Came in during a week day with an appointment and between the grace period of 10am-3pm.First time to receive and experience Polished Boutique Spa, not impressed. Facility promotes false pricing services and "Happy hour pricing" on website. It states: "Happy Hour Pricing" every Monday-Thursday from 10am-3pm -Mani/Pedi $47 -Shellac mani $33 -Pedi/Shellac mani $62 -Shellac combo $73 yet was charged $70 for a acrylic full set mani. In addition, the owner of the salon Kim automatically asks/adds a gratuity on the bill. Tip should always be at the discretion of the client/customer. Made an appointment at 6pm, man was that a mistake. I wish they wouldn't have accepted an appointment if they were going to rush through my gel manicure. I understand everyone is ready to go home, but I came at 6pm when you were closing at 7. It was the quickest manicure I've ever gotten, but also the lowest quality. I usually do my own gel manicures and I wish I did it myself because it was not worth the $35. Cuticles were cleaned up minimally, my nails have chipped in 5 days, and uneven shaping of my nails. It is a very high price to charge $35 for gel, but I do think it's reasonable if it is great quality. However, this was nowhere even close to mediocre. I will not be returning and highly recommend to others to never towards the end of the day. read more

I am in love with the service they provide here. I have been to several nails salon and I have to say they are the best in town. Kim, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming. She gives you good advices. For the first time ever, I was able to grow my nails out. Their shellac lasts for 3-4 weeks. My nail technician, Huong, does an amazing job every time I come in. I've been coming here for almost a year and I've never been disappointed with my SNS manicure or my pedicure--they have a few other services as well that I haven't tried. At the time I found Polished Boutique, there were very few to maybe no other salons in my area of the city offering SNS dipping powder. After one manicure, I was hooked. My nails always look gorgeous even after they grow out over the 2-2.5 week period. I constantly get compliments on them and can't rave enough about the boutique. One time they chipped after a week, which was my fault, and they fixed it for free. The other amazing thing? They have ZILLIONS of SNS colors. I'm starting to think I need to arrive 15 minutes early just to glance through the selection. At other locations outside the city, I've seen at the most 20. At Polished Boutique they have like 400 or so colors. They are constantly updating their inventory to provide their clients with variety and choices. Kim, the owner, makes sure her techs are offering perfection for their services. I don't necessarily have a favorite tech since they've all been great, but Anna, Jennifer, Don and Kim have all been a pleasure to chat with and do an incredible job. The pedicures are fantastic too. Who gets hot stones with a regular pedicure?! It's AH-MA-ZING. The only negative thing I will say is I wish they had more massage chairs for pedicures. They have three then there's a bench with four seats so it's hit or miss if you get to sit in one. If you live in the Capitol Hill area or nearby, you should definitely make this your go to nail salon. read more

I'm sorry to say this but the day I left the nail salon after my dip powder set, my nails began to crack! Then, my nail split in half, began bleeding, and now it's in a splint because it's so painful. I've never had this happen before at any other salon, and my nails are usually pretty strong. As you can see, almost every nail is cracked (photos taken today, after having the nails for 1.5 weeks). The worst part is the pain I'm having. Can't say i would recommend this place for dip powder extensions :( read more

Pedicure was well done but my SNS manicure sure was not. 10 days later and 1 nail completely fell off without any reason to do so. All nails already lifting at the edges. Whatever bonding solution and "sealant" solution they use for the sns is the real problem. Not bonded well, and the sealant topcoat they use is sticky and takes 20 min to dry as if it were regular polish. Not knowing this, as every SNS manicure I've ever gotten is instantly dry and smudge proof, I smudged and dented my entire right hand shortly after manicure was completed. Salon has potential but I would not recommend getting SNS here. -- Response: yes I am sure this is the right salon. I came the evening of 7/11 and today is 7/21. Have never lost a nail in 10 days before at other salons. I sat for 20 min waiting for fingers to dry, kept feeling them and they stayed tacky and my finger left smudges where I tested them. There should not be any "dry" time at all. Better bonding and sealant solution will make a big difference read more

I really want to love this place but unfortunately I can't. They do a nice polish job but they really do a hack job on your cuticles. They cut them so it looks good when you leave the salon. However, just a few days later mine were fraying and also getting red and started to hurt. It's because they cut them too low which is not safe and is also prone to infection. I'm a guy who likes to get pedicures. Not ashamed, and will respond to criticisms by trying to persuade you to get one too and with me. This fine establishment already sold me with their free candy, but they also happen to do a great job in a comfortable environment. Massage chairs are comfortable with lots of settings. Water isn't too hot nor cold. The technicians are pretty gentle with your feet and I never felt discomfort. Everything also felt clean and professional. I suggest calling for an appointment during the weekends, but the weekdays should be ok'ish for walk-ins. Overall a fair price for good service. I only give 4 stars because I'm bougie and have been to glitzy spas in Texas where they serve morning mimosas, have tv, and have large amounts of space. The main real complaint was that the space is a little tight and it would have been nice to have more separation from others. All things aside, certainly worth a visit. read more

The absolute worst nail salon experience I have ever had. I went in to have my acrylic nails removed and they were forcibly ripped off in 5 minutes such that my real nails were pulled off my skin. When I tried to relay that I could feel her ripping my nail off my skin, she continued to force it off. On top of that I was charged $12 for the removal PLUS the cost of a "manicure," despite my nails being lumpy, uneven, and sore. I had to reschedule twice because my days were crazy during the week I wanted to stop by and the owner was very accommodating to that. Upon arrival the nail tech was very quick and knew exactly what she was doing. I showed her a pic on Pinterest on what I wanted my nails to look like. Unfortunately she didn't seem very interested in what I had to say and just asked my to pick out the colors and tell her what I wanted which is okay. She did an amazing job and the end result was awesome. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars is because when she was filing my nails she accidentally filed the edge of my finger and I got a very painful cut which I'm hoping will heal soon. It seems like this place might be good for dip or acrylic nails, but for a basic shelac job, it was really frustratingly bad. First of all, it's too dark to properly pick a color: what looked like a lovely preppy salmon in the salon turned out to be bright red-orange as soon as I stepped outside. The length and shape of my nails is all over the place; some are round, some are square, they're irregular lengths and weirdly not centered on my fingers. The woman who did my nails didn't even do the same thing on each hand: clippers on one hand, file-only on the other; three coats on one hand, two on the other. It was like she wasn't paying attention. Maybe she needed a break? Not worth $40, not going back. read more

Polished is the best nail salon in Seattle. The price is competitive with most salons in the area and the service always exceeds expectations. My experiences with them have ranged from hosting a bachelorette party, to having a pamper myself day, to taking my mom when she was in town. Each time has been equally pleasant. Any time I've messed up a nail when I got home or noticed something off in natural light, these lovely ladies have fixed it at no additional cost without even batting an eye. If I could afford the luxury I'd go every week just for the great service, but thankfully the services are always so good they last 2-4 weeks, so I don't have to! I went here last year while trying to find a new nail place. The tips all broke off within two weeks. Fast forward to this year, trying to find a new place and I had forgotten that I'd given this place a chance already. I paid $41 for a fill plus nail art. Within 12 hours two tips broke off. I called to let them know I'd be there the next day at noon for a repair. I show up and they're rude to me and make me wait. It's been two and a half weeks and 7/10 nails have either lifted or broken. I do not recommend this place at all. It happening once might've been a fluke, but twice, a year apart, shows lack of quality which is even more insulting considering what they charge. read more

Same sponge was used to clean the water bowl and the floor around the chair where I walked with my shoes. Praying I don't get an infection! 2. Rushed service.
