When first walking in we noticed how immaculately clean this restaurant was. The service was very warm and attentive! The Parker's margarita was so tasty and delicious and they had several wonderful drinks and bites on the social hour. The coconut crush tasted like a fresh/ non frozen piña colada- delicious! Very good place esp. for lunch. Clean, modern dining room with a nice bar, and a good lunch special menu. Wednesday is their Bang Bang shrimp special day, where this appetizer is just $7 - crispy shrimp in a delicious spicy sauce. We also ordered bang-bang shrimp tacos (2 tacos in the same spicy sauce), which I paired with a small Caeser salad - great meal; fish and chips, crispy and flavorful, as well as chicken Caeser salad - nicely grilled, and the dressing was excellent. They also have some good Mocktails - I highly recommend the Nojito! We ended the meal with a slice of cheesecake that was very smooth. I'm really disappointed writing this because the food itself was actually very good. I had a salmon which was packed with flavor with mashed potatoes. I upgraded to the Brussels sprouts and they did not disappoint probably my favorite bite of the night. My large group had a reservation at 7:15 on a Monday. Our waiter was kind, but not very attentive for a larger table. The food took a while to come out, but when it did, it was flavorful and fresh. Unfortunately, our night took a serious turn. One of the guests in our party took a bite of his cauliflower and immediately turned red. His throat started closing and he went into anaphylactic shock. We can only assume some type of cross contamination came into contact with his food. He had to leave immediately because he could not breathe. We informed our waitress right away. She apologized and said she felt bad and didn't know how it happened. When we received the bill, she told us she removed the drink he had since it was full when he had to leave in a rush. However, she said she couldn't remove his meal because it had already been mostly eaten. I was honestly shocked that they wouldn't remove one entrée after someone had a severe allergic reaction at their restaurant. About 30 minutes passed and no manager came to speak with us. We asked if the manager was aware of the situation. The manager, Bill, eventually came over, handed us the receipt, said "I took care of their meals, here is your receipt," and walked away. There was no apology, no concern shown, and he didn't ask if our friend was okay. The lack of professionalism and compassion from management was extremely disappointing. If we hadn't had this experience, they would have received a good rating because the food was good. But if you have food allergies, I would be very cautious dining here. A serious allergic reaction should be handled with urgency, care, and professionalism, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. read more

My friends and I love coming here on Monday's for Martini Mondays where their martinis (and some cocktails) are only $5. It can get busy but we usually make reservations with no problem. Our servers are always friendly and super great. Well usually get a couple apps to share along with the main course (or sometimes in place of) and a couple of drinks and it's always a good time. I came to attend A Journey of Seas & Sips at Bonefish Grill, located in Uptown Boca. This was a 4-course cocktail pairing dinner highlighting the tropical essence of the season. Those in attendance for the event was seated in an area close to the bar. Servers came by and filled everyone's glass with water while we all waited for the first course. Course one - chargrilled oysters paired with lychee martini. I'm so grateful these oysters were cooked cause I would've avoided them if they were raw...honestly they were very good. They were grilled with garlic lemon butter and topped with parmesan cheese, and served with toasted pesto crostini. Though I didn't know what lychee was, the drink was sweet and absolutely delicious. Course two - sweet corn linguine with shrimp paired with fresh watermelon martini. This was an enjoyable dish. Perfectly grilled shrimp served over al dente linguine tossed in a creamy sauce. The watermelon martini was lightly sweet and very refreshing. Course three - pineapple salsa shrimp & scallop skewers paired with matcha rum colada. Tasting scallops for the very first time and I really liked how it was prepared. The shrimp was good in this dish which was served with Jasmine rice and roasted corn in a smoky chili sauce. I never had any drink with matcha before, but this drink was pretty good. I don't know what matcha is supposed to taste like...all I tasted was the sweet flavors of pineapple and coconut. I ate a small amount of this dish cause I wanted to save room for the last course. I asked for a carryout container to take home the leftovers. Course four - mango rum cheesecake paired with mai tai. This was a perfect ending to an amazing meal. Creamy cheesecake topped with diced mango and complemented with Myer's rum sauce. The mai tai was nicely made and wasn't too strong. This whole dinner was well put together by the pleasant staff who made sure each transition between the courses ran smoothly and the removal of the plates and glasses was done in a timely manner. We had a great lunch here. We sat at the bar and had very good and friendly service from Sebastian. We got to chat with his manager, Bill, as well. We talked about wines, and south Florida favorites, and other Bonefish Grill locations among other things. As many times as we'd been to this shopping center to other places, we'd never been to this Bonefish which has been here about 4 years. And we thought we'd been to them all as loyal Dine Rewards members. A shout out to Yelp Elite, Jo H, who attended a special event here. Because of her recent review, we decided to stop by. Thank you. We had a couple appetizers as our lunch. My husband had their crunchy sashimi. He said it was very good. Just what he was craving. I got the Josephine mussels appetizer. On a recent girls weekend to Boca Raton, my friend & I enjoyed a very pleasant lite meal and drinks. We sat at the bar. Victoria, our bartender/server was very friendly and attentive. Had Happy Hour today with my family after we got done with my son's doctor's appointment. The ahi wonton crisps were amazing and the bee's knees martini I had was very good! The fresh margarita wasn't too bad as well but the martini was my favorite! on a previous visit, I saw a waiter bring out a burger, and it looked really good. I went for lunch on Friday and got the burger on the prefixed menu. Came with a very good Brussels sprots salad And beverage. The burger was ordered Medium with extra onions (had a scare amount with a small handful of fries) and standard toppings. First bite saw it was cooked well done, dried out and had no flavor. When waiter came over to see how everything was, I showed him and he agreed it was well done. But did not offer to replace it. So only could endure 1/2 and wrapped the rest to give to my dogs. Told the waiter David, I guess it is true of the saying, to never get a burger from a fish place. Which I got no response! We had a 7:00 reservation for 6 people. All of us were at the restaurant 10 minutes early, it wasn't full and we weren't seated until 7:30. Service was slow and the food was horrible. Started with Calamari for the table. It was cold, soggy and way too oily. My cousin ordered the mussels and a good portion of them weren't open. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with Chimichurri sauce and Seasonal Vegetables and ended up with was over-cooked Mahi Mahi with a lemon sauce and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. They mixed up a few other orders too. The scampi sauce is also bland and does not have that garlicky flavor... it reminds me of a butter sauce. So this dish is a complete disaster and should be improved or removed from the menu. The look and feel of the restaurant is very good. They do have specials that are worth looking over. The bar is nice (although the larger pour of a modest wine the charge was well overpriced, and my martini was not a good pour). Basically you can have a nice meal, but if you want to really have good and fresh prepared, this is probably not the right place (but they could become that place if they made some adjustments). read more

Tonight we had a group dinner at Bonefish Grill, and what should have been a nice evening turned into a medical emergency. One member of our party experienced a severe allergic reaction due to what appears to have been cross-contamination. His throat began closing, he could not speak, and we he had to leave immediately to address the situation. To make matters worse, another friend in our group who is allergic to shellfish also began experiencing an allergic reaction. This clearly raises serious concerns about cross contamination and kitchen safety procedures. Food allergies are not a preference they are a life threatening medical condition. When we informed staff about the reaction, there was no apology, no urgency, and no acknowledgment of the seriousness of what had just happened from manager bill.That lack of concern was deeply disappointing and alarming. Restaurants have a responsibility to take allergies seriously and to train staff properly to prevent cross-contamination. The absence of accountability or even a simple apology shows a troubling disregard for customer safety. I really hope management takes this seriously and implements better allergy protocols before someone is hurt even more severely. read more

Besides the good food, Nani was probably one of the best Servers we have ever encountered. She was very engaging and it was a real pleasure speaking with her. This was quite possibly the worst dining experience we've ever had. Ordered the calamari appetizer, which was good. Ordered the salmon with mushrooms, green beans and potatoes. Salmon was overcooked, mushrooms were from a can, green beans were overcooked and potatoes were shriveled up from over cooking. Only ate the salmon and couldn't stomach eating the rest. Absolute garbage. Son ordered the fish tacos which he didn't eat. No flavor and he didn't eat at all. Wife ordered the shrimp with pineapple risotto. The ladies and I enjoyed a relaxing weekday evening at Bonefish. We had reservations, however, the restaurant was not very busy. We were seated immediately and our server came over to offer drinks and appetizers. The location was great in a big shopping area with lots of parking. Because it was a slow night, the restaurant and bar atmosphere was very pleasant and we were able to talk without a lot of noise or distractions. We ordered our main dishes and most were happy with their selections. The dishes came out fresh, hot and well seasoned. I ordered the grilled Halibut on top of jasmine rice and freshly sautéd spinach which was really good. Others ordered grilled Grouper and bang bang shrimp tacos. We had our sauces on the side and they were all delicious. We were celebrating a birthday that evening and we received a complimentary dessert. We went to Bonefish last night with family. A party of 8. Excellent waitress. I ordered a steak rare without chimicurri sauce. The waitress, just before serving came to me and told me that the kitchen mistakenly put sauce on top. She said she would request to remake it. Two minutes later she returned and said that the chef was taking an order from another table and giving it to me. However the meat was well done. We took it anyway as I didn't want to upset anyone. We were here with several friends for a birthday - how delightful. We went to the bar and had a drink at happy hour prices. Then we all sat down and ordered our meals - I ordered small salmon (just grilled) and steamed broccoli and coleslaw. I must say I was very pleased. They are known for their fish so I was delighted with my meal! We had a cake that they stored in the back for us for the two women who were celebrating their birthdays!! I was kind of stuck in the middle of the group so I could only get up once or twice. I would go back with a big group again as they did separate checks which is always nice. BTW, if you are a member of AARP, you get 10% off your bill (I am not so that is not for me). They are in Uptown Boca just east of 441. I would also recommend joining their rewards program which works with several other restaurant chains. The service started slow and remained that way all night. The drinks were ordered and delivered easily but then it took awhile to order dinner. The bread wasn't brought out until asking twice. The main course took over an hour to get and follow up with wrong items never took place. We were their celebrating a birthday and since it took so long we didn't stay for dessert.
