Decent chicken. A little extra greasy. It is fried chicken after all. Flavor was a 4 out of 5. I am biased because I oened a chicken shack before and this doesn't come close to a "crown or kennedy fried chicken". The options for sides are great. Something different from your average mac n cheese, fries etc. But i gave 4 stars instead of 5 mainly because of price. 2 pieces of chicken , bread , n 4 sticks of yuka fries with a medium drink $10. Altho this isn't my first time here.. this is my first time being here on such a packed day. But I guess this is the after work crowd so I'm not mad, plus the 10-15 min wait I was warned about by the cashier should ensure that I'm getting fresh chicken/ food, so fingers crossed. As I recalled the chicken was very well seasoned and packed with flavor. Their fried chicken is crispy and juicy, although their grilled is no chump when it comes on the juicy category either! I'm not a fan of their rice myself, nor their mash potatoes for that matter, but this isn't the place you'd order mash (or Cole slaw for that matter, looked like a bowl of mayo w/ diced lettuce in it from another patrons tray). Although I was expecting a lot more from their rice to be honest. It's good for what it is. I feel like there is value here but I have been disappointed as I tend to get grilled chicken and they have "run out" of it. All you sell is chicken how can you run out of it? If you are in a pinch, want something quick with a Hispanic twist to it this is your place though. They have the rice, beans, rice and beans, corn tortilla's and all the other fixings. The food is pretty good. I actually ordered it 2 days in a row. However, the first time one of my sides was missing. No problem they added it to my 2nd order for free. They were quite apologetic. With this virus, I am a lot more compassionate, or else I would've given them a 4. Plus we had more than enough food. I do not eat Popeye's or Kentucky, still not sure if its real chicken. This place has very high reviews and is a welcome fast food chicken change from the usual suspects in the area. Ordered a bunch of chicken and a side of rice with some French fries. Was kind of surprised they just have drums and thighs. No biggie because that's what I like anyway. The flavor was good, not great. It have the Latin flavor I like but nothing spectacular. We ordered from here because the commercials looked amazing. We were in the mood for some good take out Spanish food. I have to say we were very disappointed. We ordered family size meals to get family sides and they were not delivered. I called the restaurant and they asked me to come pick it up. I told them we are ordering contactless delivery so we do not have to go to the restaurant. Next they asked my address and someone would bring the sides. Not surprised NO ONE SHOWED UP! Their grilled chicken is great! Strong flavor, nice color. Refreshing and zesty with a citrus-y lime, light herb kick. Sometimes overcooked and dry, other times moist which is best. Even the meat has a hint of the flavor. Sadly, they do often run out, in which case I turn to their fried chicken which isn't bad. Crispy breaded skin with less fat and smaller in comparison to KFC or Popeyes, and often juicy. Not heavy or oily. If you want something that you crave for like KFC, but need a change of flavor...find something else, but don't come here. It's not run down or awful, but the chicken really lacks. The best thing I can say I appreciated was the Yucca fries, with one if their sauces. Last but not least smartphoning the address might put you in the wrong spot. Save yourself the trouble of getting lost if you still want to try this place by driving to the corner of East Front Street and Roosevelt. Maybe it's gotten better since I began this review in 2011 and failed to complete it because I'm lazy. read more

My friend took me here and man I was blown away. The flavor in the chicken is outstanding. Every piece is juicy and tender. The rice and seasoned beans on the side were very good. The food is great but is way over priced not to mention the fact that across the street there's an even cheaper fried chicken place with chicken just as good. It's also way too busy all the time and the employees often rush you to leave for other people. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the food and employees. The menu is really long but most of the choices are too expensive and similar to other menu items so there is not variety to the amount of things you can order. They also take an extremely long time making the food and a lot of times they run out of fried chicken which is literally what this restaurant is known for selling.
