Golden Chick was one of the places that I had never been to until today. So this is simply my first take on their product as well as this particular location. The first thing I noticed was NO BISCUIT... that already peaked my interest. Frankly, I had grown tired of the same old biscuits just changed ever so slightly to distinguish themselves apart from each other. Golden chick provided me with a soft dinner roll which I appreciated in the change of pace. The chicken was crispy, cooked thoroughly and came hot. The taste was just so-so, and on the bland side with little seasoning. A hefty amount of hot sauce was definitely needed. The mash potatoes and gravy wears seasoned well but was 95% potato and 5% gravy which was a sad ratio. The service here was prompt and courteous, they were polite and accommodating. The location seemed new and clean. Overall it was a good experience but obviously could do better in the future. I will be trying them again to see if there are any changes. UPDATE: As I finished up the first piece of my 2 piece meal I discovered a few small packets of seasoning packets hidden amongst the hot sauce... the certainly boosted the flavor of my chicken. My only gripe is that the chicken should've been seasoned before they cooked it and not after.

When I got home the tenders/fries were good, but OMG the combination fried rice was awful. I didn't even taste it due to the fact when I opened the container it smelled burnt. Looking at it, it didn't look like Chinese at all. It looks like rice toasted with salt and pepper. No brown color (Like the picture over the cashier looked like).
