Yes, Store 57 the manager named Elvbr it was very hot today in Florida on a Thursday and it was like 90 to 101° today. I had to pull over my vehicle cause I was dehydrated and I asked the manager over. Could I have with a cup of ice and he was more than happy to give it to me. He also wanted to make sure I had enough vitamin C so he gave me a fruit punch as well. I think that it's excellent service. Pollo Tropical is a great chicken joint. No frills, just good chicken. They have other options on the menu too. The sides are nothing fancy, just good home Latin cooking. I like the black beans and yellow rice. The prices are definitely pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. On Mondays they always have the family meal for $19.99, and if you sign up for the rewards program, you usually get it for $15.99. The only thing is I recommend you go during the peak hours, just order on the app and it's usually faster. If you go on the off times, sometimes the chicken has been sitting for a while and is dry. read more

One year later and this location is still making mistakes. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp Salad with Rice (exactly what their website labeled it) and they did not give me any rice at all. The shrimp could have been better. They were hard. Guacamole tasted like it came out of a plastic bag. Lettuce was a little dirty. Prettier than it tastes. This location needs work on their service. Poor service. I don't understand how simple ingredients are always missing. Also the employees here have a terrible habit of burning holes in the styrofoam boxes. Whether it's from a spiking hot foot items or completely melted from a hot area I don't know. All I know is that their attention to detail needs a lot of work. read more

First time at this Pollo Tropical in Boca Raton, FL. The drive thru was empty but decided to go inside to order 4 meals. The cashier was polite but confused, so it took some time ordering but we finally got it all right except forgot the black beans on one of the TropiChops. It never goes smoothly when ordering at any Pollo location from our experience. We took the meals home which were packed perfectly and lids were tight. It was around $50.00 for four meals and drinks which is a great price. The meals were still warm and delish. read more

Unfortunately, over the years, this place has been on a steady decline. Today it took first prize as the worst meal I ever had at this chain. This one was on Federal Highway in Boca, my first time at this location. We ordered the six-piece shrimp with a salad and no cheese. We went to get five shrimp and a salad with cheese. When we initially ordered the food, we were specific about the cheese. We overlooked the cheese until we sat at the table and started eating the shrimp. When I questioned that at the counter, they said, "Oh, I don't understand why" They proceeded to dig up the shrimp from someplace and provide us with the sixth shrimp. The other order was half a chicken with black beans and rice, a simple, straightforward request. Well, don't you think they messed that up, too? They brought the order out with just the black beans but no rice. Nothing end of itself is critical, but when you combine everything together, it shows a total lack of competence in the staff. I found that to be the same as the other location in West Boca. Now let's get to the food! The shrimp tasted like it was reheated and disgusting; the coding of the shrimp was removed, and the shrimp was consumed without the coating and still didn't taste good. The chicken was horrible, and it was a dry taste, like it's been sitting out for a while and you needed water to wash it down. I had placed an order at 10:34pm, which was supposed to be ready at 10:44pm. I went to the store and they had told me that there was no order under my name. I had showed the employees both the confirmation in the app and email. They kept saying that they didn't see an order under my name and when she repeated the name to the other employee, she had started on an order, so i assumed it was mine. 20 minutes went by as i kept looking at them to call my name, they just kept repeating it over and over again to each other. Then finally i got up to them again asking, they ask for the confirmation, i then showed them it again, they then said AGAIN that they did not see it. It took getting the manager to look at past orders to see that they had already "completed" it. When the manager found it, she was gonna start the order, but then one of the ladies grabbed a 1/2 chicken that had been sitting there for at least 8 minutes already and then put my rice in the box, then she went and got my yuca bites. I think she had started my order then "completed" it but never finished it. After she finished packing it up, she asked me to repeat my order back to her as if i faked putting in an order. The restaurant is pretty average, probably a 3 star HOWEVER the Manager Eva is a 5 star woman! I went there tonight for dinner and went thru the drive thru and the woman that rang up my order overcharges me so I asked for a Manager. I could see the Manager as she already had made eye contact with me to let me know that she would be right with me. I was charged a different price than was was listed on the drive thru menu. I thought they had just raised the price and had not taken the time to update it. The truth was the woman ringing up my order had over charged me. Eva promptly took care of it and I was given a free meal. She had me pull over so I didn't hold up the line for the folks behind me. I saw her quickly coming out to return my debit card and on the way out she was helping yet another customer. I really dislike giving bad reviews but WOW A few years ago I moved back to Boca. This was the closest pollo tropical and... disappointment is what happened! It isn't even really the food that is the problem. I do think this place has gone down hill with the food. I feel it was better years ago. Maybe back in the day it was made with love but now no love. It is decent food but not as good as it used to be. The problem is the service.... well lack there of! The service is horrible. I love language. I think it is amazing to know two or more languages but when I am saying what I want off the menu exactly from the menu and you don't understand English.. uhm.... and you have to keep asking another co-worker to help understand and that co-worker is throwing a fit because so many of the employees don't understand English, well it just made me super uncomfortable because then I was met with attitude. This was my second visit. (this visit was inside) The first visit was about the same (drive thru). The wait was super long and most of the order ( my fault for not checking while in line) was wrong. First off I started by going through the drive through and when I ordered they told me I needed to go inside for some reason. I parked and went inside, in the middle of ordering the one worker taking my order left without saying anything and was gone for a few minutes. She brought back the manager, none of the workers spoke English and it made everything extremely difficult. None of the other workers in there were willing to help or answer any questions. I had asked for sauce on the side and they had acted like it was such a chore to get me sauce. I tried calling the toll free number to let them know and no one is answering. What they can offer me is some sort of coupon and not a refund of my money which they so happily took. Why would I want coupons to order food from an establishment that apparently can't read? I had to run an errand in Boca on 8/11/20 and was hungry,so.....It was the beginning of the lunch hour and they had no coins for change, none. These people must really hate their jobs. I used to live in South Florida (Miami) and loved Pollo Tropical. I was excited to have it on this visit. I've never been so uncomfortable ordering food in my life. This goes beyond rude. The woman didn't greet me, didn't ask for my order, wouldn't look me in the eye. I'm not super familiar with the menu since I haven't lived here for years. I ordered a half chicken with two sides and asked for plantains as one of the sides. She just said, "that's not a side," while looking somewhere else. I just quickly chose another side because, like I said, I was so uncomfortable. I realized later I could have just ordered the chicken with one side and gotten the plantains in addition. I wanted to order them later, but didn't because I just didn't want to deal with ordering again. I don't know what they do to these people to make them act like this, but it must be a terrible place to work. This is my local Pollo Tropical, and usually I don't have much problems. They have mistaken my order sometimes but a very small amount of times compared to the many times I've came here. However, the other day I came in with a couple friends and we decided to eat there. (Usually I do drive-thru). And I did not have a good experience, neither did my friends. They all kept saying, "this is the worst pollo I've ever been too." This was said, because the cashier, Girlaine, was the most unfriendly, unapproachable, and monotoned lady. She had no response to us, to where we weren't sure if she could hear us. I repeated my meal a couple times just in case, and in the end it was wrong anyways. It took 10 minutes to get a refill on our drinks or waters, and it also took forever for our food to be ready. We were probably at pollo for an hour and half which includes us eating, but having to wait for each other because everyone got their food at different times with a good amount of time in between. One positive thing is that their food is good, taste the same to me as any other pollo. The parking isn't bad and sometimes the drive-thru line is crazy!! read more

AVOID! I am a long time pollo tropical fan. I'd say most locations usually offer good services and food is what you would expect. This location is something else entirely. I've been to this location over 6 times, each visit my opinion of this place got lower and lower. The service is my largest complaint. Rude workers who seem to not care about the customer, can't even be bothered to smile or exchange pleasantries. They also act bothered when I ask for extra condiments and sauces with my meal which is one of the reasons I like pollo tropical. I always get the same meal but am sometimes charged differently which is annoying. Seems like they're just mashing buttons back there on the register. On my last visit I had a young lady (Yvetta) who had a difficulty understanding my order and there was definitely a language barrier, however she was extremely rude to me when I informed her my 5$ meal doesn't cost 9$ (which she wanted to charge me.) After requesting a manager she got another employee who I could tell was NOT the manager, employee #2 didn't speak or look at me but fixed the pricing error. Finally I got my food at the right price and when I requested some condiments the window was slammed in my face. Chicken was underwhelming and over-cooked anyway. I had the worst experience at the pollo tropical at Lincoln Blvd in Delray Beach. Their mistake by forgetting items in my meal, I called and was asked to come back in and the manage Maria or Vanessa would take care of the issue. FYI dont do that - the manager Vanessa is very incompetent, cant believing she is a manager.....Maria was not much help either You would think that businesses strive to at least seem considerate about the issues customers face, she was very belittling, confrontational and seemingly to lack basis comprehension skills.
