I had never heard of a Russian pedicure and decided to spend the extra money to get one. I got my first pedicure about 45 days ago and my toenails still look pretty awesome! I did lose the gel on my pinky toe a few days ago, and one of my toe nails has a crack in it (I had it before) and that toe polish lasted over a month. This is definitely a different type of pedicure. It would be nice to have a massage at the end. I didn't mind not having a foot soak either. First off: I have been getting manicures all around the city for over 10 years. I've gotten gel, gelx, hard gel, acrylic, dip, regular manis...literally everything and everywhere between Manhattan and Brooklyn..and I've never found a place like Polished until now. 5 stars. I waited three weeks to write this review to really test out my nail's longevity, and my nails still look incredible. I get comments on how nice and fresh they look even three weeks out. There's a bit of grow out but that's to be expected, and it's a lot less noticeable than three weeks out after regular gel. The venue is also very clean & relaxing. I've had really expensive and mediocre Russian manicures at other places in the city and never thought it justified the price but Elena makes it worth every penny. My nail tech was so sweet and skillful, she explained the dry filing technique that they use on the cuticles and nails which is supposed to be better for your nails and make the manicure last longer.
