The staff was very friendly and kind. The front desk was amazing with communication, scheduling, and assistance in paying tip via venmo/zelle. Update to review: I spoke to the owner, after I called multiple times, and he, Don, stated both services would be covered (for my sister since she did not get what she paid EXTRA $$$ for and for me since it was such a horrid experience for MY WEDDING!) I called yesterday, Thursday, to make an appt for Sunday. The woman on the phone, Brenda, was so beyond unprofessional and rude. She accidentally hung up on me (I said nothing and called back) and she answered laughing and said "Miss Beth before you make another bad review, that was an accident." Had she just apologized for the dropped call, it would have been fine. She then called back Friday and said only one service would be covered. I told her to cancel everything and I hung up the phone. The management at this salon is the worst I've ever encountered in my life. I would highly recommend going elsewhere!!! read more

At this point, it's not only about the poor quality of service -- it's about honesty and professionalism. The business manager made claims that I was offered certain services, which is simply not true. It's frustrating and concerning to have inaccurate statements made about my experience rather than taking accountability. Claiming services were provided or offered when they were not is misleading. I also find it inappropriate to dismiss a customer's concerns by referencing their Yelp review history instead of addressing the actual issue at hand professionally. I had not had a pedicure in a year and this place helped me with clean-up, callouse removal, relaxing salt scrub and leg massage, and added acrylic on one toe that had previous damage and was almost all grown back (with clean-up prior of course). They use sterilized utensils, individual, one-time use loufas for your foot callouse and throw away after. Additionally, the general vibe was clients laughing with their nail ladies, they were all communicating with one another and the place was well organized too! I visited this salon yesterday. It's been years since my last visit, and I was in the area, so I decided to give it another try. I got Gel-X extensions and a gel pedicure. I received a gift certificate to this salon back in 2019, but lost it and found it recently. I have a salon I usually go to, so I have not had a chance to try this place out. I decided this week to finally give this place a try. I got my nails done, and when it came time to pay, they told me my gift certificate had expired. I explained that under California law, gift certificates do not expire, but the owner told me their policy states it is invalid after 2 years. He eventually said he would "give me the discount this time," as if he was doing me a favor. After I left, the owner followed me out to my car and continued arguing with me for 10 minutes, insisting I was wrong. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. My manicure itself was fine, nothing special, but being harassed after paying completely ruined it. There are plenty of salons that treat customers with respect and follow the law, this is not one of them. read more

I visited this nail salon for the first time since I wanted to try a new place. Although the staff are very nice I am not sure if I'd ever come back here. I liked the color they put on my feet but the quality is very subpar. It's very clumpy. I do a better job than that. Also although the lady who worked on me was very nice and polite, I didn't feel like she cleaned me good enough. My feet didn't have that fresh feeling after I left. As you can see in the photos that the nail polish is very clumpy. I didn't want to do gel since I wanted to change the color the following week. For the $27 price I guess you can't expect much but I gave the lady a $10 tip bec I appreciated her effort. I was disappointed bec I really wanted to like this place. read more

The 2nd star is because the ombré is still well done. Most of us work, we are also stressed and when we decide to get our nails done, we are hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately mine wasn't. I went with my mom, we both got ombré bio gel. My nail tech didn't cut my cuticles, didn't cut my little dead skins around my nails, didn't scoop underneath my nails, didn't give me a massage, while my mom got all the above. She left my hands dirty, underneath was filled with particles, I had to wash my hands and scoop underneath while at the salon. When I tried to tell her, she told me I should've asked for the manicure before hand and it was $5 more. I wasn't asking for the full bowl of water and all, just cleaning up a bit which should've been done. As I left, I asked the front person if in fact it was part of the service and she confirmed it should've been done. And when the nail tech was called out front she justified it saying I didn't have much to clean. I work in a lab, I have to spray my hands with alcohol regularly, my hands are extremely dry and I have a lot of dried skin around my nails. Rounded up to 3.5 stars I had a very pleasant experience. I have been searching far and wide for a nail salon that is clean, disinfects their tools appropriately, and keeps a relatively clean work station. This place delivered on those aspects. I opted to choose whomever was first available to give an unbiased first impression. Although I had a pleasant experience overall, I did have to highlight a few points that rendered a 4 star rating instead of 5: NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. The lady doing my pedicure put the water on the hottest temperature and walked away without ensuring that I was comfortable with the temperature. I asked the manicurist to turn down the temperature and she turned it down to the coldest which made my toes cold. (Better than scalding I guess) 2. Not a lot of color selections were available to choose from so I had to settle with the closest color I could find. The booklets needed upgrading and a bit of cleaning as they were sticky 3. The pedicure chair was very uncomfortable to sit in long term. I'm short 5'0 so that chair was definitely not made for me. My back and tailbone started to ache after a prolonged period of time. 4. The manicurist suggested I use BioGel on my nails since I have very thin brittle nail beds. That was a very good suggestion BUT it took the manicurist quite a long time to glue the extensions on with a lot of trial and error. WHAT WORKED WELL: 1. Although the manicurist had a hard time initially, she did not hurt me AT ALL and made sure to not cause any cuts. I told her I was prone to infection and she took extra care to make sure she was gentle) 2. The pedicurist was gentle on my toes and took extra care not to hurt/cut, or yank on anything. Unfortunately my tow nails are very prone to ingrown although I try not to let it get to that point. She did not hurt me at all during the experience and effectively cleaned the sides without any pain! THAT'S AMAZING! I would definitely come back again! read more

I decided to go back and make sure I book with Don since my friends go to him and their nails always turn out great. Don went above and beyond to fix the previous tech's mistakes. He look off the old nails, trimmed my cuticles, and started from scratch. He took his time with application while ensuring everyone in the salon was happy. Don handled a previous unpleasant customer experience and turned it around to make it right. I will be returning to get my nails done with him and will continue to recommend this business! read more

I decided to try a nail salon closer to home so decided on polka dot nail salon. It seemed like they are comparable to my other nail salon. It is smaller than my old place and even though the chairs are Ok they have a really nice bowl for your feet. . I didn't say much and neither did Henry. The gel colors they have are Ok. I didn't really like any so I had to go with a staple color. Henry did a decent job but he did nick a couple toes! Thank goodness he used alcohol when he was done because i did notice that their tools are not in packages. read more

This place was awful. First, the technicians are crammed in behind the tables for manicures. They can even get theirs carts through, which I would think is a major fire hazard. My daughter has beautiful natural long nails and gets a gel manicure. They filed them so paper thin and that has never happened before. They feel like they are going to break. She had to tell the lady 3 times she doesn't want them shorter and the lady kept almost insisting that she make them shorter. The lady next to her had to tell her she doesn't want them shorter. She also didn't make the polish even and it is thick in some places. Then someone dropped polish on the floor which broke and they cleaned it with so much acetone the smell was awful and they didn't open the door. The only reason I gave 2 stars is being the ladies who did mine and my mom's were so sweet and friendly. I will never go back. read more

I went in for an apt Tuesday 8/13 it took over 20 minutes for anyone to start my nails. My pedicure looked great but the gel chipped in less than 3 days. My acrylics were so bad and uneven and reshaped the owner had me come back in to get them fixed which I sat there for over 10 minutes for an apt to get them fixed. Because of how badly the original tech messed up my nails I had to settle for a shorter length that I do not like and to top it all off I have my thumb nail already lifting and needing to be fixed. No hot water for spa pedicure- me and my friends tried to leave but they said it was fixed. Only it wasn't... they tried their best with warming up the water with electric pots but at this point, this was already not what I was expecting. Maybe it depends on the technician but sadly, my lady's paint job was mediocre. Still tipped her more than enough to though.
