All the ladies do a fantastic job. But I was always serviced by Shelly. We would be laughing through the whole appointment. Plus, my nails always looked great. You can tell she takes pride in her business and is just a boss @ss chick in general. However, don't look for alot of fancy designs because they specialize in natural nails which I absolutely love. The salon is beautiful, but most importantly it is clean and they do a great job on your nails. The only reason they didn't get a five star from me is because the gel.nail.polish was around the edges of my nails that could have been cleaned up.
