Quick gel manicure with gel removal ($45) with lots of color range. Pay cash and you will avoid 3% fee -- Venmo and credit card. If you want cat eye gel nail color it's $15 extra.

The service was amazing! Was their first guest and only one while I was there. I was double teamed & it made the time spent here not too long! I got in around 11am and left at 12:45pm. I got a manicure, pedicure & my brows and lips waxed. Total came up to $155 before tip which I think is a good deal for what I got! The ladies were very nice in here, took very good care of me & personable. Will definitely be coming back!

Tucked between SOMA and Mission Bay, Polished Nest is an adorable, homey, and quality nail/beauty salon. The quality of the gel manicures and regular manicures is far above many of the other spots around town. The interior feels like you're in your fancy aunt's living room and you and all your friends are lounging around, getting your nails done. A different kind of vibe, but it's really grown on me & I prefer it to the more medical-feeling facilities. The color selection is good, they have a whole pallet of neutrals, as well as cat eye, holographic, and other fun options. The good thing about this place is also that they don't use any drills. Everything is done manually, which feels better and safer for my nails. Parking may be tough, especially during game season, but there are metered spots both right in front of the store and in some of the back streets. If you're in MB/SOMA, this is the place for your beauty needs.

Pretty good job! They're super speedy and didn't massage me too much but it was okay bc my gel stayed on for a while and they did a good job painting. The vibes vintage and very different from other nail salons but I was comfortable and relaxed. they're really nice too! I would totally go back.

Called them on a lazy Sunday morning and they confirmed to have same day openings for 1pm. First time trying out the salon and I'm quite impressed (writing this review 2 weeks later) at how well the gel is holding up after a week of vacay hiking/water activities. Service was quiet, no small talk as the lady who assisted me had one AirPod in, but I think she was the manager taking all the salon phone calls hands free but it didn't interrupt anything so I was ok with it. The decor is somewhere between old Victorian and grandmothers well loved living room; I think they were going for old Parisian vibes. The individual couches (4-6 inside) were comfy enough with bag hooks above it. They didn't not offer water and not sure if there is a bathroom. For $45 (+15 with simple design like mine) gel manicure with hand massage it was pretty solid, same price for cash / card. So far the longevity is a great standout to me!

    Chrome gel manicure!

I originally gave them 5 stars because my nails do look good but I need to dock a few stars due to the state of my cuticles. It's been a few days and I still have swelling and scabbing on my cuticles from the manicurist making me bleed. I don't think it's a good sign when that happens so just beware they were really aggressive with my cuticles.

The dirtiest nail salon ever been in. Disgusting! Chairs never been washed, lamps and products all oily and dirty.. Just a disgusting place! And no cheap.

    Dip extensions with French tip

I'm rarely happy with my nails so I was beyond stoked with the final results of my dip extensions with French tip. Exactly what I asked for! I got a polish pedicure as well. Only 4 stars because the thing I had to rest my feet on for the pedicure wasn't the most comfortable but overall fine!

Update: 1 year later & I'm still coming here 2-3 times a month! These women are SO damn good at what they do. Posting a better pic of their work (and my nails) :)

No doubt about it (OPI) manicure

This place is cute and I liked how they had no cell phone policy and some complimentary candies. I texted for a mani pedi appointment and they were pretty responsive. They had a nice selection of different essie and OPI colors. I opted for a sort of neon traffic cone color called "No doubt about it" from OPI. The manicurist was a little rough but gave good pressure for foot and hand massages! I was in and out within an hour and fifteen. For $56 with tip, pretty typical pricing but good attention to detail on cutting cuticles and nail shaping with the file etc. I would go back.

    So comfy!

Probably the best gel manicure I've ever received. And I get them all the time. This is now my new go-to spot.

For our favors, we bought the cute flip flops they sold at Polished Lounge and dressed them up in tulle, ribbon, and a small baby frame.

5 stars hands down for both the quality of the waxing services and the amazing experience this team…read moreprovides. I've always been super scared about getting a Brazilian despite my relatively high pain tolerance. I decided to bite the bullet by booking with Erin after a long day at work. In all honesty, she made the experience so much easier and relaxing even despite the pain and discomfort that comes from these waxes specifically. Upon walking in, she instantly greeted me and was super welcoming. I used the bathroom before my wax to calm my nerves and walked into such a pretty and pink glittery bathroom! Not gonna lie, it was a pretty good distraction lol. Like any person would, I was pretty nervous but I decided to go for it because of the results. It was so worth it. It does hurt, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Your first wax always hurts the most because obviously you don't know what to expect, but it does get better after the first strip. I have to say though, what really helped ease my nerves was how chill the whole environment was. The staff makes every client feel welcome, and in my case Erin was super friendly, thorough, and overall such a vibe. It made the entire experience feel a lot less intimidating. They also have complimentary snacks and drinks and initially I passed on them because of how nervous I was, but after my session, best believe I ran to the snack station. As an SF native, I am proud to say that I will be returning to reWAXation as a regular! I am so glad I found this gem. Thank you to Erin and the team for making this experience so much less daunting and a bit more fun!

I got baited into this place by their Instagram ads for the new client special $30 brazilian all…read moreover my feed. I said, hey why not? Might as well give them a try. I booked on their website and did not pick a specific esthie but just said "anyone." Mostly everything is done online (forms). For the new client special you have to upload a picture of your photo ID into their system. I wasn't too thrilled about this as I don't like the thought of my ID being in their database. Cyber related incidents are on the rise now a days. I had my sensitive info stolen from my old CPA and fraudulent tax returns filed under my SSN before so no type of business is safe. A day before my appointment I got a text from one of their workers basically telling me that I hadn't confirmed my appointment and to do it before EOD otherwise my appointment would be cancelled. The text was sent with a bad tone. Kind of like, "you better do this or else" type of tone. I frequent several establishments that are appointment based and only one other place has told me if I didn't confirm the day before that my appointment would be cancelled but they warned me of this policy ahead of time so I already had a heads up. On the day of the appointment I got another text from someone there reminding me to do my forms before coming in. They really love reminding people through text over here. They also send you a text about 15 mins prior to your appointment to check in and then another text with the door code to let yourself in to the waiting room. They have drinks and snacks there for you while you wait which is a nice touch. Artrecia was my esthie and from the moment she called me back she had a very off putting attitude. I don't know if she was just having a bad day but it for sure seemed like she hated her job. Conversation with her during the service was minimal. I felt like I was doing all the talking and just getting short answers from her. It really was the opposite of what some people said about her personality in other reviews on here. Artrecia waxed me pretty quick which doesn't necessarily mean that she did a good job. I was actually expecting that she did a mid job based on her attitude alone and I wasn't wrong. My boyfriend later on examined my brazilian and pointed out at least 7 patches that Artrecia missed. Some were on the front part so it's crazy how she missed those. She didn't go in with tweezers or do clean up strips afterwards to get the spots she missed. Nevertheless, I still tipped her $10 which I feel like she didn't even deserve for the mid brazilian she did on me. Now I'm wondering if I'll ever come back. One thing is for sure, if I ever do, I won't be going back to Artrecia.
