The place may not look like much in the inside but the chicken and sides are awesome. The chicken has a nice smoky flavor and the sauces that come with it are fantastic, very favorable. The 2 sides that I tried, Spanish rice and black beans, tasted like they were homemade which I assume are. Very good food for a value price! Having been to many Peruvian chicken places over the years, most have a monotony to the food they make. However here the sides all have a unique twist to the average Peruvian chicken standards. I highly recommend the beans and Spanish rice, both very well made. On top of those, the arroz chaufa rice dish is an incredible Asian fusion style dish. To mix it up even further, I saw some Mexican inspired options like burritos and quesadillas, but went with chips and the homemade guacamole and queso. I was absolutely stunned at the fact that such incredible queso can be found at a Peruvian chicken restaurant. In conclusion, not only do they make the staples well here, but they go above and beyond to diversify the menu, keeping it fresh and giving us patrons many options to cycle through over what will be many trips to come! read more

This was my first visit. 1/4 chicken with fried plantains and side house salad. The chicken was dry in a few places and the portion was really small, like a kid size. The sauce that comes with the chicken( white and green) were delicious. The plantains were good, however I didn't care for the sweet cream that came on the side. There are tables for seating(6 tables) and it was really clean inside. The gentlemen in the kitchen and the manager were very nice and accomadating. After asking how my meal was by the manager, I told him the chicken was dry, I was given another 1/4 chicken. It was a tad bit smaller than the first but it looked a whole lot better. Pollo Delicioso is a real gem! It's tasty, portion sizes are huge, prices are low, and the lady who handed me my food was really sweet. I got the half chicken with Spanish rice and pinto beans for sides, plus an order of guacamole. We have enjoyed the other Peruvian restaurants in the state so thought we'd try this one out. The directions to it are misleading as it takes you through the drive through. We thought maybe there was no inside service but there is. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant itself was disappointing for a place that hasn't been opened long. It looked worn out already; dark and uninviting. Needs an update. The dining space is fairly small but they put in as many tables as possible; looks a bit cramped. The tables actually touch the rope where people line up so while you're sitting enjoying a meal you could have a bunch of strangers' behinds joining you. So I'm from Florida and loved some Pollo Tropical. Pollo Delicioso has filled that void in my life! Chicken was very well seasoned and the amount of sides given was very generous for the price. Delicioso indeed! My husband picked up dinner for us here this past Sunday. We ordered chicken (white meat for me), rice, beans, french fries, and chips with queso. Everything was so good! I have been anticipating this restaurant's opening, and they did not disappoint. The chicken was moist and well seasoned, actually everything was well seasoned--beans, rices, chips... Their spicy green sauce is delicious--I'm guessing it's a cilantro, jalapeño and lime sauce. I ate it with everything. Long story short, I have no criticisms. Wow. Our first visit and the food was top notch, and speedily prepared. We ordered a #2 dark 1/4 chicken meal and a taco platter, all to go. The food was fresh and very tasty. The beef taco meat was rather spicy but not outside a normal range. Robert customized a few things for us, like cooking the green beans without pepper. The empanadas were a bit too dark but tasted amazing. I absolutely loved the soft plantains - after 30 years of marriage to a Puerto Rican girl, I know how they should be prepared, and these were perfect. We will definitely be back. read more

Wow! Such great food - the chicken is awesome, the fried yuca and plantains are fantastic. Try both of the sauces on the chicken and mix it with the rice - you will not be disappointed. Bring a couple of friends and try one of the specials - a whole chicken, 4 sides, a bottle of soda and sauces for less than $22. You can call in an order and drive around behind the building to use the pickup window on the side of the building. My family really enjoys being treated with take out from Pollo Delicioso. The service is fast and the food is very good. It is homemade and does not taste like fast food. The spices are unique so may not appeal to all, however if you enjoy Peruvian food you will love this! Chicken DELICIOUS! I'm 55 years old, I've been in the Navy 34 years, and I have traveled the world - this is, simply stated, the best chicken I have ever had. Marinated, Seasoned, and Cooked to perfection. Even after a 25 minutes drive home, it was still perfect! As was the pinto beans, the yuca, and the plantains - would not change in the slightest. I found this place with my mom out of the blue. Had never heard of it or seen it before. Decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. When we got there at lunch time the only people there were the owner and his mom working the kitchen. One of the nicest owners I've ever met. He asked if we'd ever been there or had Peruvian chicken before, and he told us about basically everything on the menu and how it's made. Very pleasant and seemed genuinely grateful for our business. Excellent customer service. And the food was AMAZING. I wish I had taken some pics, but the smells were driving me crazy as soon as I walked in. I got the 1/4 white meat chicken with brown rice and black bean soup, and my mom got 1/4 dark meat chicken with fried plantains and brussel sprouts. The chicken had so much flavor and was perfectly cooked, and came with 2 amazing sauces. Think the green might be my fave. The rice and black bean soup were also delicious, and I had to steal more than a few of the fried plantains. Definitely getting those next time. Sides were generous and well-prepared. The plantain and the yucca were some of best I've had. Brussel sprouts were nice and garlicy, the way I like them. Rice was better than the typical orange-colored "Spanish" white rice. The 1/4-chicken portion was small. When I picked-up the chicken container, I thought it was empty, but there was, indeed, a piece of chicken inside. Next time, I'll get a 1/2-chicken portion. Not complaining, just reporting. A much needed theme restaurant in Prince Frederick. Too many chain food places so it is refreshing to have a family owned place. The Chicken is equal to any Peruvian rotisserie Chicken in the DC/VA/MD area. I was pleasantly surprised that the Rice & Beans are the BEST I have had from a Peruvian Chicken Restaurant. We have tried the entire menu and everything was great. We are in the food business ourselves and it is our go too place after a long weekend of cooking in our business. We just want to relax with a good meal at a reasonable price. The Pinto Beans are very flavorful, the Sauteed Brussels Sprouts and Sauteed Green Beans are fresh and garlicky.
