The employees are rude and not very helpful. I came last night to try and get food from the drive-through after getting off of work and they told me that since they were closing in a half an hour that they hardly had anything left and if I wanted french fries they would be cold, the employee seemed as if he were just trying to get rid of customers instead of trying to make a sale. I told him if it was too much trouble I could just go somewhere else and so I did. I have also had a bad encounter with the same location before, I went through the drive-through and one of the employees never even gave me my credit card back I had to call and cancel my card and wait to get a new one by mail. Today we stopped at PT for a chicken family dinner. Today it was the best service (fast & accurate) that I've ever had. The chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy (aside), and Caesar salad were perfectly cooked. Today 5star. Stephen took my order- quick & precise. The head gal at the delivery table checked for accuracy and provided grilled onions (no charge) & sauces as requested. I was amazed. Having an older seasoned staff is the difference. We have frequented PT for years & younger staff frequently made omissions or errors (no gravy?!!), improper sauces, too many croutons, and slow service. I stopped shopping HERE for dinner. Most likely management read my complaints as well as other's dissatisfied clientele. A $20 dinner here beats any Publix or Costco chicken special. Why can't the drive thru ever get our order right? Tonight we ordered a large chicken tropichop with brown rice, onions, tomatoes, peppers, black beans and lettuce. What we got was a small one with white rice, no onions. We caught the small on the receipt and they rectified it. But why oh why can't they get it right? Still had the white rice and missing veggies. I went through drive thru and when I got home my half a chicken was so dry, it looked like it spent a year in the Sahara, the rice was a giant clump of nastiness and the black beans taste and looked like dish soap. I have gone to this same restaurant twice since my prior experiences with bad service and I am happy to say that they have turns things around. The food has always been good. I would even say great. And the restaurant has been clean every time I've been there. I am very happy that they have improved their service to the quality and level of the food they serve. We picked up lunch at the drive thru during the weekend. The line was pretty long, but it was worth it for high-quality fast food. I tried the original Cuban sandwich. I was weary since I've only had chicken entrees at Pollo Tropical. But I was so happy I tried it. The pork was tender and the sandwich was so flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of most types of pickles and mustard but they worked well in this sandwich. Nothing was overpowering. We also ordered a grilled chicken strip kids meal. You get a lot of great food for $4.99! In addition to a seasoned chicken breast cut into strips, it came with a side--French fries--apple juice, and a chocolate cookie. The chicken was juicy and tender. The cookie was delicious and reminded me of a brownie. One of my children prefers crispy chicken strips, so I hope to see that on the menu in the future. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. Tried their new original Cuban pressed sandwiches, it was good I would get again. They also have tostones again for a limited time! Needs more salt but was great with the garlic cilantro dip. Fairly priced for the amount of food you get! This could be 2 meals for me. All of this costed $13 sandwich, beans and rice, fountain drink and tostones. They were busy and can be hard to order at times I suggest ordering online ahead of time. read more

The wait was ridiculous. They messed up my orders and when I had to get a refund the manager had to get on the phone w/ someone to instruct her how to process the refund. While doing so customers behind me walked out. Upon receiving the order the steak meal did not have chimichurri, the order that was refunded was in the bag, and the food was just mediocre at best. We went for lunch because we saw the advertising in tv for the churrasco steak bowl, it didn't look like the comercial, we didn't get the 8 pieces of avocado , just one, we complained and then they gave us in a bowl 2 pieces,the beans+corn were underneath and it was very small amount. The food is very good here, but their drive thru service is getting poor. Today, I ordered, among other things, a large white rice and a large black beans. I got a small black beans. I ordered a large boiled garlic yuca and got a small fried yuca. The one item out of my large order that I was craving was the garlic yuca. I tried to call several times but kept getting voice mails. I had sat in an extremely long drive thru line on the phone trying to talk to someone about buying the dinner for the deputy in the drive thru in front of me, but nobody ever answered the damn phone. When I got up to the order box, by the time anyone helped me and I could tell them I wanted to pay for the deputy's meal, the deputy was done paying.
