It's always fun walking into local businesses and seeing them getting into the Yuletide spirit. Stopped in for lunch for my usual half chicken meal. And just had to look around. Located inside of weird gas station. You can find some of everything in here.

2/10 Beef Fajita 4/10 half chicken (I'd give a 7 if it was fresh) 7/10 rice I am in town and was working down the street from this place. I saw alot of reviews bragging about this place. There's a place in San Antonio that makes this place look silly. First off... how do you say you are selling beef fajita when the meat is some kind of roast... yes you grilled it and probably added fajita seasoning but HELL NO, that was not fajita. Fajita is flank steak or skirt steak. You meat was very stringy like roast and/or barbacoa The chicken has a lot of potential to be great. The seasoning and marinade used gives the meat a lot of flavor. Only problem is that the meat was cold and super dry. Every single bite. My hotel was literally 5 minutes away. I usually eat at the restaurant or in this case would have been on one of their tables. Since I was so close I wasn't worried about my food getting cold...

Really good beef torta. Chicken plates really good also. Definitely try them out. They have a drive thru if you're in a hurry.

Pro tip: Steak fajitas…read more While pricey (duh, it's at the Proper), the food, drinks, and service are top quality. There is a "Proper Hours", weekly Mon-Wed. We didn't go at this time, but it is said to have discount beers, cocktails, and snacks. Now, I don't know about the snacks, but the entire menu is mouth-watering. Personally, we enjoyed the ceviche, crudo and chips with queso (and the added chorizo), followed by the birria tacos, and finally the sizzling fajitas (that stole the show). Margaritas are solid, but I am wondering why they're $20+...

Service: 5/5: We went for dinner an hour before they closed, and the staff was so lovely and would check on us often. Even after they had closed, they offered us another round of drinks and dessert. We did not feel rushed at all. Drinks: 4/5: I ordered the frozen margarita and it tasted pretty good. Not much different from other frozen margs Ive had. Drinks are a bit pricey here. Food: 4.5/5: You get chips and salsa for the table. The green salsa was tasty, but the red was missing flavor and spice. The Shrimp Ceviche was good, but I did expect more flavor/freshness out of the dish. The star of the show was the Chicken fajitas with cheese! The chicken was so juicy and the cheese was so delicious. Every bite I took of my taco was amazing. Probably the best fajitas Ive had in Austin. Cannot wait to eat them again. Overall a bit pricey, but would definitely recommend! Cant wait to be back.

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.

Decided to come in and the cashier greeted us and was really nice and patient because of questions with the menu. The Taco Bueno is what I had ordered and requested no potato. Sat down and after a few seconds, chips & salsa was delivered. Then after a few minutes, the food came. Quick service for sure and the food, AMAZING. Anyone reading this, try this place out and if u like it, come back! Cuz we are for sure =D
