This place has one of the worst service departments that I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Overpromising and underdelivering is the order of the day there. I was promised my jeep back numerous times and each time they had "just one more thing" they needed to check. When I asked to speak to a manager I waited a full hour with three other people who were upset in their waiting area and still never managed to talk to one. Five days later I finally got my vehicle back. I did shoot off an email to the service manager so they could attempt to do something to make it right, but never heard back. So, here I am warning people away. Go to a different dealership, this one is awful. **Update** I've been back to Pollard a few times since this for warranty work because it's the only Jeep place in town. I'm quite glad I did. It seems as though ever since they switched locations, the quality of their service has improved remarkably. They are prompt, courteous, and professional. Just ordered a new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee track hawk edition. They did not charge over msrp like many dealers in denver.

Friendly? Possibly. Service Oriented? Nope. I recently brought my Cherokee in when it suddenly would not start. I was informed that the battery was dead and I would need to have them replace that for a mere $200 parts and labor before they could do any further diagnostics. I asked if they had a shop battery they could use to test the starter, etc, before I shelled out $200 not knowing what else I was in for (I know this is possible to do as I have worked in a repair shop). They declined, so then I declined, paid the $95 (mis)diagnostic fee and took my battery to the place I bought it since it was still under warranty. The battery tested good, so I put it back on my Jeep and had it towed around the corner to Repair Masters. They fixed my starter (not the battery) for a minimal cost and I have not had a problem since. I got a nice follow up letter from the Pollard Service Director about how I still needed to replace my battery. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share my experience with him, so I called him up. Rather than an acknowledgement of error, I basically got the run around about how thier diagnostic equipment is superior and I'd better hope I don't get some cold weather or my battery won't work. I went to Pollard to test drive a jeep. All seemed well at first, the salesman said the jeep had been on the lot too long and the owner was motivated to sell. On the phone he had said it was a manual, which was incorrect, but I decided to test drive it anyway. He asked me a ton of questions like what I planned to do with it, how often I go off road, did I know that a jeep does not drive like a car, etc.. Seriously, I have never been questioned about my motives for wanting to buy a vehicle, and I have owned several vehicles. Anyway, while waiting, I was handed off to another pushier salesman (which made me really feel as if I was not being taken seriously as a potential buyer). But, I liked the jeep, so I wanted to know how much they would sell it to me with my trade. The second salesman proceeded to contradict everything the first salesman said: not budge on the price at all or go ask the boss and and offer the most ridiculous low-ball offer on my trade in (a full 1500 dollars below KBB fair trade in value!). Conclusion: overpriced and stereotypically sexist! read more

This has been the worst car buying experience ever. The Jeep we bought was back in for service 5 days after we bought it. It's still not running right, but we've decided to take it to another dealership because this one is so bad at everything that they do. The salesman assured me that he'd check on an additional key for me, I never heard back from him. Today, my bank sent me the title and all of the paperwork that Pollard sent in back to me. Because their finance department doesn't know how to fill out the paperwork correctly, now I have to go to the DMV and do the title transfer myself. I've purchased a new Jeep here and taken both my Jeeps here for service off and on over the years. I must be a little slow. The service prices are just beyond reason. They will quote you $100 to diagnose a problem that you can see by looking at it (tail lite is out). $250 for a battery - $150 for labor..... If you go to the dealer for service you are asking to pay a premium, but this is a bit beyond rational. read more

Purchased my used Jeep here. I had been shopping for awhile, visited many local dealers, and was very impressed by the demeanor and general family feel here. They were pretty transparent with pricing, and willing to haggle, which can be the most frustrating or rewarding part of buying a car. Basically, I got the car I wanted, for the price I wanted, with no stress or difficulty. I parked up front, circled the lot for 40...yes four zero minutes and not a single person even said a simple hello to me. One week later got my jeep back and was told it was fixed, literally no difference from before. Said my alternator was putting too much power to my battery and needed to be replaced and that's what the ended up doing (apparently) and said they tested it. Well I'm driving my jeep tonight and the lights keep flickering and the electronics in the car keep going on and off. Would be nice if the defrost would work considering its 26 degrees out and snowing. Glad I had my jeep in their shop for a week for no reason. Not happy. BOO Pollard Jeep! read more

After checking out some local places just south in Broomfield, I have to say this is over priced and over rated. I will give them a great tip of the hat, they were able to get me in fast. I called the dealership in Westminster and they told me close to 60 days for an oil change, and being with an active family putting 500-1,500 miles a month on my jeep that wasnt going to work. So I went to Pollard, and a standard oil change, nothing fancy and no additional work well over $100 dollars. I personally wont rate a place based off one experience below three stars, unless it was just that bad. The following month I took it in because of a check engine light and for them to investigate an odd sound coming from the engine. They quoted me about $800, the actual cost ended up being about $50 less which sounded like a bargain until 1) I showed my new mechanic the bill and he said he could have done the fix for less than $200, 2) a month later in rural Utah I blew a freaking spark plug (the odd sound was it rattling loose). All in I would just suggest you look elsewhere. Denver has some great independent mechanics, so especially if you car is out of warranty with the manufacturer I would strongly look else where. read more

We were extremely frustrated and disappointed with our experience with Pollard. We made an appointment to see a car the afternoon before we were able to be there at 11 am the next day. Our journey to Boulder was scheduled to take two hours. We actually left our home 45 min earlier than planned. On the way we received a call from our sales person who called to say another party was interested in the same vehicle. We were told we would have to put down a "nonrefundable" deposit to assure that we would have first rights to purchase. We turned that down as it felt like unnecessary pressure. When we got to the dealership we met our sales person and he gave us the keys to "test drive" the car. No mention was made that the other couple was already signing papers to purchase. When we returned from the test drive we were met by our salesperson who told us the car was sold. As can be imagined, we were not happy. "Bait and switch" comes to mind. The manager was called to talk to us...he tried to say we had the first opportunity to reserve the car with a deposit and that he would have refunded it if we did not decide to buy it. (NOTE: this is different than what the sales person had told us in his call) Trust is a huge issue for us and given what we had experienced to that point we asked for the keys to our car and left. Left us with a really bad feeling re: this dealership and the fact that we had wasted our entire Saturday morning on a worthless venture. read more

Pollard Friendly Motor is great. I went to at least 5 dealerships in the area but they had the best selections and prices. I wound up trading in my truck and they gave me a good price for it, not as much if I was to sell it privately but who wants to do that? So I traded in my old truck and got a great used car. When I picked it up it was nice and detailed. They could've filled it up with gas like most dealerships do but at the end of the day it's not that big of deal. At the end of the day I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone in Boulder looking for a new car. read more

Brought my Jeep Cherokee 05 in for diagnostic and ended up with inconvenience and negligiblity. I have an interlock in my car and they ended up leaving the car running, which caused a missed blow and violation, they didn't use the clean piece I gave them which I didn't notice until blowing with the same mouthpiece (so great, essentially kissed someone there), and the driver window wouldn't role up either (something I was told later they weren't responsible for even though it obviously happened during their time with it). I was told to bring the Jeep back to get the window fixed the next day and was told nothing about being charged an additional $130 until pickup/signing. Getting window fixed somewhere else too because they wanted $500 for a repair on it. Some people are kind there but with the stuff that matters they're really dropping the ball over there. read more

I bought my vehicle in February of 2019 from Pollard Jeep in Boulder, CO. This was my first mistake. I had to make a separate payment two weeks after the purchase date. I called to give them my debit card info and thought all was well. The lady called me back several days later stating that she had wrote it on a piece of paper and somehow lost my credit card information and needed it again. She lost sensitive information. So I gave it to her again. A month down the road I go to license my car and pay for tags and title but the dmv could not find the info. Pollard had never sent it in because they never processed the payment. I had to buy an extension on my temp tags. I go in to make the payment (for the 3rd time) so I could register my car. There was a recall that needed to be attended to. In the process of fixing the recall they put a 2 inch scratch on the leather of the console which is what was being fixed. I had to bring it back in another day so they could order the part. By then, the electrical on my visor had just fallen out due to broken clips so I had them repair that as well. Minutes after driving off the visor fell out again. I bring it back this last time to have the visor fixed again and a complimentary detailing that came with the purchase of the vehicle. I was told to drop it off at 11am and it would be done by 5pm. I dropped it off at 11am and called at 530pm just before they closed to see the status. They hadnt even started. My vehicle sat there the entire day with no progress and they didnt bother to call to state that our car was going to be there over night (for a detailing). I told them Id be there in 15 min to pick up my vehicle and that I wanted a detailed list of what had been done in the 6-7 hours it had been there. They tried to do a quick wash of the outside of the vehicle while I was on my way to make it seem like they had done something. They pulled it up next to me dripping wet. While doing the quick wash, they put circular scratches all over the paint on the body and somehow ran the back fender into something and notched it up very badly causing thousands in damage. I hadnt noticed at this point because it was dark already. They offered to give us a loaner for the night so they could finish the work the next day. The next day they call us around 5:30pm (already dark at this point) to go pick up our vehicle. I thought this was fishy so I checked the inside/outside of my vehicle before leaving the lot. This is when I noticed the damage. I reported the damage to the manager before leaving the lot. He wants me to bring it in again in a couple of days for repairs and states that it is not going to be back up to 100% but theyll see what they can do. This car is less than a year old off the lot with me being the 1st owner. It has been damaged by the people we bought it from and theyre telling me that they'll see what they can do. I have filed a complaint with Jeep corporate, the Attorney General, the Colorado Auto Dealers Association, and I have also filed a police report. I'm just hoping to save anyone else from their incompetence. They've made what should be a milestone in ones life into a complete nightmare. read more

The owe me money from a payoff of my trade-in, the were suppose to send the amount I told them, they called my bank to get the payoff, and sent that exact amount, which was $460.00 less then what it said online. I have called, and called, and called, left messages, sent emails and still no refund. I guess my next step is a lawyer, which sucks for $460.00 but I gotta do what I gotta do. I would not recommend this dealership for your SERVICE needs. My experience was 'PATHETIC', to say the least. Each service rep is trained well to sell other services, but put very little effort to help address your key issue that you walk in with. You end up with a minimum of $500 and with the least bit of satisfaction. It is sad to point out that JEEP would give this dealership a 5 Star rating, where the most critical aspect is Customer Service for getting such rating. read more

Pollard understood I didn't have 5 days to wait for the next available appointment like Auto Nation's call center wanted me to do and had me drop it off the next morning. Like many other reviewers, Pollard starts out the relationship and sales process with pretty good customer service. We decided to not overly haggle for our sale price. The salesman seemed sincere and helpful. Unfortunately after the paid in full check was written, things went down hill. Our paperwork hadn't shown after 7 weeks. We got nervous and called the dealership. After receiving a lot of misinformation, we left a couple of voicemails. Pollard never returned our request for a call. They only responded to incoming calls with a mean and threatening tone. Eventually, we tracked down the paperwork with the help of a great USPS postman. Pollard never followed up after the sale regarding the missing paperwork or the sales process. Being new to Boulder, we really wanted to support a local business and were sadly disappointed. We thought they would treat their customers with a higher level of proactive service. They did not. We will need another car in a couple years and Pollard will not be in the running. Our overall suggestion would be haggle hard, expect a low level of service but if you can go elsewhere, you will likely be better off. read more

I wish we could give zero stars!! BEWARE of the service department! We bought a brand new diesel Grand Cherokee and had 2 oil changes through the service department. At about 22k miles our car basically shut down bc the filter was clogged along with other issues and to protect itself the engine pretty much shuts down. Their service dept is closed on Sat's (makes no sense either) we were told to take it to Dodge Chrysler dealer. After they assessed & we checked our records they had put gasoline engine oil in our diesel engine for not one but BOTH times!!! The simplest of tasks with a vehicle and they couldn't get that right. I'm dumbfounded Jeep service doesn't know the difference between gasoline & diesel. Then they basically accused us of lying and wouldn't pay for the work to fix their mistake. Department managers worked it out but the audacity to not right a wrong in this case is ludicrous. We are evaluating what to do next as there is probably damage to my new car after 20k + miles with the wrong oil. Shame on you Pollard! read more

I bought a used Jeep from Pollard Jeep Boulder and had a $2K repair within two weeks. Don't be a sucker like I was. Take your vehicle to a mechanic before you buy it and have them check it out. I went back to the dealership and after a month of talking with them they said there was nothing they could do. I had them realign the tires prior to purchase and they didn't notice ball joints needed replacing. Hmmm. I had a very odd and disappointing experience with the Pollard Jeep Service Department Oct 2018. I was getting some vibration or "death wobble" in my Jeep Wranglers front end and took it to them because I thought they would know best and do the best work. They charged me $959.00 to fix the front end and told me it was "significantly better". I drove it off the lot and only got a few miles away before I had to pull over because the issue was not fixed or better. I emailed them the next morning to notify the that the problem was not fixed or at all better. They told me it would be another $520.00 in additional repairs to "try" again to fix the problem. This seemed like an obvious attempt to just get more money out of me for further repairs on the Jeep. I got the feeling that they were not being completely honest and that this could go on for an untold amount of time and cash. I was working with Joshua for the most part and felt as if ai was working with a used car salesman, and not the good kind. I told him numerous times I wouldn't pay another $520.00 and expected a better result after spending $950.00. When told this he would put me on hold telling me he was 'going to try and get me a better deal on the repairs'. He never did. In fact, at one point he came back and told me they made a mistake on the initial quote of $950.00 and that they should have charged me more. For this reason they would not be able to give me a "deal" on more repairs. After my experience here I really felt like I had been scammed by a few old used car salesman with big smiles and bad intentions. just beware. There are better service stations out there who will be honest and do really good work. read more

My other car is an Audi and I believe in dealers for my work being done on my cars due to the fact that they can keep track of it. I had recall work to be done in my 2014 Jeep - new in town and wanting to stay close to my office, unfortunately I had only 2 options (Jeep in Boulder and in Westminster). Westminster Service didn't answer the phone after a couple tries during business hours and while Boulder/Pollard Jeep did - it was 2 1/2 weeks to get in. They said I needed to leave my car all day, and their shuttle didn't go as far as my office in Broomfield. They'll rent you a car for the day - for $35+/day. No thanks - what happened to providing a car while your car is being serviced especially when it's for multiple recalls that take all day? They told me cost and insurance was the reason for no loaners. The waiting area and overall experience at Pollard was not super - it fees like you're in a temporary trailer when waiting in their service area. Last, I called to see how much for an oil change and their quote is $55+ - robbery. While I love to support local, seriously go somewhere else. And while it seems like this is a rant about cost - and while it is a bit, don't get me wrong I believe in paying a fair price for good product/service, but this is ridiculous. Perhaps they are Boulder prices? Look elsewhere. read more

I live in Kansas City, we drove 10 hours to buy my 16 year old daughter's first car in Boulder (CO.) at Pollard Jeep. I made an inquiry about a used Fiat 500X SUV that I saw on CarGurus.Com, KAYTLIN Pearson emailed and called me back almost immediately, she was wonderful, we discussed the car I was interested in, my trade-in vehicle, and in a short time, we had agreed on a price for purchase, and trade. We agreed on the terms of the transaction, and I drove out to Boulder to make the purchase and trade with KAYTLIN. When we arrived at Pollard Jeep, KAYTLIN met us at the door, and lead us through an absolute wonderful sales experience. KAYTLIN made the day great (and FUN), buying a car can be stressful, not with KAYTLIN, she is all about the client, we felt like we were the most important customer in the world. We were introduced to the Manager, MIN Pedersen, who welcomed us to the dealership, reviewed our trade-in, and discussed the entire process. KAYTLIN reviewed the features of the car with my us, we were thoroughly informed of our purchase, we knew everything about our new car. I then worked with the Finance Rep, WILL Loomis, he was incredibly detailed with all the paperwork, answered all my questions, and reviewed all extended warranty options across multiple suppliers, plus WILL made the whole paperwork process fun, in 40 years of buying cars, for the first time I was "having fun" in the finance department. Bottom Line, the team at Pollard Jeep is super, KAYTLIN PEARSON is fantastic, she is "Super Cool", and her pride in work "shines through" to make for a wonderful customer experience. If I needed to buy another car, I would not think twice and drive another 10 hours to Pollard Jeep, and buy a car from KAYTLIN. I booked in with Jeep Pollard this morning for a recall service. I booked it a week ago for today. I arranged with friends and family to be taken to the site to have the work done. i was told it would take anywhere from an hour to half a day when I booked it. I got there this morning and was told they did not have the parts, and that they had this information on Friday before they shut up shop. Did anyone think to call me to tell me to change my plans? Absolutely not! What an absolute disregard for people's time and money! The dealership is also quite a way outside of Boulder now, so that I would have been stranded out there without my helpful friends anyway. If they do provide a shuttle service for their customers, I was not told it was available. The service staff look good in their green shirts. Yeah them! The person I talked to didn't care about the inconvenience that was caused for me and my helpful crew this morning. Great customer service is all I care about. Two thumbs down from me! read more

I am leaving a one star because of the lack of integrity and the lack of honesty that I experienced. I have not had a car for over 8 years due to severe trauma that I have been healing. I chose to go to Pollard at the suggestion of a friend and I expected honesty and integrity. I was told that the truck that I was looking at had been already looked at and was ready to go. I know that buying a used car is not perfect and I was not expecting perfection, only the sales person being up front with me and honest. I paid cash for my truck (which I received as a gift from a friend) and then took it down to get a complete diagnostics from a trustworthy mechanic. I found out that a tune up had not even been done on my truck and the rear wiper arm had not even been replaced (which I had to do myself). I went back to Pollard and talked with the sales person who sold me the truck, telling him of the results of the diagnostic test and that a tune up had not even been done. Both him and the manager tried to haggle with me regarding this and wanted to write me a check for an amount that was less than what it would cost to get the tune up done. Seriously?! I stood my ground and got the tune up from Pollard and did not have to pay. I am very dissatisfied with the service that I received. Is it really so hard for car dealers to be in integrity and to be honest??? read more

Unfortunately I bought a used Jeep from Pollard and it was a classic lemon. On top of that, I bought the extended-warranty insurance and Mopar, the insurance company, refused to pay for any repairs because the car was "modified" even though I hadn't done a thing to the car. In other words, the car was modified when I bought it and Pollard obviously knew this when I bought it. On top of this Pollard agreed to pay for a "clockspring" repair on the car (covered by Chrysler warranty) but never did. I have hounded them for a couple of years and they just don't get it. The morals of people like Doug Pollard, Bob Valladeo and Brian Carney who just want to outwait me is amazing. If you want to buy a Jeep, you should never ever go to Pollard. read more

I've bought a car here once and been for service many times. I'm less and less impressed each and every time. I won't be back. Three times I've tried the "Express" oil change. First time it took 4 hours and it took a little over an hour each of the other two times. The waiting room is terrible. No coffee, no TV, nothing to read except magazines from 6 months ago. The whole building is outdated and run-down. They have a display advertising Mopar cassette players in the main showroom. It's an embarrassment to the Jeep brand. Do not go to Pollard. You will waste your time and money. I had been a customer here for 11 years and had great service up until recently; something has changed for the WORSE. I took my jeep in for 1 issue about a month ago and when the car was returned to me it had more new issues. I had to bring it back in and be without my car for days. When I got it back I had to pay more money for this "new issue" and then when I got it home it smelled horrible of oil which it never had before. I had to bring it back in. At this point I had just dropped $1400 with them. During all of this I was never offered a ride anywhere or a car. I was left walking home in the rain with my baby. And then they called and told me my car wasn't worth putting anymore money into. I should just get a new car. WTF? Why wasn't I told this BEFORE I dropped $1400? I'm so disappointed in their service. And I am mad. I was told they were 4 mechanics down. Totally understaffed. Fine! Don't make me pay for that though. Completely unprofessional and inexcusable. read more

I would not recommend this dealership. I feel sorry for you if you buy your car here, and then try to get a mistake made by your salesman corrected, because this is what happened to me.... One of the two key fobs my salesman gave to me for my brand new Jeep was the wrong key fob for my car- it wasn't even for the same Jeep model and upon closer inspection the fobs did not even look the same. Not sure how salesman made the mistake...I do not live nearby to the dealer.... Terrible customer service in trying to get this situation resolved... Unreturned phone calls... Unanswered emails... When I finally did talk to the salesman, his promise to "call me back in 15 minutes" with info on how to resolve, was a joke (or a lie)... No call back... I finally decided to send an email to the GM of the dealership to help get this resolved...I also thought it couldn't hurt to call Jeep Customer Service and get their email address so I could copy them on the email as well, thinking Pollard might take my emails more seriously if Jeep Customer Service was involved.... So I called Jeep Customer Service at 877-426-5337 (no email address on their site).. My experience with Jeep Customer Service was STELLAR... The Jeep Customer Service representative asked me for all the details of my unsatisfactory experience with Pollard including the names of the sales people who I had been in contact with. Jeep insisted on filing a complaint against Pollard on my behalf... This was not even why I called them- their idea, not mine.... The service representative at Jeep said "You should not have to deal with this after the purchase of a new Jeep" ... WOW.. something no one at Pollard ever said to me... Jeep Customer Service took control of the entire situation and will resolve quickly and easily.... I sure wish I had called them sooner... They even gave me 4 free oil changes for my trouble... It is SO REASSURING to know that Jeep not only stands behind their brand and reputation, but EXPECTS their dealers to represent the Jeep brand at an exceptional level, delivering excellent customer service. They are extremely interested in hearing when a dealer is not living up to Jeep's expectations... I would recommend buying somewhere else. Worst car dealership ever! ZERO INTEGRITY! I went to Pollard to buy a used car that I saw online. I pulled the VIN # of their vehicle and also ran the VIN # of my trade, so I knew the actual price between trade value of my car and retail of theirs. I test drove their car, liked it and sat down to purchase it. I told them what my bottom line number was and that I am not negotiating the price...they came back 10 minutes later with a number that was $2000 higher than my number. This went back and forth for an hour and a half...finally I had enough and got up to leave and they accepted my original offer at that point. I signed the price agreement and said that I would come back the following day with my title and all sets of keys for my car, shook their hands and headed home to clean out my belongings from my car. I showed up the next day as promised with title in hand and all keys to the car, only to have them tell me that they sold it after I left the night before to someone else who paid more. Apparently signing your name to a price agreement and shaking hands means nothing to these people. That behavior is a perfect example of who they really are.....absolutely spineless! read more

I have owned my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee since it was new. This car with its 4.7 Mercedes built engine is terrific. It is an "old fashioned" American beast on the roads...period!!! Since Pollard has consistently sold inexpensive oil and filter service I had taken my Jeep "El Duce" to them since it was new. Yes 15 years. I have stopped taking my car to them. WHY??? Their service sucks, and at every three month interval for oil and filter service, I have had to copiously look over what they did...1) during one service they over charged me over $400 dollars for four wheel drive service (this is when the car was less than three years old) ... not needed work obviously .... the car had less than 15,000 miles on it at the time; 2) once they changed the oil and filter, charged me for a worn drain plug, and when I went to pick up my car, there was a river of oil flowing out over their parking lot from my oil pan; 3) a third time they put the wrong oil into the engine. I caught this at looking over the invoice and had them correct it on site; 4) a fourth time they recommended brake work....they advised repairing the wrong pair of brakes. Guys this was a method of making for more complex repairs later. In short They are worse than bad...THEY ARE LOUSY!!!!! End of woes...I still have my "El Duce" it is still awesome, and except for regular maintenance, knock on wood, it has in 51,000 miles over 15 years given me the car thrill a JEEP should...
